Weighing In.

Today is giving us all sorts of weather. I woke this morning to blue clouds and sprinklings of sunshine. Now it’s overcast, there is a slight chill (which I am loving) in the air and it’s been raining.

I woke Hubby this morning and asked if we could all go down the beach to take some photos of Lacey for our first photographic Christmas Card. We dressed her in a little Santa suit. It was soooo cute. A surfer walked by and said, “Christmas Card, right?” We all cracked up laughing. We must have looked funny. We got the shot though. I won’t share it because I don’t want to ruin it for the people that will be getting a card in the mail.

I weighed in on Thursday this week. I did have an appointment today but I was feeling like I needed to weigh in and get a bit more control again so I went in early. I ate a few cupcakes, as you know, over the weekend and wasn’t being as controlled as I would like during the week. I knew this behaviour would continue if I didn’t check in with my dietitian.

I was expecting to regain all my weight. I gain weight really easily and had in my mind that I would be back at the beginning again. I was at peace with that.

I put on 0.5kg. That’s perfect. Those cupcakes were worth that.

I love my dietitian. When I’ve been a member of Weight Watchers in the past, I’ve always felt like the biggest failure when the scale went up, not down, no matter how small the number.

My dietitian is so positive though. She has never given me a hard time, she’s so understanding. I love that she’s a Mum too. She also had a baby that never slept, so she knows how hard it is to take care of ourselves when we’re so sleep deprived.

What is even better is that I also get a rebate from the Government for five visits. So five visits a year are only $10 each. That’s cheaper than WW and it’s a one-on-one program.

So onward and upward from here. Or should I say onward and downward (on the scales). xx

  2. Hey Chantelle! My head is dense and I can’t see where your email is 🙁 My email is my blog name at yahoo. I’m thinking about going to a dietitian as well. But, it’ll have to be next year as money is tight for the rest of this year.

  3. definitely worth the cupcakes! thats nothing – I would call it a maintain really. its good that you have found someone who supports you and doesnt make you feel negative when you dont have a loss all the time.

  4. Shell – I love exercising but have trouble fitting it in. I’m pretty active though running around after 5 kids. 🙂

Simone – Good luck with the photo shoot. x

Heather – Thanks for your support. x

Sandy – Good luck with WW. x

Diana – I’ll type it out and email it to you today. I don’t know where my email is either! 😛

  5. Hi! I realize this is somewhat off-topic but I needed to ask.
Does building a well-established website like yours take a lot
of work? I’m completely new to running a blog however I do write in my journal everyday. I’d like
to start a blog so I can easily share my own experience and feelings online.
Please let me know if you have any recommendations or tips for brand new aspiring blog
    owners. Appreciate it!
