Have you ever done that thing where you’ve piled $Have you ever done that thing where you’ve piled your hands full of things in an attempt to do it one trip? You know you should just take something off your hands, but you’re stubborn, and you’re going to do it. And then you drop the keys, so you’re bending over to grab those while trying not to drop anything else, and then the sunglasses fall from your head… and it’s just a hot mess of things falling, and trying to pick them up, and trying to get where you need to go… and ugh. You know what I mean? That’s what life has felt like for the past year or so. A mess of dropping things, and picking them back up, and then when I think I’ve made it to where I need to go {life will get easier at some point, right?} and then something else gets added to my overflowing handful. I know I’m not alone. I know life is throwing us all curveballs. We’re ducking left, right and centre. Showing up here has been harder than usual, and it’s one of the things that I dropped and didn’t get a chance to pick back up, or get a good hold of. And I miss it. One of the biggest struggles has been that I’ve always openly shared, because I think the world {especially social} needs more authenticity - and for the past year my brain has been taken up mostly with the struggle/juggle/journey of parenting a teen with ADHD and MH stuff. And I want to share that, but there is a delicate dance of honouring her journey but also allowing myself a voice, and to connect and feel less alone in this wild ride. So this is me. Juggling. Dropping things. Doing the most work on myself that I’ve ever done. Advocating always. Showing up every day anyways. This is me. How have you been?
