This corn relish dip is an Aussie favourite, that my mum used to make for us for when we got home from school. It’s moorish, delicious, and perfect for the whole family.
This might be the easiest recipe on my blog, that it’s almost a crime to call it a recipe. Mix two things together? Hardly a recipe, right? But it’s a childhood favourite that deserves a spot on the blog, so here we are. And there was a time I had no idea what was in it, so hopefully it helps someone else make it too.
I was first introduced to this corn relish dip when I was about 7. I came home from school, and mum had set up a little afternoon snack platter. I looked at it with a little bit of disgust, but mum urged us all to try it, and we loved it.
How to make Corn Relish Dip
This is super easy to make! All you have to do is combine the ingredients into a medium bowl, and stir until well combined. I’ve tried it with other Corn Relishes, even an organic one, but I can’t go past the Masterfood one, it definitely tastes best.
If you’re looking for alternatives, some people prefer to make it with cream cheese, instead of sour cream. You could always try popping in some shallots or chives, to elevate it a little.
I make this on a Sunday, and pop it into an airtight container so there’s snacks for the week ahead. It’s also great for parties, and much cheaper than buying the store-bought version!
