Banana Nice Cream Recipe

Ingredients

5–6 large ripe bananas

Method

Peel and slice the bananas into coin-sized pieces. Place the bananas into 2–3 snap lock bags and place into the freezer overnight to freeze until rock solid.

To make the nice cream, add the bananas to the bowl of a food processor and blend until ultra-smooth. Your nice cream is now ready to be balled and eaten, or you could add a few of the following ingredients to transform the flavors.

Chocolate chip : Add 4 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tsp vanilla extract and stir in 1 cup chocolate chips after blending the banana and cocoa powder.

Peanut butter cup : Add 4 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tsp vanilla extract and 3 tbsp peanut butter.

Berry + almond : Add 1 cup mixed frozen berries, 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup, 1 tsp vanilla extract and 6 tbsp toasted almond flakes to sprinkle on top.

Mango + coconut : Add 2 cups frozen mango cubes and 6 tbsp toasted shredded coconut to sprinkle on top.

Mint choc chip : Add 1⁄2–1 tsp pure peppermint extract, 2 tsp spirallina powder to make it green and stir in 1 cup chocolate chips once the banana is blended.
