  1. .. the Rainforest school sounds so exciting……..but I can understand you concern for Lulu.
You have to believe the teacher’s checks are thorough. I’m assuming no child has been bitten by a snake yet, or you would have mentioned it. Breathe and relax….. How often do they spend the day in the Rainforest ?? ….. maybe you could go as a helper.. or not … …… Barb xx

  2. Lulu will love it, you are so lucky be able to give her this opportunity. I would have chosen it for my kids if it had been available. There is a C & K Daycare in our town that offers one day a week in the bush like this and they do take safety precautions (I have worked for C&K). The kids start building cubbies and finish them or add to them the next time they go. They can use their imaginations in a way they rarely get to these days. And I know we have lots of snakes, but my kids go Mountain Bike riding with my husband and they have track building days and they do see snakes, but they usually take off when they hear people coming. I don’t think they would hang around a bunch of kids, but I am sure they will educate the kids about snake safety.
And there’s mud, glorious mud! Kids love the stuff.
Enjoy it and watch her blossom.

  3. Truth be told, I’ve teared up the first day of term every year.
I know I am in the minority of parents waiting for holidays to be over, especially as we had a really chilled break this summer. I will admit, it is nice to get back into some kind of rhythm.
Umm rainforest school sounds like the best thing ever. I dare not mention this to Sadie otherwise we’ll be on the first plane up there!!!
Hope you’ve made it through the first week with minimal tears and anxiety xoxo
