Le Méridien Phuket Beach Resort review: private beach escape

This is my honest review of Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort, sharing what our stay was really like, from the rooms and pools to the food, location and whether it’s worth booking.

Le Meridien Phuket

Some places feel like Thailand.

And then some places feel like you’ve somehow landed in Hawaii… while still being in Thailand.

That was exactly how Le Méridien Phuket Beach Resort felt to me. From the moment we arrived, with palms lining the pathways, big open spaces and that relaxed island energy, I kept thinking, this feels like a tropical dream. If I didn’t know better, I honestly would have thought we were in Hawaii.

It was calm, beautiful and effortlessly relaxing, the kind of resort that makes you slow your pace without even trying.

This review is based on our own stay and is written for anyone planning a trip to Phuket and wondering if this hotel is worth booking. I’ll share what stood out, what to know before you go, who it’s best for and whether I’d stay here again.

This stay was kindly hosted for editorial consideration, but all thoughts are genuinely my own.

Le Meridien Phuket

Where is Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort located?

The resort is set on a stunning stretch of coastline right next to Karon Beach.

In real-life terms:

  • About 10 minutes from Patong
  • Close to shops and services
  • But incredibly peaceful once you’re inside the resort

There’s a small strip of shops just outside with:

  • Massages
  • A convenience store
  • Laundry services

Which is super handy if you need anything quick without heading into town.

This location is perfect if you want:

  • Easy access to Patong without the chaos
  • A peaceful beachfront resort
  • Walkable essentials nearby

First impressions

Check-in was easy, calm and beautifully organised.

There were plenty of lounges to relax in while everything was sorted, and we were given bracelets on arrival which made the whole experience feel effortless from the start. Our bags were already in our room before we even got there.

It set the tone immediately: relaxed, smooth and stress-free.

Our room

Our room was modern, clean and incredibly comfortable.

We had views over the pool and the beach, and even with rainy and overcast weather during part of our stay, you could still tell just how beautiful this place is.

The room felt fresh, spacious and perfect for unwinding at the end of the day.

At the time of our stay, prices were starting from around $242 a night. You can check availability here.

Pools, beach & facilities

This is where Le Méridien really shines.

The resort has:

  • Large pools so you’re never crowded
  • A private beach (one of my favourite beaches I’ve ever swum at, anywhere in the world)
  • Gentle, protected waves perfect for families
  • Plenty of space to relax

The beach in particular was something special. Calm, clear and incredibly beautiful.

Fun fact: around 70% of rooms have a view, which really adds to the overall experience.

Food & dining

Unreal. Honestly.

There are eight restaurants across the resort, and everything we tried was delicious. But the standout for me was the pad see ew, which I can confidently say was the best I’ve ever had.

There’s live music at night, relaxed dining vibes, and plenty of variety so you never get bored.

Food here felt like a highlight, not just something convenient.

Is Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort worth it?

An outstanding YES.

When I come back to Phuket, this is the hotel I’d choose to stay at again, especially if I’m travelling with family.

Between the private beach, the pools, the food and the calm vibe, it really felt like the perfect balance of luxury and relaxation.

Next time I’m bringing my snorkelling gear too. I was told by a fellow snorkelling enthusiast that she’s spotted rock lobsters here and that it’s one of the best snorkelling spots in Phuket.
