Eight delightfully non-chocolate Easter goodies. You like?

You might as well nickname me Cheese because I’m a sucker for all the celebrating and holidays that happen throughout the year. Oh yes it’s cheesy, and it’s commercial, and it’s so Hallmark-y… but I like it.

I’ve totally bought what they’re selling.

I’m not officially religious but I’ve always loved Easter. Maybe because it involves chocolate, my favourite food group and perhaps because there’s no stress of spending gazillions of dollars buying family members presents that they don’t really need anyway {ahem, Christmas… I’m looking at you}.

We always do something fun for Lacey, like an Easter egg hunt. Last year we did a neighbourhood one. Who knows what will happen this year. Luella will want to eat all the chocolate, well moreso the foil covering, I’m sure. Instead I’ll buy her something snuggly and small {or most probably just give her one of the little rabbit toys that she hasn’t seen for a week and she’ll totally think it’s brand new. Huzzah!}.

Enough rambling though. I’m loving these non-chocolately Easter goodies, and thought you might too.

Does anyone fancy coming over for a cuppa tea and painting a gaggle of number 6 with me? I’ve got the gold paint, you bring the bikkies.

What do you do at Easter time? Eat chocolate? Gather with friends?

  1. Eek I looooove chocolate!!! The girls will get a combination of Easter eggs, maybe a book or pj’s and some slippers….it all adds up so quickly! We always do an Easter egg hunt too….even the older girls still love it! This week will be Easter crafts & baking!! Have fun painting the eggs 🙂

  2. Yes! I’ll bring the bikkies, for sure! Enjoying the school holidays and crafting up a storm here this week…had a glorious coffee in kingscliff this morning, and about to make egg_heads with Miss 6.

  3. Chantelle, I just ordered those wooden eggs as well as the nesting eggs from BLANK to paint Easter Eve for the girls. Thought I would leave a couple unpainted and include a paint brush in the easter basket (by me, I mean the Easter Bunny!) x
