Try this fun twist on the classic chocolate spiders recipe—made into a simple no-bake bark with just 3 ingredients! Crunchy, chocolatey and kid-approved.

This recipe is a fun twist on an Aussie classic—chocolate spiders, but turned into a bark-style slice that’s perfect for sharing (or sneaking straight from the fridge). It’s rich, crunchy, a little salty, and dangerously easy to make. With just three ingredients and zero baking required, it’s the kind of recipe you can throw together in minutes—and it’s always a hit with both kids and grown-ups.
Perfect for lunchbox treats, bake sales, or a quick afternoon pick-me-up, this bark is nostalgic, delicious and a tiny bit addictive.

How to make chocolate spiders bark

- Melt the chocolate
Break the chocolate into pieces and place into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring between each one. It should only take 1–1.5 minutes to melt completely.
- Add the peanut butter
Spoon the peanut butter into the bowl and microwave for another 30 seconds. Stir well until smooth and combined with the chocolate.
- Mix in the noodles
Tip in the crunchy noodles and stir gently to coat them. Don’t worry if they break a little – that’s normal and adds to the texture!
- Pour and spread
Pour the mixture onto a lined tray or slice tin, and use the back of a spoon to spread it out evenly. You can make it as thick or thin as you like.
- Chill and break
Pop the tray into the fridge for 2 hours or overnight until set. Once firm, break into rough pieces. I like to do a mix of small shards and big chunks—for those serious chocolate spider fans!

Chocolate Spiders (but make it bark!)
Ingredients
360g milk chocolate
4 tbs smooth peanut butter
2 x 100g packets of Changs Crunchy Noodles
Instructions
- Place the chocolate into a microwave-safe bowl, and melt in 30 second bursts, stirring after each burst. It should only take 1 minute in total, maybe 1.5 minutes.
- Spoon in the peanut butter, and melt in the microwave for another 30 seconds. Stir to combine.
- Add in the crunchy noodles, and stir gently. They will break (you’ll hear and feel them crack), don’t stress too much.
- Onto a lined tray or slice tin, pour the mixture and then use the back of a spoon to spread out to your desired thickness.
- Place into the fridge to set for 2 hours or overnight. Once set, break roughly into pieces. I like to do some small, and some more generous… for those that really like chocolate spiders!
