BLOGversation: What’s your blog dream?

I’m a dreamer. I have my head in the clouds a lot. My mind never rests. But for me dreaming is different to goal-making. I dream rather than set goals… I let my mind wander and wander, where ever it may go. At first my blog dream was to be able to work from home and care for Lacey, and then it came true.

For me I want to constantly be challenged, to feel like I’m achieving stuff, to connect with people all over the world, to make up crazy stuff and make it happen and to feel satisfied creatively.

When it comes to blogging, what’s your dream? What do you hope for? It can be as vague or specific as you like.

  1. To blog more. To blog interesting things. Do I need a focus for that? An possibly make som extra money doing it.

  2. My dream blog would be a memoir of my interesting life, filled with time to be with my kids (so I wouldn’t working full time!), creative projects and beautiful photos.

  3. My dream is that sometime in the next few years I will be able to work from home, share teaching ideas and yummy recipes with my new blogging friends and hopefully be lucky enough to have some little babies cruising along with me too!

  4. I’m a bit of a dreamer too. When it comes to dreams for my blog, I just hope that readers find the content funny and maybe even laugh out loud when they read it x

  5. I’m a newbie in the blogging world. Been reading them for ages but now only just started writing one. My dream is that my blog is a small, quiet space in a otherwise busy crowded cyber world. I am blogging about ‘living, loving, laughing while supporting someone with war related PTSD and depression’. I am the wife of a veteran suffering from PTSD and major depression having returned from Afghanistan and I want to connect with others who are in a similar situation. We have much to share and the support gained from those who understand can never be underestimated. We are a rare breed and the nature of what we deal with is incredibly sad and difficult but we are in the community and there will be more of us as the rest of the troops return home soon.

I would love to be able to help others through a very tough, confusing and isolating time having walked the path myself.

  6. My blog dreams that when it grows up, it’s as awesome as your blog Chantelle 😀

All kidding aside, my dreams for my blog? At the moment I just want to be able to come up with stuff to write about and not rely so much on memes. =(

  7. Sometimes I think I just want to blog for myself – to create a record that I can look back on and share with my kid when she gets older. Other times, I think about scratching all the personal stuff, picking a theme that’s close to my heart and trying to make my blog into something that more people might read… but then I’m pulled to just continue documenting life. So for now, my blog is for me more than others, but maybe one day…

  8. My blog dream is the same as yours Chantelle – to make money from it while staying home to look after my little girl. I want to keep enjoying it if I start making money from it though… that’s important to me, to keep the passion. It doesn’t have to be a huge income, just some pocket money is fine! 😉

  9. Quite the same, I want to have much time to work on my blog and earn my life with. But not only in that way, my everlasting dream is to be able to open a “healthy center” with yoga, pilates and dance curses, and sweet medecine specialist like reflexologist and acupuctunre.

Or at last, become a country singer in Las Vegas…

  10. I think my dream is to make and sustain greater connections. I’ve been blogging for a long time, and one point, when I was really focused on my teaching and those resources, I had a large readership. since then I’ve moved away from teaching (and blogging…life got hectic, and it fell by the wayside).

So. I’d like to build a readership beyond my sweet mother and mother-in-law. And maybe make a little money off it at some point down the line…give the family a little cushion when things are rough.

  11. I started my blog because I moved from England to Canada and it was a way to reach over to my friends and family and share a little bit of me. It has since changed direction toward my love of food but its still sharing that little bit of me with them. My dream is that I inspire other to love cooking with my blog. Cooking makes me happy so I hope I can inspire that in others.

  12. My dream is to have my blog pay my way through nursing school so I don’t have to have another job. I’ve started a blog, and I have been a follower of yours for a long time. I just want to blog about my life and have it be interesting enough for people to say hey, she’s funny. I have no idea how one starts to make money off their blog though. I want to draw people in, and create a community of friends and support.

  13. Three levels to my dream. To always stay true to myself as I started my blog as a way of record keeping. Second level to share in this blogging community. Third level yes there is the financial part, as it would be amazing to make money out of something I enjoy doing.

  14. Ooh dreaming… I try not to let my mind wander too often… but if I really let myself I’d love to be able to blog full-time {even part-time would be nice!}, have regular, devoted readers, be able to inspire others & spend a whole lot more time being creative & making over old furniture 🙂

  15. To change peoples lives, encourage them to believe in themselves and chase their dreams. If i could make at least one person smile than I’m satisfied! To get people to get their creative juices flowing and interact with people from all over the world who are just as passionate about the same things as I am.

  16. My dream is actually starting to blog…. I love reading others and I feel I need/want/would love that creative outlet; to share with others who have similar interests and ideals as myself.

  17. My blog dream was to teach myself about social media (this was back years ago) and to get a job in social media marketing. Tick. Tick. Now my blog is really about friendships, connecting, community and sharing stuff. But of course, I totally expect this to change again soon.

  18. My dream is to make people laugh through my writing (not at my writing…that’d be a bit sad). Laughter is the best medicine, right? I write about tough topics – depression, failure, breaking down, but I’m trying to do it in a way that brings hope and a great big smile. Hey, I’ve made it this far and I’m still smiling 🙂
