So you’re off to Bali? I just wanted to pop in and share a little about how the Bali VISA (and entry requirements) are right now. We’ve just returned from 3 weeks in Bali, and it was bliss… so I’m pretty darn jealous that you’re off on a Bali holiday. How fun!
We visit Bali almost every year, we love it so much, and I have to say that the entry process has improved so much since our last visit. It’s *much* smoother and quicker than before
You have two options when visiting – you can prepare all of your documentation, and make your payments before leaving Australia, or you can do it all at the airport.
We chose to do it before we left. We did it all online, which made it even quicker, and recommend you do the same if you’re visiting.
Bali Entry Requirements: What you need to know before you go
There are four stages for the entry requirements.
Step 1. Entry VISA (e-Visa)
This costs around AUD$50 per person. You should do this around a week before you leave. You can do it on this site.
Step 2. Tourism Levy
This costs around AUD $15 per person. You should do thi around the same time as the Entry VISA. You can do this on this website.
Step 3. Health Declaration
There is no cost for the health declaration. You will show this before you go through to baggage. Do this no more than 3 days before departure. You can do this on this website.
Step 4. Customs Declaration
This is no cost, and you’ll show this one at the final step – at exit – straight after baggage. Do this within 72 hours of travelling. You can do this on this website. (If you want to do this in person, while you wait for your bags to arrive just pop over and use the QR code to complete the documentation).
Great news, if you’re travelling with kids over 6 years of age, they can use the e-Gates for entry – which makes it even faster.
This information on Bali Visa and Entry Requirements is correct as at November 2024.
