I tried the most beautiful spa in Bali – here’s what it was like

Bodyworks Bali

Looking for a dreamy spa experience in Seminyak, Bali? I think I’ve found the one. On my recent trip, I visited Body Works and treated myself to the Self Love package—a two-hour bundle of bliss that included a full-body massage, a facial, and a rose petal bath. Let me tell you: it was magic.

Yes, it’s on the pricier side for Bali (about AUD$110), but for two hours of luxe pampering in one of the most beautiful spaces I’ve ever set foot in? Worth. Every. Cent.

Here’s everything you need to know before you book.

The Self Love package: What’s included?

The package included:

  • A 60-minute full body massage
  • A classic relaxing facial
  • A rose petal bath soak (yes, it’s as romantic and indulgent as it sounds)

Each treatment flowed seamlessly into the next, and I felt like I was floating by the end. I’ve had more results-driven facials before (like an anti-aging one on a previous trip), but this one was all about relaxation – and it was exactly what I needed.

Hot tip: Book before you go

Body Works is popular, and for good reason. If you’re heading to Bali and want to squeeze this into your itinerary (and I think you should), email them ahead of your trip to lock in a booking. You don’t need to pre-pay, they take payment after the treatment, but spots fill fast and walk-ins are rarely available.

You’ll find booking info and service menus on their website. Don’t leave it to chance – I’ve been disappointed before.

What I loved about Body Works

💗 The space itself
The architecture is stunning – from the colourful Moroccan-inspired entrance to the calming treatment rooms. It feels luxurious and special from the moment you step through the door.

💗 The service
Everything ran like a dream. Smooth check-in, friendly staff, and a calm, quiet vibe the whole way through. It’s professional and polished without feeling clinical.

💗 Pretty plus-size friendly
The treatment beds are sturdy and wide (they’re actually concrete!), which made the experience really comfortable.

💗 The treatments
The massage was top-tier, and the facial left my skin glowing. It’s the kind of pampering that makes you feel brand new.

A few things to note

🌀 It’s not the cheapest spa in Bali
You could spend a full day getting massages and body scrubs at smaller spas in Seminyak or Legian for the same price – but you won’t get this level of luxury or atmosphere.

🌀 The robes… yikes
While the space felt inclusive, the robes weren’t plus-size friendly. I had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction and gave my therapist a peek more than either of us expected. 😅

🌀 Some rooms are shared
If you’re expecting a totally private room, this might be a surprise. But honestly? It wasn’t awkward at all. Everyone’s there for the same reason – to relax – and once you settle in, it’s easy to forget you’re not alone.

Final thoughts: Would I go again?

Absolutely. Despite the robe situation and the price tag (which let’s be honest, isn’t really a big deal!), Body Works is still my favourite spa in Bali. It’s beautiful, relaxing, and just feels like a treat from start to finish.

If you’re planning a trip to Bali and want to indulge in something special, I’d pop this one on your must-do list.
