Life is a series of special occasions

I’m writing this post from the comfort of my king bed, in my PJ’s whilst watching Jersey Shore in Italy. It’s 10-something at night. My heart and head are a swirl of emotions and feelings. My body is exhausted.

The parties are still going at BlogHer for the closing night. I can only imagine the fun 3000-odd bloggers are having. I’m spent though. My tank is empty. I’ve hung up my party shoes.

BlogHer was/is amazing. I love being around people that blog, because they’re my kinda people. People that are willing to bare their souls and share their stories. Everyone has a story, layers upon layers of stories that you’d probably discover, if only you’d read back through the archives.

I’ve been in awe of some of the bloggers I’ve ever admired have walked on by, taking my breathe away. It’s very real to see people that I’ve read, and cried over online right in front of me. To say hello to them even. Speechless.

I have so much to share still. Fun stuff. Serious stuff. But tonight, I’m resting my wearing body and taking a night away from it all. {Although I just left a function, had dinner and walked home with Sarah – so it’s hardly a quiet night, but in comparison to the others it is!}.

I hope you’re having a great weekend. xx

  1. It must be amazing meeeting people who you feel you know because of their blogs. I'd be soooooooo excited. I can't wait to hear about all your adventures. X

  2. Aah yes, it looks like it's been a hoot, but nothing like some quiet space for the introverts, hey?

Rest up, and enjoy travelling home. Imagine how much more grown up your baby will be when you get home.

Aaah, it's so lovely to be with your family again. Makes you remember (not that you've forgotten) why they're number one in your life!

    xx

  3. I think I'd be feeling the same way – it must feel wonderful to be in your bed now after such a big few days. It all sounds amazing and I'm so glad you and Sarah have had a ball. xxx

  4. Hi Chantelle

Oh that feeling of being showered and in your big bed to yourself and looking forward to the “inside of your eyelids”….. Sleep.

Looking forward to your stories when you can

    (waiting back home in Australia)

  5. I think this whole adventure is just SO exciting. I'm hanging on yours and Sarah's posts, because I find them inspiring. It's so cool to think of you enjoying all these fabulous events, as a result of your lovely blogs. Enjoy that down time, such a sensible move Chantelle :o) xo

  6. I can't wait to hear (and see pics) all about it. Have been thinking HEAPS about all 6 (that I know) Aussie girls over at BlogHer.

I don't know if this is odd, as it's not strictly about your blog. But I want to thank you for the link to Kellie. I've never been there before. I read Nella's birth story last night, and wept, happy and sad tears, all together. I stayed up til 2am reading her blog.

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful woman.
