Win an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Camera

Brought to you by the Olympus OM-D E-M10.omdem10

I’m feeling a little bit like Santa at the moment, because this is the third camera I will have been able to giveaway this year. Two cameras have made their way to loving new owners, and now this one could be yours.

I want you to win this camera. I get so excited picking the winners of the cameras because I know they’re about to fall madly and deeply in love with it. If my house was on fire I would grab it first. I mean the girls, I’d grab the girls, AND then the camera. Hubby would get woken up after that.

For the past two giveaways I’ve done photo competitions, which are super fun and my favourite way to give anything away… but I know not everyone is talented so this one I’m making easy. All you have to do is leave your name and email, and your done. Nothing more. Nothing less. It’s THAT easy.

But first, I want to tell you the one reason why you need to win this camera.

It’s so freaking easy to use. You don’t need a degree to use it. I couldn’t honestly hand it to my mum, give her 5 seconds of instructions and she could take a good photo.

In fact, I once gave it to Hubby {who, bless him, isn’t the most brilliant photographer in the world} and asked him to take a photo of the water dragon. Yes, I was scared of it and didn’t want to get close to it, what about it? I gave him five seconds of instructions, “Just press the screen where the dragon’s face is” and hey presto, he took this photo…

one-shot-wonder

But that’s not why I want you to win it, this is.

I don’t know if any other cameras on the market {other than Olympus} have this feature… but it’s the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. The camera has it’s own in-built Wi-Fi.

All you have to do is connect to it on your phone, grab any photos you want to use, and then you can upload them to Facebook or Instagram. It’s so easy.

The other week we went bush, and I took photos of this horse I found on the side of the road. I snapped a few photos and uploaded one to Instagram. Awesome.

There’s about a gazillion other reasons I want you to win the OM-D E-M10. I want you to win it because it’s light and unlike other big, bulky cameras you WILL use it, you WILL put it in your bag {and sometimes not even know it’s there} and you will be glad you have it. I want you to win it because you’ll have good quality photos to keep forever. Yes, phone cameras are good now, but nothing beats the quality of a good camera. And I want you to win this camera because, just look at it, that baby is seeeeexy. So retro and cool. If cameras were people, this one would be a hipster living in Bondi drinking chai lattes.

Want to win it? Just drop your name and email below and you’re done. It’s THAT easy.

The prize is: 1 Olympus OM-D E-M10 valued at $999 with a Single Lens Kit w/14-42 EZ.

  1. Do you know I saw this post in my and had fleeting thought that I’m not creative enough as a photographer to enter and almost didn’t open it. Glad I did. But how on you going to choose a winner?

  2. Hi Chantelle, many thanks once again for sharing and the giveaway. I hope you are feeling much better now, after such a wonderfully sincere, and honest past post. Sorry to comment here, but at the time I was crying as I read it, and could feel your anguish through your words. So often I am thrilled to be in this world, right here, right now, but moments like those, when people feel they have the right to tear you down, just make my heart so so sad. Constructive criticism great, destructive hurtful words, wrong…big time!! I just wonder if the shoe was on the other foot, how they would react? Actually I ended up feeling sorry for them, that their lives must be so empty that they have the time to write hateful messages to others. You are amazing, what you do is amazing, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! You go girl!!!

  3. After our lovely lunch and much dropping of hints to hubby, we bought this camera and it’s all kinds of amazing! We love it for so many reasons but the wifi is one of my favourite features, it’s so handy especially when you’re travelling. And it’s so easy to operate, even I can use it! Good luck y’all!

    • Sammie – I’m so glad you love it and I loved all your travel pics! I’m getting one tomorrow! Muchly excited – the wifi is the main thing I think – taking pics makes me ridiculously happy but any that get taken on a camera other than my phone, just sit there, being random collections of dots and dashes or 0’s and 1’s or however digital data is stored – I’m just sooooo tech. I’m surprised I can turn my computer on really!!!

  4. Chantelle I would love to win this camera! Btw I love reading your blog, recently started to read all the archives;) such a nice stories, just life you know! That’s what I love about it!

  5. Ohhhhh…. please random draw, be nice to me. I’ve seen this camera in action and it is AHHHHHHMAAAAZING! Yep, long and drawn out and slightly shouty with enthusiasm there, I know. But it is, it truly is. 😀

  6. I’ve had such bad luck with cameras lately, this looks like it takes the photos I imagine that I’d take but never seem to!

  7. Oh I don’t need any convincing about how much I would love this camera, I wish I had played more with them at ProBlogger! I adore my DSLR and its insane lens but I’m really missing a smaller quality point and shoot to throw in a bag and go. Fingers crossed!

  8. Thank you Chantelle for another opportunity to win one of these beauties! I have been eyeing it off/dreaming of buying one since you first posted about it on your blog!

  9. Yay!!! thanks for including us non skilled people. Id love the convenience of the wi fi. What a great idea!!! Maybe it will help my photography skills improve too :/

  10. So excited to have another chance to win this camera! The WIFI sounds awesome and will definitely make it easier for me the share pics with bub’s great grande maman in France!

  11. I would love to win this camera, i have been after something like this for ages to help improve my photos. Fingers crossed!

  12. I am a 33 yr old Mum of four beautiful babies, and after losing a partner in an accident and then having breast and skin cancer last year, as well as a few other bad lucks, I truly know the importance of creating and saving memories and despite working hard I could never afford that beautiful camera, fingers crossed xo

  13. Hi fatmumslim!!

Long time follower and lover of your blog here! I would love to win the Olympus so I can capture beautiful memories of my two beautiful little girls and creative pieces for the charity I support wholeheartedly….Stillbirth Australia! So parents that have lost children, like I have, can have beautiful tributes of and for their children. I’ve supported them since losing my boy at 40 weeks 3 days (during labor), a week before Christmas 2008. After that I found the beauty of photography and my love of the little wonders in the world. xxxx

  14. It should be called the Olympus OM-G!!!. What great photos this beauty can take. I have a fresh little man of 2 weeks of age I’d love to capture priceless memories for with this AMAZING prize! Thanks for the opportunity. Good luck to everyone!

  15. My husband is a great photographer and I am basically ‘useless’ – if I win I will be able to prove to him that I can take a good photo after all !

  16. I would love to win this camera. I am still using my parents camera that we borrowed for our O/S trip earlier this year. With bub due in Feb I would love nothing more than to have our own camera to use to snap all those first precious moments

  17. I just got told I need to save $3000 for my urgent wisdom teeth surgery. I wish I could afford one of these. Would be amazing if I actually won it hahaha

  18. Love your posts & little moment app! you have inspired me to learn more about photography and share a love that my teenage boys have also.

  19. I’d love a camera period. I have two children and would love to take their picture on something other than my phone.

  20. I’ve been admiring this camera since your first giveaway. Congratulations to the winners who have the opportunity to capture precious momentous memories

  21. I’m following my dream and making the leap from Facebook writer to blog GAH I know right! I’m freakin bursting at the seams as my page is being built. Hubby bought me some lenses for my iPhone (very cool and uber supportive of him) but a grown up camera is what I’m dreaming of 🙂

  22. Ooo, I’m trembling in anticipation. My camera is so big I need a truck to take it with me! My phone is so old it needs to be cranked to work. This camera looks like the bomb! Something to work for! Thanks for sharing Chantelle.

  23. You’re better than Santa! Cos you’re giving away camera’s left and right and it isn’t even Christmas! Thanks Chantelle & Olympus….I’ve had a taste of what this camera can do and it really is worth the hype!

  24. I would absolutely love to win this camera! My old camera died over a year ago & I just can’t afford to buy a new one. I really miss capturing all of our family memories in such a beautiful way x

  25. I read through the comments and they’re are so many worthy people so thank you Chantelle for such an easy to enter and generous giveaway! I like many people would love to win it to help record memories for my little boys.

  26. I’m going overseas indefinitely next year and a new camera is one of those things I’m starting to wonder whether I can afford before I go. This would be amazing.

  27. Oh, see, I’d LOVE to win this camera. I’ve been playing with one on loan for the last month or so and its a great little piece of equipment. But I’d like to win it for my sister, actually. She was really ill last year after being diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer, and she’s in remission now and looking to get back into some of the hobbies that used to make her so happy. Photography used to be one of those things, but she doesn’t have a good camera any more (or money to buy one). This would be an amazing gift for her.

  28. Oh that wifi thing is so cool! I was just trying to figure out how on earth to get a photo from my camera/pc to my phone and because I don’t use icloud it was next to impossible!! I NEED that feature!

  29. So exciting! I’ve been lusting after this camera for a long while now. I’m seriously considering ditching my Nikon DSLR due to size and clunkiness. I noticed that I’ve been using my smartphone to take the majority of my pictures, but I’m constantly compromising quality resolution. I really need an alternative and I love the size of the Olympus. Leaving in December for a month’s sojourn through Vietnam, so if I won this, the timing would be perfect!

  30. Omg! Awesome prize maybe I might actually have a chance to take photographer worthy pictures with this camera. Good luck to all but hopefully fingers crossed my name comes up to win.

  31. Oh how it sucks to be in South Africa right now. Good luck to all, may the winner have many hours of photographic joy!

  32. Olympus, always my favourite camera brand. My E-30 is still kicking and taking awesome shots. Hope to be the lucky winner but if not, I’ll just have to have camera envy for the winner.

  33. My current camera is an Olympus Digital [mju] 800 that my father gave to me when he retired and decided that he didn’t want to travel anymore. It’s a beautiful camera to use and I love the Olympus brand, but I seem to use my phone for photography more often than not simply because I always have my phone on me. This seems like a really fantastic camera and you’re always raving about it, so I put my name in the draw. It seems like a great opportunity to return to proper camera love (and put all of Rowe’s great tips and advance to practice!). I wish everyone the best of luck and thank you Chantelle for the competition xx

  34. the ultimate gift – the gift of creativity. This camera will make someone a better photographer.. Please let it be me. Bec

  35. Hubby dropped our 7 year old Dslr on the road a couple of weeks ago and it smashed into lots of pieces (well the lens did)… So instead of just wishing for an upgrade, now I really need one! The Em-10 looks amazing and hopefully with its tiny body we won’t have any more accidents!

  36. I have loved my Nikon D80. The size is perfect for my hand. We have been together for almost eight years. She has never failed me in all of that time. Until last week. At a time when I most wanted my camera, it suddenly stopped working. I was about to start photographing the birth of my grandchild. I got upset and frustrated and then took a deep breath. Lucky my partner borrowed a camera for me and bought it up to the hospital.
I need to win this camera as a week, eight days of my grandson’s life has passed and I am unable to take photos of him.

  37. I would love to win this camera and give it to my husband to use so I can be in the picture sometimes! Especially if its as easy to use as you say, ha ha.

  38. Such a fantatic competition, thank you:), so perfect for me to capture all those pictures when you wished you had a camera and by the time you get one, you missed that amazing shot. I would take it everywhere.:)

  39. Oh wow!! I’ve been crushing on this camera ever since I’d seen it cropping up around the traps as bloggers were road testing it as part of voices!
It seems so cute and super functional, and would definitely help increase the quality of my blog pictures, all of which are taken on my iPhone ha ha!

  40. This is awesome. Thanks for the chance to win without having to take a photo – my only camera is my phone so if I don’t win I’m saving, saving, saving to get one of these.

  41. Its amazing to be given the opportunity to possibly win an amazing piece of kit. I’d love to win as I would then give this camera as a gift to a talented young photographer who doesn’t have their own camera

  42. Would love to win this camera, I dropped mine in the loo, and it wont work now, we have a family function coming up before Christmas, would love to take some Family photos.

  43. Took a couple of sexy shots for my man and he was thrilled!!! I’d prefer a camera the kids don’t leave finger smudges on the lens of though were his words.

  44. I’d love a camera period. I have two children and would love to take their picture on something other than my phone.

  45. hello, i am a 13 year old blogger and photographer ! i love to take photos but i don’t have my own camera. i would love to win this camera ! thank you x

  46. wow. did not know it was so beautiful. the reason i want to win it is not because it is amazing. but it is. and it is cool. well. i had a camera but it got broken. a hundai dc-8367 camera. it is not even a camera. 🙂 yet i could take photos with it. and now i can not buy a new one. i am not even from that continent but i still wanted to use my chance. maybe admin could do something new for rules.

  47. Hello i want to win the camera for my hubby for xmas,he aint well and needs something to cheer him up that will keep him occupied and i know he love taking pictures with his old camera but i think its time for an upgrade x

  48. I would love this camera because I am a home sewer who loves to photograph my completed garments to post on sewing sites but alas my phone camera is just not cutting it in the sewing community

  49. I need a camera to teach my children how to say cheese and smile again in front of the camera. They have mastered the pouts and selfies but forgotten how to smile and its been so long since we’ve had a family photo.

  50. Ohhhhh…. please random draw, be nice to me. I’ve seen this camera in action and it is AHHHHHHMAAAAZING! Yep, long and drawn out and slightly shouty with enthusiasm there, I know. But it is, it truly is. 😀

  51. My name Is Liliana. I have supplied my email on the form.
I’d like to win this camera as I heard it has some cool applications (smart camera) and your writing about this camera made me imagining the camera strolling on the walkway between Bondi to Bronte while snapping some art on Bondi Beach on Sculpture on the Beach exhibition, an place where Princess Mary dating her ex-boyfriend (now is a Prince of Denmark and her husband) for the 1st time. Who know? Maybe the camera know where is my future husband, posing between these sculptures….

  52. looks like a wonderful camera – the images you took with it are amazingly clear & vivid ! Fingers crossed 🙂

    • Ooh it posted without my comment!!
Having just borrowed a lovely camera from a fabulous friend so that I can take some pics at a wedding tomorrow, it would be wonderful to win my own!!!

  53. Oh I would LOVE a proper camera camera to learn proper photography and to see if I can be creative! And with WiFi I’d be able to upload direct to IG 🙂

  54. This post just won the internet for me today! Would love to try this camera out and make some beautiful pictures…!

  55. I bought a cheap camera assuming my talent would make the pictures good but apparently it doesn’t work like that!

  56. What gorgeous photos! I have had Olympus cameras in the past and they take such amazing photos and the colour is always excellent. I’m in the market for a new camera now and with my birthday approaching, I now have this one on my ‘wish list’! Thanks for helping me make the decision!!
