What to send in your Happy Mail {where to shop!}

What to send in your Happy Mail {where to shop!}

I am so excited about this Happy Mail Project. Thanks to everyone that joined in. If you missed out, I’ll be opening up another intake next month, so stay tuned. And a children’s penpal exchange soon too! It’s going to be fun.

I’ve been asked a lot about what to include in the happy mail package. Honestly, ANYTHING IS FINE. You can send a letter, a little note, a few notes, a card, whatever. I promised I’d put together a post about things that you could include, to give you all some ideas. So here it is!

Personally, I’m a stationery-freak, so I’ve been collecting bits and pieces for years. I have a box {not huge, but not small either} that I keep things in for ‘one day’. It has stickers, little cards, notes, inspiration, and bits and bobs, so I take from that to include in my happy mail packs.

In your note you could write about the following things:

? Who you are! Introduce yourself. Like, “My name is Chantelle. I’m a blogger, a mum, a wife, and a creative-type.

? Share your likes! I always like to share 4 things I like and one thing I don’t. So, “I like taking photos of clouds, cake, singing in the car, walking on the beach, and I don’t like bad drivers, not one bit!”

? Write a list of 20 odd things that people might find interesting. What about that one time when you were a kid you won that award? Talk about that.

? Talk about where you live and where you grew up.

? Share your bucket list. Where do you want to go? What to do want to do?

? Answer 20 random questions, and send them on a blank sheet so they can do the same. Here’s 20 random questions to get you started:

1. What’s your favorite way to waste time?
2. Do you have any pets? What are their names?
3. Where did you go last weekend? What did you do?
4. What’s your favorite number? Why?
5. Who in your life brings you the most joy?
6. What do you bring with you everywhere you go?
7. What is your guilty pleasure?
8. What’s the best show currently on TV?
9. What’s your favorite food?
10. What’s the best decision you ever made?
11. Would you ever sky dive or bungee jump?
12. What’s your middle name?
13. Tell me about something you’ve achieved?
14. What’s your favourite saying?
15. If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy today?
16. What is one thing you’d most like to change about the world?
17. What skill do you want to learn more?
18. What’s your favourite season? Why?
19. What’s the best book you’ve read? Why?
20. What’s the last lie you told?

Here’s where I suggest shopping:

Kikki.K. / I love this shop. New ranges come out all the time so I check in often. They do great stickers, cards, paper and more. Look at these goodies!

Dollar Shops / You know little bargain shops that you can find in any town? You can find such cute, affordable stationery bits and bobs there. Collect each time you go in, if you dare!

Blank Goods / Oh I love this online store. Cute stickers and bags and goodies. Dani, also does a subscription box {Goodie Box} now so you can get goodies delivered regularly.

Paint Cards / British Paints does beautiful square paint cards that you can grab for free at Bunnings. I love to write inspirational quotes on them, or little notes.

Knot & Bow / This Etsy store does beautiful stationery bits.

Newsagents / Check out the card section at the newsagents. I love the smaller, funky cards that you can find there. I always crack up reading the cards. It’s what I do! Also, grab a local postcard of your area to send. That would be cool!

Sweet Sunday Gifts / Sweet Korean stationery goodies!

Violet LeBeaux / Hand-drawn stickers. So amazing.

I’ll keep updating this post as I find new goodies, and feel free to add your ideas into the comments too. xx
