To Frock, Or Not To Frock.

All these posts about dresses. Over them?

I love dresses for Summer, oh and Spring too. Autumn (Fall) is also good for dresses. In fact I even wear them all through Winter. Anytime is good for a dress.

I am loving this dress at the moment. I actually wanted to buy it a few months back and thought I might wear it to the Christening. I decided a white dress was a bit cheesy though, so didn’t get it.

It is $150, which is on the exxy side, especially when I don’t plan on being this size for too long. I could wear it when it’s too big though. I don’t think that will be a problem.

Last Sunday I was browsing the website and deciding whether to get it or not. I left it and thought it could be my first purchase for 2009. I could wait a little bit longer for it. That afternoon I was reading a new blog that I have discovered, Frocks & Frou Frou. Lillipilli shares her most excellent fashion style with her readers. Some of her clothes are from plus-size outlets. It happened that on Sunday she blogged about the exact dress above.

Sometimes I think you have to listen to the Universe and what it’s trying to tell you. It sends out little whispers and I felt like this was one of them. It was whispering… buy the dress, buy the dress.

Do you think I should listen? Should I buy the dress? xx

  1. Hell no!!

$150 for something you will grow out of.

Use the $150 to buy your gorgeous wonderful caring husband something nice.

  2. Ambivalent. The dress is fabulous! But, if you really do lose weight fast it may be a bit much. It all depends on how much money you have. If you have some to spare, then get it!
    Good luck with that decision!

  3. I say no, leave it and see if it is on sale after christmas. otherwise i would leave it if you won’t fit into it for long. i think it would look great on you though.

  4. Telle I just bought an exxy dress to wear on Christmas Day.
I keep telling myself all my fat clothes will hopefully get used as maternity wear one day…

  5. I think you could wear it later on with a fabulous obi sash belt to cinch it in….but $150 is quite a lot of money for a dress, so, uncomfortable as it is I’m going to sit on the fence!!

    p.s. lol @ your hubby!

  6. Simone – Yeah. That’s a good idea. I always stress that shops might sell out. I guess if it’s not there, or not on sale, it’s not meant to be.

Dorsey – It does look comfy, doesn’t it? I love that I would be able to get away with no bare legs!

Kir – What dress did you get? Will you share it on your blog?

Mummabee – Is it comfortable there on the fence? 😛
