Shut Eye.

I can’t sleep.

It’s so not like me. I know I’m exhausted and still very much sleep deprived, but I can’t for the life of me fall asleep.

Lacey has already woken twice since we put her down. I have my PJ’s on. I’m in bed. I tried sleeping. Hubby has passed out. I’m awake.

I can’t stand failing to sleep so have jumped on here. I hope I get sleepy soon otherwise I’ll feel it tomorrow.

I have a million thoughts going through my head. I have eleventy billion things on my to do list. I’m excited that Santa is coming soon. School holidays have started and the days have been very, very busy. There is also lots of socialising to be done too. It’s hard jamming it all in.

One of the malls/shopping centres near us has real (rein)deer for the kids to feed. It’s so sweet. All the reindeer are orphaned so this sweet couple who dress like Mr and Mrs Claus in their red overalls love and care for them. The other day they had a 6 day old little reindeer with them. It was so small and so lovely.

I took photos on my phone and tried to upload them last night. I realised that my new laptop doesn’t have blue tooth. How last century is that? I’m not impressed! Now I am going to have to buy a dooby-whacker to put in my USB port, and well that is just going to look messy. It won’t do at all. (Well actually it will have to do, what else can I do?)

Well it’s waaaaaaay past my bedtime. I might give this sleep thing another whirl.

Goodnight. Sleep tight. Bed bugs and all that jazz. xx

  1. how nice to see live reindeers. I haven’t even seen real ones here in cold wintery england. we did see some fake ones standing up which oliver was calling dogs. then we saw another pretend one but he was asleep and breathing…. that one was a cat!!!

    He was so excited.

  2. what a cute story about the Mr. & Mrs. Claus and their reindeer! How wonderful for the kids to see that up close instead of just in movies or books. I hope you got some sleep.

Carlos was on my blog yesterday and was clicking through the people who leave me comments. He clicked on your page and said “Oh, I like Chantelle – she is cool” hehe….too funny!

Sending healthy wishes your way today!

  3. Awww, now I’m all jealous about missing the live deers! The little dude calls them goats – he keeps seeing “Christmas goats” everywhere and getting very excited. Just wait until he realises they bring presents…
