Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa Phuket review: peaceful hillside resort with stunning views

This is my honest review of The Westin Phuket Siray Bay, sharing what our stay was really like, from the rooms and pools to the food, location and whether it’s worth booking.

The Westin Phuket Siray Bay

Our first proper stop in Phuket was one of those places that instantly made the trip feel real.

After the airport, the heat, the excitement and the “are we really in Thailand?” feeling, we arrived at The Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa, Phuket, and everything slowed down in the best way. The resort sits up on a hill overlooking the water, and as you wind your way up, the views start opening up and you can feel that shift from travel mode into holiday mode.

It was quiet, coastal and calm, and felt like a little pocket of peace away from the busier parts of Phuket.

This review is based on our own stay and is written for anyone planning a trip to Phuket and wondering if this hotel is worth booking. I’ll share what stood out, what to know before you go, who it’s best for and whether I’d stay here again.

This stay was kindly hosted for editorial consideration, but all thoughts are genuinely my own.

The Westin Phuket Siray Bay

Where is The Westin Phuket Siray Bay located?

The resort is located on Siray Bay, just outside of Phuket Town.

In real terms:

  • Around 15 minutes from Old Phuket Town
  • About 30 minutes from Patong
  • Set in a much quieter, coastal area

It feels removed and peaceful, without being inconveniently far from things.

This location is great if you want:

  • A calm place to come back to after exploring
  • Easy access to Phuket Town
  • A resort-style stay without total isolation

Less ideal if you want nightlife or busy streets right outside your door.

First impressions

The resort is built into the hillside, which gives it incredible views over the water.

Check-in was easy and welcoming, and although the property is spread out across different levels, there are buggies running all day to take you wherever you need to go. After about five minutes, it becomes second nature and actually quite fun hopping on and off.

The overall vibe felt relaxed, spacious and resort-like without feeling overwhelming.

Our room

We stayed in a direct pool access room, which I loved (I’m clearly a pool access girl now).

The room was:

  • Comfortable and spacious
  • Great air conditioning
  • Easy access to the pool whenever we wanted

If I’m being completely honest, the rooms are a little dated and could definitely do with a refresh. That said, they were still clean, comfortable and totally fine for a holiday stay, and it didn’t take away from our experience at all.

It felt comfortable for two people and would work well for couples or small families.

Room start from around $203 a night, depending on season and room type. You can check availability here.

Pools, beach & facilities

There are four pools across the resort, each with slightly different vibes, which meant it never felt crowded.

Because the resort is spread out, you can always find a quieter spot or a livelier pool depending on your mood.

The beach is right there, the views are beautiful, and everything feels very open and spacious.

Between the pools, lounges, restaurants and outdoor spaces, there’s plenty to do without ever needing to leave.

Food & dining

There are five restaurants on site, and I managed to try all but one during our stay.

The variety was great, and it was nice having different options without feeling like you were eating the same thing every night.

While we were there, the resort was hosting a huge multi-day wedding. Most of the celebrations were happening in other parts of the property, which actually worked in our favour because our end of the resort felt even quieter and more relaxed.

It was one of those happy accidents that made the stay feel extra peaceful.

  • The hillside setting and water views
