Thank you + March photo a day starts tomorrow!

February was an amazing month. I’ve had so many beautiful emails and messages sharing how the challenge has made people think creatively and take time out each day to enjoy the little things. Thank you to everyone who took part. You can see all of the photos here.

Highlights for me included:

♥ Seeing over 850,000 photos shared. Majorly exciting!
♥ Having 18 of my 29 photos appear on the popular page of Instagram! Mind-blowing!
♥ All the beautiful emails I received. Thank you!
♥ Finding out that celebs like Dannii Minogue, Eamon Sullivan, Billy from Masterchef & others were playing along. I die!
♥ Mashable named my February list twit pic of the week. See it here.

Thank you again to everyone who joined in the fun! And now on to March.

Here’s the March list.

Here’s how to play:

♥ Starting on March 1st take a photo each day with inspiration from the prompt. For example prompt 1 is ‘up’, so take a photo looking up. Or of the word ‘up’. Or something that lifts your mood ‘up’. It it totally up to you how you want to interpret it.

♥ Once you’ve taken your photo you can share it on Instagram, Facebook {on your own profile or business page}, Twitter, Flickr, your blog, Pinterest, Tumblr or even just keep them in a folder on your desktop. If you’re sharing on Twitter or Instagram add the hashtag #Marchphotoaday so others can find your photos too.

Note: For day 20 you’ll see that it says ‘before / after’. Again, you can interpret this however you like. I thought it would be cool for people to use an app like picframe to show two photos in one. It could be a meal before eating and the plate after. It could be anything! If you don’t have any iPhone or don’t want to buy an app – just use your imagination and either take two photos or work it into just one.

If you have a blog or a Facebook or a Tumblr or Pinterest – share the link to your photos below:

Here’s to an exciting month of photo sharing! xx

  1. #janphotoaday AND #febphotoaday were so much fun! Before I go to bed, or in the morning, I look at my assignment for the day and I keep my eyes peeled.

The project has helped me see things I wouldn't have otherwise. And as a graphic designer it's kept me inspired.

THANK YOU! Can't wait for March!

  2. Thankyou ! I only missed a couple of days in Feb, and oddly, NOT the days that I was at sea with no internet access !
So cool to see all the great and creative ways that people interpret your chalenge.
Thanks for February and here's to a great March.

Honestly, I don't care about those, because I've been doing yours since January, and I absolutely love it! Besides, I wonder if those people who copied yours do it themselves.

  7. I have a teeny question. Should I add the link to my blog or the posts that has my photos for the challenge?

    Thanks
Rukmini (This challenge is happening from India)

  8. Chantelle – I love this concept! I love how taking a quick photo using a prompt makes me take more notice of the world around me, and pay attention to the little details. Thank you 🙂

  9. I started February's but failed to complete! I am so doing it this month but may publish a few at a time instead of daily. Bring on the iPhone then I can contribute easily! Jules x

  10. All this time, I've seen friends participate in the photo a day challenges through Instagram. I didn't realize it would be “acceptable” to do it on my blog! How exciting! I will be participating in March, no doubt. Also, found you via Eden at Edenland. 🙂

  11. I've just been made aware of this lovely daily challenge. 🙂 I hope it's not too late to join in. I'll start tomorrow with four images and a link to my blog; now I need some shut-eye.

  12. Phew! Finally I made some time to edit and post my piccies!
Loving being able to see everyone else's interesting lives.
