There’s no question, my girls have been lucky enough to visit lots of different places, and stay at some pretty beautiful resorts and accomodations. So when they declared this one their favourite, I was pleasantly surprised. I could tell that they were happy, but when they were begging to visit again when we hadn’t even left, I knew it was love.
The resort? The Grand Mirage Resort, Nusa Dua, Bali.
The Grand Mirage Resort is located on the tip of Nusa Dua Beach, an ideal spot for families, with access to the beach directly from the resort, while also have a range of shops, spas and restaurants just outside on the main street.

The room. More importantly, the space to be teens/tweens.
The Grand Mirage Resort is essentially broken up into two parts, the main resort and then Family Paradise. Family Paradise is just as it sounds, a paradise for families. It is slightly smaller and only a short walk from the main resort. It has a family friendly pool, restaurants, family suites, a water slide, playground, as well as the kids club.
The family suites, which we stayed in, has enough room for a parent-style retreat (with own bathroom) and then a kids room with it’s own bathroom, and lounge area too. It was perfect for us, because we like to go to bed earlier and get up early, while our kids like to stay up a little later and sleep in. We could close the door and everyone could get the sleep they needed, without being disturbed by anyone else.

The pools. All of them.
The kids loved the Family Paradise Pool best, because it had a slide and it was where all the kids wanted to hang out together. They also pop over to the main pool, to join in with activities like volleyball and water aerobics. Shane and I loved sneaking out to the Adults Only Infinity Pool, which I still dream about. It overlooks the ocean, and was so lovely and peaceful.

And then, of course, the slide.
Who doesn’t love a water slide? The kids spent forever going up and down, and ’round and ’round this slide into the pool.

The super kid-friendly grounds.
There’s so much to do, there’s no chance of getting board. With playgrounds, and pools, and even a water park.

The food. Oh, the food.
Ok, this was a favourite for me too. We stayed on the Gold All Inclusive Package which meant we could
The teeny, tiny turtles.
As part of their nature commitment policy, Grand Mirage Resort, regularly does a turtle release program, where each family can get one turtle to release out into the wild after hatching. It’s really sweet to see them swimming away into their new life.

Also, the teen games room.
I wanted to spend more time in here, but I was seriously cramping everyone’s style. There are arcade style games, as well as more physical games like air hockey and basketball. There are also lounges to hang out on, and so much more. It’s a teen’s paradise.

The independence, and space to roam.
We’re a pretty tight-knit family, but during this stay at Grand Mirage we hardly saw our kids. They loved their independence, which happened because they felt safe. They’d play ping pong, make new friends, and even take themselves to breakfast and lunch.

The freedom of all-inclusive.
We stayed on the Gold All-Inclusive plan, which meant that all food was included, even room service. So we could all eat and drink, and be merry, where ever we were. It meant that we didn’t have to worry about how much we were spending on food… and we could just enjoy it. And we did!
There’s so much to love about Grand Mirage Resort, Nusa Dua… and not just from the perspective of the kids. Us adults enjoyed it thoroughly too. We spent our days trying to find the kids, swimming in the pool, basking in the sun, and looking forward to dinners (oh the dinners are the best!).
We stayed as guests of Grand Mirage Resort, Nusa Dua. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
