Today I’m sharing some exciting news that I’ve been sitting on for a while {not literally or that bugger would be mighty squashed}.

Last year I was an ambassador for Olympus which meant I got to do some really cool things that involved you guys {lunches up and down the east coast, which were the highlight of my blogging life}. I also gave away cameras and did lots of other cool things.

Well, Olympus has kindly asked if I’d like to play ambassador for another year… and I said yes. And this year we’re upping the cool levels to mind-blowing, and I can’t wait to share everything with you. I kinda just want to blurt out all the plans here, but I should probably do that thing that I’m REALLY bad at and keep them a secret.

Except I’ll tell you this one thing. The first thing we’re going to be doing. It’s called The Fun Kit.

The Fun Kit : Photography fun in a box!

You know photography is my passion. It’s the thing that makes me come alive. Butterflies in the stomach kinda stuff. I’m not a professional photographer or anything fancy, just a girl with a camera who loves to play around and try new things, and encourage you guys to do the same. I love {LOVE} that I’m part of an amazing community of photo-takers {the FMS Photo A Day crew} who stretch and grow, and try new things. So I was chatting to the gang at Olympus about how I could do something more, something tangible that would be really exciting. And I’ve wanted to try this Fun Kit idea for, like, ever. So it’s happening.

Over the course of this year I’ll be making up Fun Kits to send out to people around Australia {and the rest of the world too!}. Inside will be things that you can use to get creative with your photography. And because Olympus are all kinds of awesome and they want us to have fun with our photo-taking, they’re covering the costs. The first one hundred people to put their hand up will be the lucky ones to get the kit. If you miss out, I’ll also share later on how you can make your own. There will always be next time too.

So the contents are a secret for now. The first call out for The Fun Kit will be in the new week or so, so stay tuned.

This is just the beginning, and I’m so freaking excited. Let’s have fun with photography. Thank you to Olympus for making great stuff happen.

My husband bought me an Olympus a few years ago for Christmas as I really wanted to improve my skills and to be honest I haven’t used it much but I’m beginning to get inspired to get better at photography and try and find and bring out my inner creative.       Have to say I love the FMS photo challenge – definitely helps to see photography from a different perspective, and we get to see pics from around the world we wouldn’t normally see!

  119. Sounds awesome Chantelle. I’ve been loving the stuff you’ve done with Olympus, especially getting to come and have lunch with you last year, it was a highlight in a year that certainly needed a lot more highs than it had. Anything that helps me get creative with my photography is a good thing, as I’ve just started my Diploma of Photography and there are so many assignments and things we have to do, not to mention producing our own creative work for our end of year exhibition, so I am looking everywhere for inspiration at the moment!
