Give It Away.

Ready for my teeny news?

I finally have my own domain name. That’s exciting for me. My own website. Hurrah. It’s still hosted by blogger but it’s easier to remember. So if you’re holidaying in a remote island somewhere and can’t get net access (cos’ we’re always holidaying in remote islands, right?) and want to check up on the goings on here. It’s easy.

All you have to type in now is https://fatmumslim.com.au/ Simple!

I do understand that perhaps that isn’t very exciting for everyone else. But for me, it’s BIG!

Anyways… I am having a giveaway every day this week to celebrate. Hoorrrraaay!

My first giveaway is thanks to the beautiful Wynona at Ivy Designs. In the package there is a bookmark, a little mirror, hairband and little hair elastics. You’ll be spoilt. The designs are really special.

To go into the giveaway all you have to do is comment below. I’d love to know more about you. So in the comments put your name, what country you’re from and something interesting about yourself.

It’s THAT easy. You don’t have to be a blogger either.

Go on. Jump in. xx

Just popping in to add: I am loving the responses so far. I forgot to let you know to check in next Monday. I’ll announce all the winners then. 🙂

I’m a good friend of a friend….a stuntwoman who has put motherhood on hold (hopefully for not too much longer) to pursue a career which involves dieting to double skinny arse actresses, jumping off buildings and walking out into oncoming traffic to be hit by cars for a living? Yeah, I know! I love reading your blogs and can’t help but think just how very LUCKY little, gorgeous Lacey is to have you as her mum. I can’t wait to be a mum too. Couldn’t think of anything more special or rewarding. Needless to say I will need to change careers which i’m currently working on xxx

  23. Hello, my name is Kerry and I live in Devon (South West) UK. Something interesting….as well as being a mama and blogger, I also write songs, sing and play the piano, violin, guitar, and harp…not all at once though! Although when my daughter was two, she ran on stage while I was doing a gig and held onto my leg whilst I tried to finish the song!
The domain thing is great too…I’d be just as chuffed!

  24. My name is Mary-Jane. Im from New Zealand. I have just started up my own blog and one day soon want to publish my own patterns for childrens clothes plus I have 3 girls aged 3 and under.

  25. Congrats Chantelle!

It might be something simple, but isn’t it the simplest things in life that often make us the happiest? I had a little shiver of excitement for you just reading your post! Enjoy and have fun, it’s a harmless thing and seriously, you’re providing a wonderful read to so many people! A big THANKS!!

And as for something interesting about me?

I met my boyfriend on a train station when he was on his way to Adelaide and I to Canberra. We’ve been engaged for 2 years but still live in separate cities. Him in Brisbane, me in Sydney. It might not be ideal for some people but it works for us.

  26. Congrats on your domain name Telle!

My name is Kate, I’m from Perth originally but now residing in Melbourne.

I have a little Miss that thinks 1 hour of sleep is all she needs in a day whereas I think otherwise…zzzzz

  29. Congrats Chantelle on your new blog home!

my name is Tina and I am mum to my little mimoo and live in Brisbane. I started my mimoo etsy store when we returned to Brisbane after living in London for almost 10 years. An interesting thing for me is that Wynona at Ivy Designs was my very first customer at mimoo.etsy.com when I was ready to give it all up and just concentrate on motherhood, but she was so sweet and lovely that I decided to pursue further and I am so glad I did, as I love it now. Plus she directed me to your blog which I love to read daily!

  30. Hi Telle,

Well done on your own domain name! I love your blog.

I’m Dee from Wollongong Australia. My little man is now walking by himself! It hasn’t surprised me that he was slow – he’s a little heavier than most (or just big boned!)

    xox

  31. I’ve just moved back to Australia from Kiev, Ukraine. But instead of moving back to Brisbane, where we’re from, or Sydney, where we lived before moving to eastern europe, we’ve moved to Darwin…!! Nothing like an adventure for us to keep our visitors on their toes.

  32. I forgot the ‘interesting’ thing. Hmn. Not much about me is interesting. I did learn Russian while I lived in Ukraine, so I know the name of the cute little dolls in the pictures on this post – they are ‘matryoshka’ dolls. But I still call them babushka dolls (babushka means granny in Russian so fitting, I think).

  33. Hoorah Telle on your new website! I’ll be sure to remember the address next time I’m holidaying on a tropical island 😛

Well I’m Chrissy, and I’m from rural Western Australia. I’m mama to a gorgeous little 8 month old called Oscar, whose laughs and smiles always keep my days bright.

Something interesting about me… spiders don’t scare me in the least, but crickets *shudder*!

  34. Hi! That’s very cool – not at all ‘unexciting news’… love reading your blog.

So… I’m Linda. I’m married to my childhood sweetheart. We’ve been friends for 20 years. We lost touch about 1996, and 10 years later I Googled his name, found a review of a gig he had played a year before (he’s a musician), and was able to track him down through one of his bandmate’s managers. We had dinner one night about a month later, and have been together ever since. The time between meeting up after all those years that wintery night and finally leaving the restaurant is the time it took me to fall in love with him.

Oh. That turned out kind of long. Sorry!

  35. Oh yeah – I’m a step mum – does that count as something interesting? lol Coz I can SURE tell you some interesting stories! 😀

  36. Hello Chantelle! Wonderful news! Congratulations on your new domain name! I have a blog called “georgikids” and I design, make and sell custom childrens clothing. 39. Hmm… My name is Katy from Australia. My interesting fact is that I’m reluctantly turning 30 this year, but am planning a big birthday picnic to celebrate.

  40. I’m Megan from Melbourne and I like to spread my Vegemite on my toast before the margarine. lol.. It’s true. Congrats on the domain. xx

  41. I’m Joanne – originally from Adelaide, South Australia, but currently residing in the Bay of Plenty – New Zealand!
