Day Six.

What a hectic week! It’s just been plain crazy this week. I organised Kid No. 4’s birthday party this week. She turned the ripe old age of six! Oh to be six again. The world is such a great place to be.

I’ve organised parties before but I didn’t remember how much work these parties can be. There were cupcakes, chocolate crackles and fairy bread to be made. Decorations to adorn the house with. Little party bags to make.

I made lots of healthy food too (carrot + celery sticks, sushi, sandwiches) and was pleasantly surprised to see the kids chomping away on those munchies.

It was Kid No. 4’s first ever birthday party and the look on her face as she realised it was all about her was priceless. She’s such a special little princess and deserved all the love and attention everyone had for her.

I organised a fairy to come and entertain the girls. She was brilliant. She was always in character. I overheard one of the little girls ask her: What is it really like in fairy land? So sweet.
Every six weeks I treat myself to a facial. It’s a tad indulgent but my skin has never been better, and I feel I work hard and deserve it. This morning I went off to pamper myself. My beautician, Natasha, is so lovely and after two or so years we’ve become friends and it’s nice to catch up.

I’m grateful for Natasha and the wonderful work she does. I look forward to my appointments and my skin does too. xx

  1. I have always wanted a facial, you sure are lucky. Today I woke up with 9 pimples! This is the most I have ever had (I never ever had pimples as a teenager) so unfair. I’m seriously considering getting a facial now. What do they do? Does it hurt? Is it expensive?

  2. Dorsey – I’m disappointed in you! 😛 Fairy bread is usually plain white bread with butter, dipped in 100’s and 1000’s. I’ve never actually tasted it myself but most kids love it!

Hayley – It costs about $100. It’s amazing. I get about a twenty minute face massage which includes a bit of an earlobe massage. Do you know how amazing that feels? The ouchy bit is when she squeezes any blackheads, but that is over in no time. It lasts for about an hour all up. I say you should treat yourself if you can. xx

  3. Wow on all accounts. The fairy bread looks yummy!

Facials…I’ve never had one, but one of these days I swear I’ll get a spa day where I get to try everything!
