My Christmas wish this year is the have some down time with my family! We have had a crazy year! My husband has had two surgeries on his lower back (second one was because the first wasn’t done properly). He also started a new job. We had our fourth child just 11 weeks ago. My husband couldn’t take much time off because of all the sick leave he took with his health issues. Plus we are moving house 3 days before christmas! What I really want for Christmas this year is some rain! I’m a farmer’s daughter and we are fortunate to have had some recently but I really do hope there is some reprieve for the families who work so hard and whose hearts must break every time they look out the window. My Xmas wish is that hopefully my mother in law sells some paintings in the next two weeks so that she can afford to fly over in January. She lives in Switzerland. My Christmas wish is that all the despite the year our family has had that for those two precious days we are happy. It hasn’t been a fun year, hubby and I have been apart for about six months and while our girls are coping really well I know that they still wonder what is happening. We have been seeing a counsellor and are giving our marriage another try but its tricky, I don’t want to move back in til I know we are on the right track. So for Christmas we are putting everything aside and making sure our girls feel the magic.
After FINALLY welcoming our elusive 3rd child in August after 8 years of trying and 5 more losses, I’m really looking forward to celebrating Christmas finally knowing that our family is complete and we can watch our kids grow without the trauma of trying to have them! It’ll be a low key and quiet one, but just enjoying the five of us will be spectacular.

I’m wishing for the patience to be a good mother, wife and puppy owner. Being a new mum wth no support network around has been tremendously hard and challenging. Plus being an older mum means I have more life habits to break in my new role as a mum. I wish for time with just my hubby to rekindle the loving relationship that seems to have gone AWOL in this fugue caused by lack of sleep. I wish to get physical and get back into taking my dog for walks. I wish to shake off the mantle of mama guilt and savour every joyful, challenging, loving, tough, happy, beautiful moment of this journey that I’m now on. This is going to sound vain {and I’m really not} but over the last 6 months I have lost 24kgs.. I have found myself starting to like myself again and its boosted my confidence.. My children are proud of me and I’m proud of myself.. I’ve done at the old fashioned way {diet and exercise} anyway, on Monday I knocked my mouth and chipped my front tooth.. I’ve instantly stopped smiling and I’m very self conscious about it… our budget won’t fit me getting it fixed until July… I wish for christmas I could get it fixed…

My Christmas wish is to still be here next Christmas. Having Stage IV Breast Cancer means my life is divided into 6 month periods in between CT scans. They have to keep checking if the cancer has started growing again. I feel so good right now, but any one of those scans could give me the awful news that I’ll have to have chemo (again) and lose my hair (again) and possibly face that chilling realisation that the treatment isn’t working this time, that it can’t stop the cancer spreading, and that will be it 🙁
It’s not a very nice way to live. You can’t make long term plans without thinking about those scans every six months and what you’ll have to do if the results don’t come back good.
So…..I’ve just had a scan (which was good – no changes) so my wish is that I’ll have another good one next May, and another good one next November which means I’ll be as happy and healthy as I feel right now….and I can enjoy another Christmas with my beautiful family.
In the meantime, I’ll just do what I’ve learnt to do in the last three years of living with this awful disease – live my life as best I can, love my nearest and dearest as hard as I can, don’t sweat the little things and live in the moment – BE HERE NOW ❤️

My Christmas wish is simply that my daughters have a great Christmas. My oldest daughter is 2 on December 23rd and this year she is very excited about Christmas. We have started family traditions this year and hope to continue them for years to come. Putting the Christmas tree up as a family and looking at Christmas lights are a couple.
It’s such a magical time of year and to see her face light up is so amazing!

Life is so busy these days for everyone and Christmas is the hardest time to slow down and actually enjoy the season. The past few Christmases have been all done and dusted before I have realised and they never seem to be relaxing. It’s all go go go! So this year my wish is to stop, take stock and find the time to enjoy Christmas and my friends and family. Take the time to talk and enjoy others company, relax and read a book, have a christmas cocktail, take a present to the lovely neighbour down the road who always says hello and all of the little things that often get overlooked in all the Christmas hype. It is the greatest time of year after all, lets enjoy it!

My Christmas wish is for a full time permanent job for my brother who is a former SAS soldier with skills that don’t easily translate to a civilian, non-military life. This means he can support his devoted family with a lot less stress and financial pressure. I’d also love for ALL my family to be together again for Christmas – not something we’ve done since our mother passed away 4.5yrs ago.

There are so many things I wish for it is hard to choose just one. I wish for my children (and everyone’s) to grow up in a world that is safe, with hearts full of gratitude and an attitude of contentment and I wish peace and healing for myself and those that struggle with depression, to learn they are enough and don’t need to do any more or be anymore.

My Christmas wish is the same every year. I want my family, but mainly my nanna, to be happy. I feel she will only ever be truly happy the day she has all her kids in one spot, even just for a Christmas. They are scattered all over the world when they, separately, fled the persecution of the middle east (but we don’t dwell on that!). My Christmas wish is that my dear friend and her 3 children (& baby bump) can have a wonderful Xmas. She is starting life again as a single mother after recently separating from her partner after he decided he wants nothing to do with his unborn child. They have had a rough few months but are finally moving into a home of their own this weekend. My husband and I have been helping her gather furniture over the last few months but other than that, they don’t have a lot of stuff. To bring them a little Christmas joy would be absolutely amazing!

My Christmas wish is for my family to be able to relax after a horrendous end to the year. I lost my 21 year old cousin unexpectedly. She died in her sleep. My whole family was rocked to the core. We are also dealing with changes in custody in regards to my stepsons. I would love the chance to be able to spoil my family this Christmas as I think they deserve it. The kids have been put through the wringer this year….

My Christmas wish is to see my Nonna one last time. As a single mum I just can’t get to Sydney before the new year and I just hope that she holds on for me (as selfish as that is), I just want one more cuddle. It’s been far too long between cuddles.

Living in a very transient town I like to invite those who are alone to spend Christmas with us. Donate time to visit those in nursing homes who may not have family. Send care packages to soldiers who are away for Christmas. Share a laugh and some food with friends. Christmas is a time for giving. It’s my most favourite time of the year.

I already got my Christmas wish! My grandpa was in hospital for 2 months and we were all worried that he wouldn’t be coming out. He finally had a pacemaker put in and is back to the grandpa I knew years ago! Now we get to keep the tradition of him playing Santa and reading out the names on the presents (with help from his elves, of course). Christmas wouldn’t be the same without it. ?

For a happy, healthy baby and a short, trouble free labour 🙂 I am due on the 28th Dec.
With family spread around the globe Christmas is always bittersweet and pretty stressful. Some of my family are coming to visit. We are a blended family so often tensions run high. This year I have suggested no gifts (because we have all had a tough year financially) and instead fr each of us to focus on the fact that we are together for a rare and short time. I am hoping we have unbridled fun and laughs together, eat delicious food until we pop and play in the sun getting strange little burnt patches where we missed with the sunscreen. And I also wish for a terror free season around the world.
As cliche as it may be, I wish for a cure for cancer. I am an only child and my Mum was diagnosed with Stage 3C Ovarian Cancer in August. Things haven’t gone our way with treatment as yet and things are incredibly up in the air. And we are just one family amongst too many who will deal with this horrible disease. Have a wonderful Christmas with those you love and try not to stress the small stuff at this busy time of year xx
My Christmas wish this year is for wisdom and patience in regards to making new friends. It’s been a rather lonely year after I was let down badly by people I considered mates. As a result I haven’t really made too much of an effort to socialise as the trust is gone. However, as the festive season draws near I hope that I’ll be able to let the hurt go and enjoy gatherings with people I once considered good friends. And I can’t wait to shine in 2016!

Last Christmas was my first with my baby girl. Christmas eve was the nightmare before Christmas. She was 5 months old and barely slept. Screamed at her dad and left us both exhausted. I had so been looking forward to that Christmas. We still had fun, but this year i just want a wonderful day with a semi-well rested family. And no night screaming!
My wish is that all people may enjoy and see the true joy and hope of Christmas. That people my unite to show love and kindness to one another.

What any mother would hope for, a happy and healthy family. For the world I wish for better awareness and action on climate change and world peace (VERY Miss universe) but I worry about what kind of world my kids are going to grow up in.
I would wish for my grandad to still be here to enjoy christmas with us (he’s 91 and in hospital) and for my children to appreciate what they have. Also getting through the days with as few tantrums as possible?! Funny what us mums wish for!
My Christmas wish is to get through Christmas without having a panic attack. I’ve somehow found myself hosting Christmas for 17 adults (some of whom I haven’t even met) and seven children and I am FREAKING OUT. I am not a natural host and if host stress is a thing, I suffer from it. Pray for me.

My wish this Christmas is that we have a calm and happy day surrounded by family.
I wish for my kids and family to be kind to each other, for us to be kind to our community and for me to be kind to myself. It doesn’t have to be prefect to be fun!
I would love for my family to be happy and healthy and for my little boy to have a lovely first Christmas:) I asked my little girl and she just wants a minion fart blaster to drive the family nuts with! ( I think Santa will get it for her this year as she has sorted and donated her toys to the local women’s shelter)
My Christmas wish is for my family to have a fun filled day without any stress. To be able to relax and enjoy the day without rushing and stressing and getting frazzled. With two small kids that isn’t always easy but boy would it be nice.
My Christmas wish for patience while my mother in-law visits us and hope that the difficult to reach bulbs on the Christmas lights don’t blow before my husband gets home in 3 weeks!!!! oh and peace on earth..!?❤️?❤️?
My Christmas wish would be to see my family, it’s supposed to be my year with them (they are interstate) but having a small business makes it hard. So my Christmas wish is for all to be happy and stay safe that Santa finds a way to deliver Christmas cheer to those who need it the most.
I wish the people of the world would learn lessons from the children instead of teaching them hate and intolerance. I wish those who are missing someone this Christmas know their loved ones are watching over them. For myself, I am grateful to be able to spend the day running around to my Mum’s for lunch and hubby’s parents for family dinner, because there will come a day that we can only wish that we could spend another Christmas with them. I love Christmas, and I wish that everyone can be thankful for something, because there is still a lot to be thankful for.
If I was to wish for something, other than world peace which is probably a bit cliche, it would be for a miracle cure for my mum and, admittedly, for myself. My mum has been seriously and chronically unwell since she was 12 years old & it’s a miracle she is alive, though she needs 24hr care. I inherited some ‘dodgy’ genes from my mum and though at this stage there is no cure, or even any reliable treatment, I am immensely grateful that I have access to a degree of medical care that she never had when she was younger.
However, my first thought was that I already have the thing I wanted the most for many years. I feel loved and connected after many years of feeling lonely and unloved. I am so very grateful that I now have a home where I feel safe and comfortable and wonderful friends around me who support, encourage and inspire me. So, my wish is for another year spent enjoying the wonder and beauty of life, and the company of the incredible people that I have in my world.
If I was to win, I would keep a few things for myself, give some things away to people who have shown me incredible generosity and love, and give the rest to newly arrived refugee children and families and/or others who are really struggling this Christmastime.

With all my being, all my heart, I wish this Christmas for a connection with my middle daughter. That she knows that for each and every day of all her 12 years, I’ve loved her, admired her, and that I will always love her, even if I don’t always understand her, and that this friction, this seemingly never ending arguing – its a stage, we’ll get through it.
Each Christmas I never ask for anything, mostly I do not receive anything (its all good I am good with it ha so used to it now it seems to be the norm) Being a single mum it is rather hard but I know there is a lot of us out there so it gives me strength to know I am not the only one. I always make sure my daughter has it all, she is 12 now and I would give anything up for her. However, my Christmas wish this year is for all the mass shootings and terrorism to stop. Although this is hardly possible it would be nice if we can all come united and live life to its fullest and not in fear. I worry for my daughter of what this world is going to become. I guess you could say I am hoping for world peace ! I do not generally want for anything but this year it would be nice to get a teaching job ( I have just last year completed my degree and am struggling to make my dream come true ) – Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and the best new year ever ….
It’s easy to wish for a million things but reading some replies below I know Im already blessed. We’ve had our fair share of crap this year and hubby’s health is not flash but there is always someone worse off than you. I luckily can pay our mortgage each month even if it’s robbing Peter to pay Paul and put food on the table.
So I guess I’ll just wish for something to make life easier. I wish miss 3 yr would eat something other than cream cheese sandwiches & mr 18 months to sleep through the night. Then I hope that my hubby health improves and I wish for a packet of tim tams that never runs out…

I already have my Christmas wish, my husband and I are buying our first home (closing is schedule for 21/31 our four year anniversary. It will be the 5th place our Christmas Baby Girl (who will turn 3 this year) will live and in the fourth country. We feel so lucky and blessed that our transition back to the States has gone so smoothly and we now get to live near family.
My wish is for a happy, safe and stress free christmas with friends and family! Lots of giving, receiving, good food, good company & bringing joy to my children. We can’t complain about our lives, sure we have our struggles, we have lots of bills around christmas, but we ways manage to make ends meet and give our 4 children the best we can.

My family has had a tough year, filled with death, loss, health issues and just plain sadness, but despite this we’re closer than ever. This year I am grateful for my family, friends and the memories I have of Christmas as a child and I am wishing for my daughter to enjoy the same magical moments this year, to carry with her through life and light her days when they feel dark.
I think I wish that I could catch up with all the people in my immediate and extended family in the following year (at an event other than a funeral or wedding) to get to just hang out with each of them at some point and reconnect.

I have been undergoing chemotherapy over the last few weeks, and it has left me really sick and exhausted. Christmas is my favourite time of year there is something magical about it that makes me happy. but this year I am worried I might not be feeling up for Christmas day. So my Christmas wish is for one day to be well enough to spend the day with my family and actually being able to eat food and not be in pain and just for one day be able to be present in the moment and enjoy those around me. Just for one day I want to forget about having a terminal illness and just have a normal and merry Xmas experience.

My Christmas wish is more of a pledge. My grandma passed away this year and so I am pledging that I will make the time to to visit my far flung family members more often while they are still here. I was in New Zealand last year for Christmas with my boyfriend’s family so am SO grateful to be able to stay home and have a big family Christmas at my parents’ house this year. Emphasis is off multiple expensive gifts and on to small, thoughtful gifts and lots of time spent really talking to family and friends when we catch up. I’m hoping to inject a relaxed and sincere vibe in to what can be a crazy time of year.

That this year Christmas Day is as fun as the lead up too it! Members of my close family suffer from mental illness, and Christmas Day in particular is tough for them…leading to them not joining in at all or joining in a little too merrily (if you know what I mean!). This year is the first Christmas Day my daughter will really be able to understand (she 2 in January) and I hope we can make it happy and memorable for her. And I hope someone helps me with the cooking and cleaning up.

Luckily wishes are free, because I have so many of them. On the outside 2015 would look like any other year but on the inside things were not quite right in our house. I wish for my husband to rediscover his happiness at work and to realise he is smart and talented and does a great job. This year we have had no medical emergencies, no deaths in the family, happy healthy kids and friends. My only wish for Christmas this year is: just to be happy in 2016!

My wish list for Christmas is for all children to be loved and feel loved. Christmas is about giving and there is nothing more special than seeing kids faces beaming with joy on Christmas Day.
Since I can’t have my Dad back with us, I’d be happy with everyone being happy and healthy on Christmas Day. There’s nothing worse than being sick and unable to enjoy the celebrations with everyone else. I’d also love a Christmas photo of Miss A with Santa. I doubt that’s going to happen though because she’s absolutely terrified of him this year and screams the shopping centre down.

Realistically, I wish for my children to have the best Christmas of their short lives, filled with too much sugar, mountains of scrunched up wrapping paper and buckets of love showering their little heads.
Unrealistically, I wish for George R R Martin to spontaneously release the last few books of The Song of Ice and Fire series (before the show gets to the ending first), “Let It Go” to disappear (just for a month or two at least. Please. Elsa.) and an all expense paid trip to Disneyland. I would even consider taking those before mentioned kidlets of mine.

My Christmas wish … My family to get together. Unfortunately I am part of a large family that is fighting over silly things right now … I’m not sure this will happen. But my parents are getting older and I want each Christmas to be special as you never know when it will be the last one. And Christmas has always been that one holiday my mom has LOVED having the entire family together.
My wish is to spend the day with my children and my family without having to worry about the stress of money for once.

My Christmas wish this year is to find a job. I was laid off one day before having surgery in Nov and now I’m having such a hard time finding work. I’ve applied for help but no luck so I won’t be having much of a Christmas this year, I know it isn’t about the gifts but for me its about giving I’d give up everything just to see my niece or nephew’s face on Christmas morning opening gifts. It’s priceless.

This year we are being posted so I’m leaving my home town and family again, this time with two kids in tow and it’s a bit sad and I feel bit home sick already even though I know we have many great times ahead. So this year my wish is that before we drive out Boxing Day morning I would really love there to be a nice big down pour storm because I love the Darwin storms.
Our sons wish would be for a bottle of orange juice. He turns four on the 29th December and all he wants for Christmas is a bottle of juice. No-he’s not deprived well perhaps from juice apparently. But that’s all he has asked for.

I wish for a pause button. Not pause so that everything stops, but pause so that December lasts for 6 months, so that my first born is not running away to school next year! Everyone said that they grow so quickly, that “before you know it, he’ll be at school”. That you need to savour every moment. And although i tried to do that I regret all the times that I “said not now I’m busy” or wished for alone time. I loved the preschool years, but did I love it enough. I never thought i’d felt like I could have done more. He is so ready for school though. What if next year he doesn’t want or need me as much? What if he stops telling me he loves me “39 hundred” (that’s a lot you know). So just pause for me please, let me have is squishy little face all for myself and love the crap out of him. If i don’t get the pause button i might hyperventilate and vomit on myself, just a little bit.

I’d love a surprise! Last year my husband wrapped up 2bottles of Nit prevention spray ( I had won them in a competition and he picked the package up from the post office) and lead me to believe it was the best present EVER! To be fair, I had gotten a new computer early in December and that was my actual gift, but REALLY?!?! He is lucky I can see the funny side now………12 months later.

This Christmas, my wish is for our kids to one day be able to travel the world with a backpack like we once did. To visit the highest peaks and walk alongside the local people. To speed across the countryside in fast trains and soar high in aeroplanes and their own souls. To stand in awe at deafening applause in giant stadiums, and float in crystal, calm, warm waters. But most importantly, my wish is for my beautiful children to do this without fear; without needing to scan for safety or listen to government travel warnings; without me waving at the airport with a forced smile and my heart in my throat. So my wish this Christmas is for a world where anger and hatred, becomes kindness and compassion.

My Christmas wish is simple. Health and happiness. We had a trying year in 2015 with health issues. I’m hoping that’s a behind us.
I wish that everyone would discuss and actually register to become organ donors. My son was 15 months old in 2009 when he was diagnosed with liver cancer. On Christmas Day he received his life saving transplant. At 1am on Christmas Day I handed my crying little boy over to surgeons and at 10am he was cancer free. This Christmas will be his 6 year ‘liverversary’. It wouldn’t have been possible without an amazing person and family agreeing to share their organs.
Christmas is the perfect time to discuss it with family as everyone is present.
I wish for the morbidity factor to be put aside and the generosity to be embraced, for more people to discuss organ donation to save more lives.
I wish for my family (mum & sisters) to get over their grudges and to remember the important stuff. Family. I’m sick of feeling like the meat in the sandwich. My Christmas wish is simple, love, laughter and happiness. Currently totally stressed over Christmas and how we can manage it but it always falls into place. This year all 3 of our children have found there life partners and we have the joy of a little one with us for Christmas having become grandparents to the most delightful 3 year old this year with a new Bub due after Christmas so a lot will be about her. However, we are doubly blessed to be sharing Christmas with my husbands 90 year old Uncle and Aunt so it truly will be a celebration of family. Totally doable, if they see Mum ( and dad ) giving to charities all their life they will follow suit for sure. Make it a tradition to pick a charity that means something to your family or each individual could have turns choosing and that comes before the receiving. That’s what i do 🙂

It’s a different style of wish for me this year. With dad in ill health and awaiting the results of a biopsy for a possible cancer, all I’m wishing for this year is his health. My girls need to know they’re pop. He absolutely adores them, not to mention how much we all adore him.

In the space of 6 months I lost my auntie and then I lost three much-wanted pregnancies. My Christmas wish is that my family could all come together this Christmas and celebrate together even though my mum is no longer with us. I wish that the importance of family would be placed upon all their hearts and that we could be a family once more, as our family has kind of fallen apart since my mum died 2 years ago. Time goes by so quickly and I fear that we are missing out by being so detached.
My Christmas wish is everyone will find joy and peace in their hearts during this season and that everyone will cherish and be content with what they have and not take it for granted – especially the family we have, the good health we enjoy, the food that is laid on the table, the clothes that we wear and so much more!
For a better year ahead for my loved ones and any friends who have also done it tough. While we were blessed with the birth of our second daughter in 2015, we also suffered tragedy in our family and I know Christmas is going to be really hard knowing someone is missing. But the rest of us will be together so I hope for a day filled with joy simply because we are together.

My Christmas wish is to have my family home for Christmas. Hubby is a Paramedic, so Christmas usually finds him working – last year it was transporting a little 8 year old boy who had cancer from Goulburn to Sydney, but although hubby missed Christmas lunch and time with us as a family, we all received a wonderful gift in the way of a reminder that we are extremely fortunate. Hubby thinks it was one of his best Christmas’ because he got to help out another family and make their day a little bit better.

I am wishing for a bit of time out this Christmas. What a crazy whirlwind of a year 2015 has been. After juggling a new job, an old job, my little people and hubby, plus pets! I am hoping that we can spend some lovely quality time together. Where we can read that extra book, have another pretend cup of tea and doughnut, actually have a cuddle and conversation with hubby, instead of the ‘mummy’s busy right now’, ‘mummy’s off to work’ ‘mummy’s just got to clean the kitchen/floor/room etc’ And maybe…just maybe…mummy might finish reading that book she started in 2014! My Christmas wish is to fall pregnant again. We’ve been trying for number 2 for almost a year now and are heading back to see our fertility specialist this Friday. He helped us get pregnant with our daughter after 4 years of trying so I have everything crossed that it will work for us again with number 2 {if not before Christmas, hopefully some time next year}.

I want my 2 year old daughter, to sleep through the night without waking up screaming. She’s been having nightmares lately, and as a father, it’s one of the hardest things i’ve had to watch.

Santa would sneak a flexible work arrangement into my Christmas stocking which means I only have to work on the days I want to (the arrangement would also include free childcare and a pay rise, obvs.) Oh, and peace, love and harmony for all who need it and deserve it.

My Christmas wish is that my family can be all together one last time, my Uncle was diagnosed with an inoperable oesophagus cancer just last week and we had already planned Christmas as his house with my Aunty and the rest of the family as it was their turn to host this year. After offering to have Christmas day elsewhere ,including my house, we are still having it at their house. It will be our last Christmas all together so I just wish that in these last few weeks leading up to Christmas that he can be at peace and be ok on Christmas day to enjoy spending time with our whole family one last time. xxx
I have to work this Christmas so my wish is that my kids wake up early enough that I get to see them open their presents on Christmas morning!

My Christmas wish is simply for everyone to FEEL the joy, happiness and love. I love Christmas time and how happy and together our families can be and how excited the kidlets get. My Christmas wish is already going to come true- my entire immediately family are spending Christmas together at the Sunshine Coast. We have not had a Christmas Day all together for over 5 years.
My Christmas wish is for my little family plus inlaws to have a relaxing happy healthy time and for my sister-in-law and I to each continue to have good healthy pregnancies (babies due in January and March).
My Christmas wish has been the same for the last 14 years: to spend another Christmas Day with my Mum, who passed away in 2001. She absolutely adored Christmas, her tradition of making a lolly wreath, a fresh berry dessert, watching carols on Christmas Eve, spending time with her loved ones. This is always a bittersweet time for me because I love this time of the year but it always makes me miss her more. So yes, each year I wish she was around so that we could spend that special day together, for her to meet her two grandchildren and for them to get to know their Grandma/Nan/Nanny. And knowing that I will never get that wish, I just hope the day is special and relaxing for everyone. Family is everything, so as long as I have my family around me, I will be happy. My Christmas wish came early this year my father was very ill with pneumonia and he
was diagnosed with fibrosis of the lungs requiring life support, I prayed to
the all mighty to please make him recover and be with us a little longer and I
am happy to say the wish has come true, it will be a cherished Christmas.

Lovely, lovely smelly candles. Because my husband’s feet stink. And the baby’s nappy stinks. And my nose just needs a break!

My Christmas wish for this year is simple. It is to just be kind to myself and to let myself enjoy time with family. No more anxiety or self consciousness would be so wonderfully liberating. Yes, there are 1000 other things I could wish for, and in the grand scheme of what is happening in the world, this may even seem a selfish. I wish the magic would come back.
When I was a kid, every year, we’d take a long drive interstate to visit my maternal nanna. She’d welcome us — my two older brothers and me — with a huge hug each, the kind only nannas can give. Her presents were always the best. They weren’t expensive gifts, but they were always thoughtful, and given with so much love. Christmas at nanna’s place was always magic. But Nanna’s gone now.
After nanna’s passing, my paternal grandma would come down and spend Christmas with us. She knew the void to fill, and she gave our Christmases lots of cheer and laughter. She returned every year for 10 years or so, until travel got too much for her. She, too, has passed away (just 5 weeks ago), aged 95.
Christmases aren’t the same without nannas. I wish — I hope — the fond memories of Christmases gone by will sustain us through what may be one of the toughest Christmases yet.

My wish This Christmas is hard to limit to just one. Its been a tough year for us, medically and financially, but what I truly want is to spend time with my 5 girls, my partner, mum, dad and my sister. To hear the sounds of their laughter, the cuddle of my nephew and niece in my lap, hold hands with my man and listen to the stories told by my parents. THAT would make my Christmas.
All I want for christmas is a biiiiig sleep in, but knowing that between my toddler and the baby studiously practicing gymnastics in my tummy that won’t happen I would settle for a coffee grinder and a small truckload of coffee beans.

My Christmas wish this year is that I can find the room in my heart to forgive my sisters for the pain and suffering they have put me through over the past year, and make nice with them enough so my parents can piece together our fractured family again.
This time last year, both of my sisters made my parents choose between them and me. My parents chose them, and told me, in no uncertain terms, that I was no longer welcome in our family. This happened 3 days before my birthday last year. My mother eventually apologised for “the misunderstanding”, but it still took me the better part of 6 months before I could be in the same room as my parents. I haven’t spoken to either of my sisters since that awful day last year. It’s my birthday today, and I am still hurting. I wish I can stop hurting, and then, I may find the room in my heart to forgive my sisters.

This year my wish for Christmas is to have a relaxing time away with my family with lots of visits to my inlaws beach house which saves us money instead of going away else where.

My wish is for time. Not just free time, but quality time. My husband has worked 6 days a week all year and sometimes has been away for months on end. That Christmas is held at another family members house! They put on the food, they put on the booze, they get stuck with the mess and excessive amount of rubbish, and they have to feign sweet smiles as a bunch of free loading ingrates, only seen but once a year don’t even say thank you for the meal, the effort, and all those extra little touches done to make it super special for everyone.
This said, my Christmas wish is to spend it just us. Wife, kids and immediate family, with close friends, not all the hangers on, the extended family moochers that only show their faces for Christmas or when they want something. And no I’m no Grinch, just want us and ours to enjoy the true meaning of Christmas, not the massive over commercialization of a day that holds true meaning, somehow lost by everyone focussing on the ‘present’ and by present I mean gift(s).
That my favourite little cousin’s baby is happy and healthy and born on Christmas Day. AND that her now ex-fiance comes to his senses and realises what an amazing girl he has (had!), and returns to mend the heart he shattered at a time that should be so special for them, for all of us.

Most day he works 18 hours+ running his business and weekends looking after his parents. It’s taken a toll on his health and I worry for him. Equality, that is my wish. Tonight my outdoor trainer told me she couldn’t wear the work provided shorts (despite Adelaide’s heatwave) as they only had shorts available made for men and they were uncomfortable, so she had on her tights. This appalled me a national company still not recognising females as leaders!! Really got me thinking! Why in 2015 are these issues still occurring? What a better place we would live and grow in if we were all treated equally.

I am wishing that I remember to enjoy and relish the time I have with my family, both immediate and extended. After losing a grandfather, grandmother and great-grandmother this year, I have been reminded that time with our loved ones is so precious. My new aim is to be totally present in the moment with my loved ones creating new memories together. I can’t wish for more time, but I can wish that the time we have is filled with love, joy and peace.

Very cliche, but good health and happiness for all my family. My Christmas wish is to improve my balancing skills. Most of the time I make myself unnecessarily busy that I forget to just enjoy the moment. My kids (3 years and 4 months) are growing up so fast, and I need to take it in more, rather than trying to show the world ‘how together’ I have it.
My Christmas wish is to be strong enough to be amazing for my kids this Christmas. I just learnt some rather average news, and I just need strength to be the best Mum I can be, and enjoy as much as I can with them through this festive season.
My Christmas wish is that women everywhere will take a moment away from stuffing the turkey, buying gifts for the kids, finding a new spot for that bloody Elf, and generally looking after everyone to enjoy a peaceful moment to kick back and appreciate all the awesomeness this year has contained. And to do something lovely that’s just for them. A glass of bubbles, a pedicure, a new pair of shoes. We’ve all earned it! x
After all recent events, simply ‘Peace on Earth’! But failing that, eradicate anxiety not just for myself but all sufferers and happiness and health for all.

I would love to share this gift with the people I love in my life – I am moving 5 hours south next year – away from these beautiful people and am so grateful for the years we have had together.

I’m wishing for a chaos free Christmas, with four generations of family coming to our farm for Christmas it will likely be hectic, organised chaos. There’ll be campers in tents, every bed and square centimetre of carpet occupied and even a motor home or three parked in the cow paddock. I’ve baked, preserved and harvested up to my eyeballs. The Christmas tree will be buried in a mountain of pressies for all and sundry. Perhaps I should just wish for New Years then the chaos will be back to our normal close family chaos, definitely not peaceful, just normality.
My Christmas wish this year would be that my hubby & 3 little kids would be excited (maybe i would even settle for happy) to come along to church with me … just for one service this year … (I wont even push the wish to say “not to take food” for them to consume all the way through.)

My christmas wish is to have a day filled with – No oscar winning tantrums (parents and kids included), a nice family photo (is to really too much to ask guys?) a magic fairy to clean the house after the present and food tornado (and give the rest of the house a sprinkle whilst their at it) and ofcourse the ability to eat a whole pav whilst still losing weight 🙂

A Christmas miracle of the epic kind – having all 6 kids together for Christmas! Two of my step-daughters live in New Zealand and our 4 year old has never met his eldest sister 🙁 Last Christmas we had to Photoshop her in to the Christmas photo :/ Hubby’s face after surprising him with all 6 together for the very first time would be like all our Christmases had come at once!

To make my (nonno) grandpa smile again. It started a few months back when he went into hospital he is about to turn 90. Old frail and just really not well. He had an operation. Since leaving the hospital and care he is back home. The problem is he is always crying, when we visit or even when we phone. He is just really sad and depressed. My family just want to see him smile and be happy for Christmas.

My Christmas wish is firstly for good health for all my nearest and dearest… then for that blessing of health to beam out to all people in the world. May they all have good health, feel safe in their homes, happy with their families, and have enough food and water to eat and share. Closer to home, I wish for my husband to finally be successful in an interview for a job in his chosen field, so that he feels fulfilled and successful. I wish for my parents to live long, long healthy lives, and that we get many opportunities to be with them in the coming years, and soak up and celebrate the memory of their wisdom and kindness. I wish for both of my daughters’ front teeth to be viable, after uncanny accidents where the same front tooth was pushed up in each child (aaaaarggghhh… teeth accidents!). I wish that my vision in both eyes remains for as long as possible after being diagnosed with a serious, uncommon, degenerative eye disease this year…so I can help my 6 year old son with his reading, and my 4 year old daughter with her pre-literacy and social stories… I wish a great start to my daughter’s preschool year after she was found to be meeting many indicators for ADHD and Oppositional Defiance – most of all I wish that she will be able to make and maintain friendships. I wish for my son’s asthma to be kept at bay so that we have another year without a hospital stay.
I’m wishing for the simple things this Christmas and the main one is for my family to be healthy and avoid gastro. We have had a few incidents of this happening very close to Christmas and at Christmas in the past and it’s something I really want to avoid again. I’m hoping that my 2 boys have a wonderful Christmas. One that they look back on with fond memories, lots of special family time together and traditions like some of my childhood Christmas’s.
My wish every day is for the health and happiness of my loved ones (and everyone, really). Of course, nothing is more important. But second to that, specifically for this year, I am wishing for my husband’s little business to have a good start and for him to make a bit of income, enough to get by will be just fine. I’d love for my next door neighbour to make it through Christmas. Her sister just came to our door after accidentally backing into my car, because she was so distressed, to tell us she’s gone to hospital and doesn’t look good at all.
I’m wishing that the wars/violence/terror stop and all children are able to feel as safe and secure as my little girl does here with us in Australia. Not having to worry about her parents being stolen, beaten or killed in the night, not worrying about her big brother being blown up at school. Getting to be a kid that can safely play in her home and enjoy the life her parents have always hoped she’d have. x
My Christmas wish this year is that all the countries that have reached agreement on addressing climate change in Paris yesterday will actually bring about significant, effective change back home, so that the planet will be livable for future generations.
Wishing / hoping that I will be up and walking again after an accident two weeks ago so i can at least do something small with my partner and two year old and cook Chrissy dinner. Had it all planned and now won’t even be able to do pressie or food shopping :-/

Same thing I have wished for every year since my daughter was born – health, strength & hapiness. Sounds corny yes – but when you’ve been though as much in your short life as my littler superstar every little wish helps! (3 open hearts by age 2 and then a lengthy fight against septic group a strep at age 6 – she’s a warrior) Scars are proof you were strong than what tried to defeat you!

My Christmas wish would be for my family to be healthy and happy. My sister in law is battling breast cancer at the moment,and with three young children all under the age of 3, so health is our number one priority!
Just to spend some time in a dark room by myself without a toddler dictating everything at me!! Oh I can only dream!
I’d love a little holiday, maybe a cruise, just to get away for a while, to relax and rejuve!
I wish I could go to the shops and fill up my Carrymaster Trolley with some supplies, and then fire up the Ziegler & Brown Triple Grill BBQ and cook up aforementioned sausages cooking with the oil and chilli sauce form the Maggie Beer Puddings and Bubble hamper, which also then supplies desert all of which will be pictured on facebook in higher than standard clarity and resolution using the Olloclip 4in-1 lens for my Iphone.
After a hefty lunch myself and my wife would hop on our Reid Bicycles and the kids on their choice of a Globber My Free Up scooter of My Free 4-in-1 Scooter and go the the beach where the girls would go swimming in their new Queensland Swimwear Company outfits and while the kids play, my wife can accessorise on the beach in her new swimwear with a matching Charli Bird Silk Scarf.
Later that afternoon we would go home where the girls can tire themselves out playing with their Smiggle Goodies, Moose Toys Mega Pack and Tiger Tribe Super Mega Pack and have a light meal of any leftover sausages form the Ziegler & Brown Triple Grill BBQ and desert from the Maggie Beer Puddings and Bubble hamper.
After the kids go to bed the wife and I would pamper ourselves using some Planet earth products provided by Feel Good Australia, before slipping on our Aloha Sandals and lighting a Planet Earth candle.
Then before bed putting on our Misfit Bloom and Misfit Shine to track our sleep which will no doubt be peaceful owing to the wonderful day we will have had.
then a week later reality will set back in as I pack my suit into my Henty Wingman Messenger up to go back to work….
I’m wishing that my mother’s hip replacement that’s played up so much this year will resolve and she can then spend 2016 pain-free and get back into life…
This year my christmas wish is that all the people in AGED CARE get a chance to celebrate Christmas with their families because Christmas is all about family get together and i feel sad when i see that those people are not with their families on this special day – even though our cupcakes bring a bit of happiness for them but still family is family.
To make our daughter happy on Christmas day- it will be an emotional one as her baby brother Riley died from whooping cough this year.
To finally fall pregnant… just that one little elusive thing would make all my wishes come true xx

Now that my girls are getting a little older I hope to extend the focus of giving to others at Christmas to ways we can give to others all year round. I wish for the magic of Christmas to be the magic of everyday.
When it does come to the Christmas season though my Christmas wish is that my girls never lose the spirit of Christmas and I always want them to believe in its magic, to believe in Christmas miracles no matter how old they are.
To have a family Christmas dinner that doesn’t involve the harsh judgmental debate between whether my Mother or my Aunt made the better pavlova.
Well… happy mangoes sounds pretty great, but a bun in the oven sounds even better 😉
