I used juniper berries for the first time today. Don't know why it took me this long, smells divine cooking on my roast lamb at the moment!! xx
I had scones with jam and cream at the Country Women's Association stall at the Royal Show for the first time one the weekend. I highly recommend it.
I tried salt and pepper squid on the weekend….now i know why i haven't had it before…. won't be having it again
We did spray painting for toddlers for the first time today.. We hung some thin rope along in the back yard, then hung some big sheets of butchers paper from it ad mixed up some water colours in spray bottles and let her rip! Was awesome fun! 🙂
I mixed florals and stripes today. /shallow.
When Le Artise was a few years old, before the arrival of Petal, I decided I needed a new hobby so I took up indoor rock climbing. I totally loved it but came to the unfortumate conclusion that my arms were about as strong as two pieces of over-cooked spaghetti.
Hmmm we renovated our place for the first time. OK we paid someone to do it but it was the first time paying someone to do it! 😛
Saturday was a first for me. Although it is not a fun first! Spun out on a rain slicked road with my family in the car and saw my life flash before me eyes! Strange how that really happens! We are all okay and for that I am extremely thankful.
I paid a surgeon today to pull my teeth out tomorrow. That's a first!
I made and canned peach jam with my sister on friday. It was such a lovely bonding experience and I have never ever canned before.
@Liss: That sounds delicious. Something I've never done either! {And perhaps should}.
@Kylie: You've got me craving scones now. Yummity yum.
@Bee: That's a shame. I love salt and pepper squid. Perhaps it wasn't good stuff? You're not keen on seafood anyway, are you?
@inner hippy mumma: That sounds like such fun. I've never done that one before.
@Hannah: You're living on the edge! 😉
@AussieWaffler: I love the way you word things. So brilliantly hilarious. x
@Lorraine: Oooh lucky duck! That's a first, for sure. x
@melifaif: I'm sorry you had to go through that. Not a fun first, at all. 🙁
@Alycia: Ick! Have fun with that? At least you'll feel better in a few days. x
I can't think of a single thing I've done for the first time. Isn't that sad?
I guess this is one. Yesterday I took the oldest of the kids I look after to get some high heels for her formal. We walked into PeepToe shoes, which is a new, flashy shoe store. It has floor to ceiling mirrors and lots and lots of lights everywhere. It's the first time I've been in the store… and probably the last. We bought some shoes but couldn't high tail it out of there fast enough. We're were all getting headaches from the intensity of the place. We're seriously not cool enough. Bah!
I went on a mechanical surf board on Saturday… that was certainly a first! (My cousin had a beach themed party for her other half's 30th and had hired it for the garden.) Being my first time I was not that good at staying on! 😉
Well, watching my 11 year old niece in her grand final – that was a first but not really what you are looking for. I have taken up a running program from Couch to 5km's and it is new for me. Dianne
