Photo A Day | Week Fourteen | March/April

Morning!

I’m writing this from the kitchen table at my Ma’s house. We’re all having a big sleepover, as my Big Sis and Bro-in-law are up from Sydney, and who doesn’t love a sleepover? Well, probably my sister who has been woken at crazy o’clock by my kids. Whoops.

This week’s list is a March/April list, kicking off tomorrow on the 30th of March and covering off Easter. I know some people who play along don’t recognise Easter, so I’ve tried t make it as general as possible.

If you play along on Instagram, I’m tossing up whether to change the hashtag or not. You might have noticed that the feed under the #FMSphotoaday hashtag have been spolied by spam-type photos. I’d love to know your thoughts. Should we switch to #FMSphotoaday15? I’ll be so sad to lose the hashtag that so many photos have been shared on. But it’s an idea I want to ponder, and would love your thoughts too.

The list this week is designed by Kristina by Hello Mala. She’s so very clever, and I think I need this Beach Please print, pronto. Pop over to her site and check out more of her work. So clever!

I’d love to see your photos this week. It’s a great chance to be creative with lots of celebrations and days off work.

+ You can also print out the list, save it as your screensaver or save it to your camera roll.

A little more about the prompts:

30. On my table
Show what’s on your table today. Even if it’s just a mess, get creative and share it.
31. Two tone
Oh, a creative one. Two tone means two different shades or colours. How can you show that in a photo? Try it!
1. Lunch
Simple. Show us what’s for lunch today.
2. Building
Take a photo of a building. To be a bit more creative you could get down low and take a photo looking up.
3. This is good
What’s good in your life right now? Share it.
4. I stood here
Where did you stand today. Snap a photo my friend.
5. Egg
For those that celebrate it, it’s Easter Sunday today. Take a photo of an egg. Don’t celebrate, any egg will do! See what you can do.

Have fun! x

  1. I can see changing up the hashtag. So many people have been flooding it with so much spam!!! My only question is how long would it take for the spammers to pick up on the change? I really don’t know, as yours is the only group I really follow.

  2. I think you should stick to the old hashtag, #fmsphotoaday. Even if you change it to a new one, surely spammers will be there. At least previous photos shared won’t be lost.

  3. I know someone had the idea of changing it up daily ex #fmsbuilding but I know you’d only be able to access that day’s posts. Ugh… doesn’t seem to be a simple fix. Just keep on reporting the loser spammers out there that poached your hashtag, eh?
