November Photo A Day 2016

Howdy!

I know it’s hard to believe, but Photo A Day is coming up to it’s fifth year. That’s a whole lotta photos. And today is flipping NOVEMBER. I can’t even fathom that another year has passed us by and before we know it we’ll be putting the Christmas tree up and eating too much food, again.

Yes, I’m getting ahead of myself. I know it. ?

So, today I’m here to share the November Photo A Day list with you, but to also share that something is changing. We’re starting off with a fresh new hashtag. #FMSphotoaday will move to #FMSPAD to avoid all the spammers and nudies that have been happening over on our popular hashtag. So from November forward please use #FMSPAD as the hashtag.

The big question is: Do you still want daily hashtags? Or should we keep it simple and just run with the one hashtag #FMSPAD? I’d love your feedback.

And then without further ado, here’s the list for November…

November Photo A Day Challenge 2016

HOW TO PLAY

+ Playing along is really simple! Just look at the list each day and take a photo using the prompt as inspiration. So, for example, Day 1 is TINY, so all you have to do is take a photo of something small or distant that you find as you go about your day.
+ You can then share your photo on either Facebook or Instagram or both! To share on Instagram, just upload with the hashtag #FMSPAD and you’re done {more details below if you need them though!} and to share on Facebook, upload to your personal page or jump into our Facebook group and share there.

HOW TO PLAY ON INSTAGRAM

+ Simply upload the photo to Instagram, add a caption {you could mention the day and the prompt in the caption}, add the hashtag #FMSPAD and then publish.
+ Check out the #FMSPAD hashtag to see all the other photos. Like them. Comment on them. Be part of the community.
+ Each day a Fab Four is picked from the photos shared on Instagram for the challenge. It’s four photos that have captured our attention from each prompt. Check the feed {@littlemomentsapp} to see the photos.
+ To make it easier to find all the daily photos, you can find and use the daily hashtags below. Simply add them to your caption when uploading to Instagram.  Alternatively, my App {The Little Moments App for iPhone/iPad} generates the daily hashtag for you automatically so it takes all the thinking out of it for you!

HOW TO SHARE ON FACEBOOK

+ Upload the photo to Facebook – you can either share on your personal page, on your business page {if you have one} or in our Facebook Photo A Day group {you’ll be added within 12 hours of requesting}, add a caption {you could mention the day and the prompt in the caption} and then publish.
+ Check out the photos shared in the group, or among your friends. Comment, like and be part of the photo-taking community.
+ Each day a Fab Four is picked from the photos shared in our Facebook group for the challenge by our lovely admin team. It’s four {or more} photos that have captured our attention from each prompt. The photos are made into a collage, shared and pinned to the top of the group.

HOW TO REMEMBER THE PROMPTS EASILY

+ For all devices and PC, we upload the prompts which you can download automatically into your phone or PC calendar. For Smartphones & Mac Calendar, click here. For HTML for web viewing, click here.
+ You can also print out the list, save it as your screensaver or save it to your camera roll.
+ If you’re a lucky iPhone or iPad owner, you can use the Little Moments App to remind you of what the prompts are, as well as make your photos a bit fancy. You can grab the App here.

    • Howdy! Thanks for sharing. It’s just whatever catches our eye. Nothing in particular. Much the same as you pick from a menu – one day it might be one thing, another day another item. It’s just putting the spotlight on the community. xx

  1. I love the daily hashtags, as well, so I can search to see what other people have done for the same prompt!

  2. I am SO happy you’ve changed the hashtag to #fmspad. I’ve hated all the p*rn spam that infiltrated the old hashtag.

I vote for daily hashtags. It’s so easy to follow the day’s prompt that way!

  3. …I have liked the daily ones in response to the overload of spam + unrelated postings. Maybe with a new project hashtag the daily ones won’t be so much of a problem for a while?

  4. I like using daily hashtags but mostly for sharing on my personal Facebook page. Then I can click on it and see who else posted pics of that same prompt.

  5. I’ve been liking the daily hashtags…easier to see for that day especially if (like me) people are late you can just see each day rather than them jumbled together! 🙂

  6. When all the spam started I stopped using the main hash tag and only used the daily. I’m like the others and love the daily to see some of the great ideas people have.

  7. I have a question about hashtags. Do we use them if we only post in facebook? It seems to me they are more an instragram thing? Or am I mistaken
