Everyday Everybody: Amy.

Thank you to everyone who emailed me wanting to be involved in the Everyday Everybody interviews. It’s great to be able to take a sneak peek into your lives. If you want to be involved just pop me an email: fatmumslim@hotmail.com

The first interviewee is Amy from Love, Bubs and Life on our Little Farm.

What do you think you’ll be like aged 65?
I think I will be one of those old sprightly ladies that are still riding horses. I see them at my riding club and think its fantastic that they are still doing what they love. I hope I am still fun and not bitter at those that have youth.

When talking to others, how do you refer to your partner?
I use “my hubby” most often – its pretty informal out here in the country but either “Jase” or ” my husband” if I am being more formal. I never actually refer to him by his full name! He only gets that if he is in big trouble.

Do you wear slippers?
Yep, in winter when it is cold enough to. The same old pair of ugg boots that I have had since I was a teenager. They are pretty worn out, have holes and I am naughty and wear them outside in the early morning to feed the horses sometimes so they are not looking too clean! My hubby often jokes that they should be burnt.

Have you ever been on a blind date?
No I never got the chance to date. I just went out drinking a lot at uni and relationships were started and continued after many a wild night and random snogs. By the time I finished at uni, I was engaged.

What’s the nicest thing anyone has ever said to you?
My mum has told me that she thinks I am a better person than she is. Considering I think my mum is the most selfless, generous and strong woman I have had the privilege of knowing, it was high praise. Close second would be all the amazing things my husband has said to me over the past 9 years.

Have you ever heard other people making love?
Yes – the day we got engaged we were staying the Blue Mountains in a lovely B&B. But we were kept up all night with the sounds of loud annoying sex. Every time we thought it had stopped, it would start again. The next morning I heard the door of the next door room open and I peeked out to see who had been making all the noise – it was the meekest looking little Japanese couple. Our engagement made our stay memorable but we still laugh about that night for the noise reasons more!
What was the first film you ever saw at the cinema?
The ones I can remember, I can’t place in chronological order in my mind but I can remember Santa Clause the Movie and The Transformers Movie (cartoon version).
Have you ever sleepwalked?
No but I sleep talk – I often have complete conversations with my husband that I have no memory of in the morning.
Where was the first place you flew to?
When I was a baby I flew to Perth but first I remember was at age 9 to London.
What are you looking forward to at the moment?
My baby girls first birthday, an upcoming cross country competition with my horse and a day spa trip that my mum and I have been given gift certificates for.
Thanks Amy. A great interview. xx
