Beauty-full at 31.

I

n a recent survey of 2000 men and women, it was discovered that women are most beautiful at 31 years of age. Oh, sheer delight! That’s a year away. The best is yet to come!

The study also revealed that we feel more confident as we age, and two thirds of women felt the old saying was correct – with age comes beauty.
Do you feel you get more beautiful as the years pass? What age have you felt most beautiful? What makes you feel beautiful?

  1. Wow, I feel so so far from beautiful today at 31, and I only have a few months left. I hope I find that feeling before it's over

  2. I don't feel 'more beautiful' as I've gotten older, but I do care less about that sort of stuff. My questfor beauty is more internal these days and I that makes me much, much happier which probably makes me more beautiful!?

  3. hmmm yes that is a hard one that i struggle with. I am YET to feel beautiful, but 31 is two years ago… so it must be around the corner!

  4. Most definately!! I look back at my high school photos and think 'who is that' primary school was even worse!
I'm turning 37 in a few months and don't feel a day over 25. Somtimes I sit back and think OMG I'm nearly 40 – but as 'they' say….Life begins at 40 🙂 Bring it on!!!

  5. Dammit – then I'm waaaaay past my prime at 39, almost 40!

    Ha ha…

Beauty comes from within, and my family seems to think I'm alright, so why shouldn't I? I'm pretty comfy in my own skin, which is not to say I don't have days where I feel too old and wrinkly – I do – but at the end of the day I'm me and I'm not getting any younger! I choose to embrace my age and appearance with each new year. I'm lucky to be here.

    xx

  6. I turned 31 last month and since then I've had an awakening of sorts.

My body isn't perfect, far from it and I know it never WILL be perfect but over the last few weeks I've grown to love what it is and in doing so has made me want to make it better.

I want to lose 20kg, this will still make me overweight but it will make me a curvy size 14/16, something I always have been and always will be and I love my curves, I just want to be able to SEE them again.

At 31, I love me for me, yes even my imperfections.

  7. I definitely feel more confident than ever now at 32 but at 31 I had a one year old and exhaustion took over not making me feel very beautiful. I did feel beautiful during my pregnancy though and the year I got married. Hope that doesn't sound too corny!

  8. Oops, I think I must have blinked at 31 and missed the 'beautiful' stage! The man at the coffee shop this morning though said 'What can I get you beautiful?' and it did take me a moment to realise he was talking to me!!! I know it was just a line but it made my day!

  9. Hmmm… yes, as far as I could remember, early 30s were good. You are confident in yourself, you are not all grey yet, you are pretty happy in your skin.

    Yup, all good.

Of course, 41 isn't ugly either.

  10. Oh crap i thought it was 40 not 31 i was looking forward to being a stunner when i turn 40 in a few years, oh well!!!!
Though I do feel as I have gotten older that on the inside i am a beautiful person and that is what matters the most to me. It also helps on the odd occassion to hear my partner and kiddies tell me I am beautiful!!!

  11. bummer!!!!!! good for you though!

I always feel beautiful after the hairdresser makes me really blonde and straightens my hair but lately my double chin and growing behind are bothing me – thankfully my big growing belly reminds me it's all worth it!

    Corrie;)

  12. I got married at the ripe old age of 32. I felt the most beautiful ever on my wedding day, but it was because I was surrounded by all my friends and family (and I had the skills of an amaaaazing make up artist). I think I was also beautiful because I was happy. Happiness makes you more beautiful.

  13. 25 comes to mind. And now and hopefully next week. I feel like at 27 I'm really starting to settle into myself. Know what works and suits me and what doesn't.

I welcome 31. When it is its turn to come.

  14. I don't know if I agree with 31 but certainly early 30's. Mainly because I have learnt to accept me – sure I see people with great legs or fantastic hair and wish they were mine but in general I would say that the early 30's are great.

  15. YES!
with each passing year I really do feel more ME.
    and more at peace.
and I THINK I look better as a result.
and, as I yammered about yesterday on my blog, my opinion is really the only which matters.

  16. You know what is beautiful, Chantelle? Your blog. Thank you for such light, beauty and inspiration. xxx

  17. I'm heading to 34 (sshhh!) in a few weeks time and I still feel beautiful, well most of the time anyway. Loving my 30s though, I'm hoping life just gets better!
