OK, guys. I’ve been testing out the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III, and loving it. I’ve been raving about it, and a lot of you have asked for details about the camera, and this post is going to be jam-packed with it.

There are lots of reasons I choose Olympus to shoot with and recommend it to anyone looking for a good camera. They’re easy to use, light, and forward-thinking. I like that. When it comes to this camera in particular, the OM-D E-M10 Mark III this why I’m totally loving it.

ONE: THE INBUILT STABILISER
Kids move. A lot. Most photos I take are of my kids, and trying to capture them successfully can be challenging. I’m moving. They’re moving. I’m crouching down, wobbly. The stabiliser means less blurry shots, and is great when shooting video too {smoother videos for the win!}.

TWO: THE AP FUNCTION
Firstly I hinted in another blog post at a functionality in the camera that I was loving and was going to share in more detail. Have you ever seen a storm and wanted to snap photos of lightning? Or maybe fireworks? Well, the OM-D E-M10 Mark III has a new functionality that allows you to capture the most beautiful photos of that light. You can set the camera up on a tripod or surface, and set it to the new AP mode. Press it once, and it takes a photo… and then each time new light enters the photos {from lightning or fireworks or where ever you are} it adds it to the photo without blowing out the exposure.

I’ve only managed to play with it once when we had some lightning the other night, but I love it! This one is straight out of camera, no editing.

THREE: IT’S LIGHT
The best camera you have is the one you have with you. I’ve done the bulky, heavy camera that I never took with me because it was TOO big. This camera fits in my handbag {and my bag is small} plus a spare lens, and doesn’t weigh me down. That’s important, don’t you think?

THREE: The WiFi FUNCTION
All of the Olympus cameras do this magic thing, where you can easily download the photos from the camera to your phone using the Olympus Imaging App… so that you can share them immediately. You know we’re all about instant gratification, right? Who has time to wait?

I would love to win after recently donating 2 of my cameras to a local child care centre to use on their Olden Day presentation days which allows children to handle and use objects and items as they were used years ago. One of them was really bulky and used the old film rolls and the other used a sim card. fingers crossed
