You know that book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar? The one where the caterpillar eats his way through everything and keeps eating and eating, and then almost bursts. I have a child like that. It came as a bit of a shock, because Lacey is the kid that eats like a sparrow. She could easily miss a meal and continue on without making a fuss. Lulu on the other hand, well I know when she’s hungry. She’s THAT caterpillar. She grazes from the moment she wakes, til the moments before she sleeps. She loves to eat {which is good, cos I like people who love their food. AND it’s healthy}.
Rafferty’s Garden recently asked me to try out their new range of yoghurts. They come in four flavours, they’re all natural and they’ve got no hidden nasties. I want to pretend that I was the mum that pureed all her own food for her babies, but I wasn’t. Don’t judge me. In the five years from Lacey being born to Luella being born, baby food changed. It got good. Rafferty’s Garden was my saviour, and Lulu actually liked it better than anything I stewed or made myself. She still loves the apple, pear and cinnamon. It’s my go-to to fill her up, and I can easily throw it back to her while I’m driving and we all make it through the trip with smiles.
What do I think of the yoghurts? They’re good. No fake stuff. Just the goods. They would be great for babies {who are into dairy} and would easily fit in the big kids’ lunchboxes too {freeze them and pop them in!}. They’ve got no thickeners that you can find in other yoghurts, and they’re just real stuff. They didn’t scrimp on the fruit either, making them tasty and nutritious. They come in four flavours: Banana, pear and mango, Watermelon, strawberry and apple, Apple, pear and cinnamon and, Blueberries, banana and apple.

The Messy Shed! Where we live there is this awesome cafe who have set up a spot for kids to get messy! A different activity each week, from ‘car wash’ to ‘foamy fun’ to ‘potion mixing’
Such a fun place to hang out with the kids- and I don’t need to mop my floors afterwards 🙂
Lilydale lake. There is a playground, massive open dpace to run and play, a lake to walk around, a sandy beach area, awesome fun for the whole family
I don’t have kids but I look after my cousins regularly. I love to get out and about with them by taking them to wet n wild or the local park. Having them outside and away from screens is the best
We love to head out on mystery drives! We love finding places that we haven’t been to before and sometimes we just pull over to say hi to some horses and have a picnic on a country road or we end up finding a lovely beach with beautiful shells. It’s such a fun thing to do with the kids!
My toddler at the moment REALLY likes a local shopping centres new playground! I know it’s not outside but it’s safe and totally toddler friendly. It has a tunnel and plastic leaf slide perfect for toddlers. It’s also right next to an awesome cafe for Mums coffee.
Our own backyard. Fresh air, plenty of things to dig around in and the dog to run around after! What could be better?
We love to grab the bucket & spade, some fruit & the beach towels and head to the foreshore on a warm morning!! Paddle, play & chill. Best.
Our favourite place is the Christmas Shack! We love love love this place! We are Christmas nuts and are passing this onto our kids. We love to look at all of the lights & see what we can add to our display at home. Such a magical time of year!
We have a song for our days out, “archer and mummy’s… day… of… FUN!!” We always try to go somewhere different, be it a new shopping centre, a new walking track, or visiting a friend who usually comes to us, and lives on the other side of town. I always try to keep it interesting for both of us. With Christmas around the corner, there’s lots more to see and do for us both!
We love to take the kids to the wheat farm my husbands family owns. Miss 5 loves helping with farm chores and riding the motorbike, little Miss 5 months loves the farm air (and I love how great she sleeps!)
My grand daughter loves to head out to the paddock to spend time with her Uncle Joey, especially this time of the year when he is on the header! So many buttons to play with. ? We do have to pack extra snack though to share with Uncle Joey.
We really love the beach at the moment. We find. Quiet spot and dig for as long as our little construction workers heart desires. We get lots of vitamin d and fresh air, and I don’t know why but watermelon always tastes better at the beach than anywhere else, and that’s pretty hard to beat.
My son and I love jumping on the bikes and riding the local bike trails making lots of stops on the way. Playgrounds, cafes, a field of flowers, the sights are endless and we can’t get enough of the quality time together!
We absolutely love the farmers markets on the weekend. My eldest loves sampling the produce and my youngest loves watching all the commotion from the pram. It’s our favourite Saturday morning adventure! Xx
We love taking our girls to Rusty’s markets here in Cairns, we get our vegies and fruit, a fresh juice and a traditional Bahn Mi, or coffee with the local farmers and gardeners, the girls walk around with a chunk of watermelon one of the old Italian ladies have given them, it really is what memories are made of…
We like to get out and about in general! With my first baby, it took me so long to pull myself out of the “newborn haze” – thank goodness for my mothers group who formed a walking group – we would take our babies to parks in their strollers, which later turned into feeding the ducks, having picnics (with COFFEE for us mums!) and eventually, when the kids grew legs, hours of playing on the playgrounds. Fast forward 3 years, I’ve had my second boy 4 weeks ago, we are already out and about – my eldest riding his bike and me walking with bub in the sling. Fresh air and sunshine are good for the soul wherever your adventures take you, and I will continue to raise my two as active, healthy boys who are always out and about and on the go!
I am lucky to live close to the Theme parks, we have an annual pass and make a day of it. When it’s just me and the kids (almost 4 and 6 months), we usually head down to the local park for a play. Once a week we’ll go visit a playground friend at their house or go to an indoor play center.
To the park to play and meet up with friends for picnics. Always have the most fun and laughs.
My son and I love catching up with our mothers group friends. Our new favorite spot is the local chocolate factory! There’s kids play equipment and a beaut train made out of old tree trunks that they all love climbing over. I could see us using the donut picnic rug there!!
We live about a 10 minute drive from Taronga Western plains Zoo so we love to take the kiddies out for a drive they pick an animal each and we stop and learn something new about their chosen animal lots of fun memories
My son and I love to get out of the house and go anywhere and everywhere! We love the park when the weather is nice or a trip to the shopping centre for some retail therapy when it’s not. It’s more about giving him new experiences and as he is about yo become a big brother soon, just getting out and about is a victory in itself!!!
Our local park is always a firm favourite, plenty of playground action always a wallaby or 2 around and no shortage of friends new and old.
Getting out of the house is certainly a challenge these days with a two year old and a four month old. Not as easy to go out on a whim! When we do, we love to head to a park where my lil man could swing and swing for hours on end! Life’s simple pleasures.
What a lovely prize! My girl is nearly 7 months old and has started to love the outdoors, so we get out for a long walk with the pram each day and try to fit in time to roll around at the park. She recently dipped her toes into the river and loved it, and I’m excited to take her to the beach as much as possible this summer! Is there anything cuter than babies at the beach?
Wherever there are people! My 3 year old boy loves to say hi to everyone he sees and to tell them ‘have a nice day’!
It always takes such a huge amount of effort to get out with the kids, but as long as there is coffee nearby and a dance to contain the wild one, I am happy!!
We love taking our two girls to visit nanny and poppy. They live on acreage so our 2.5 year old can run until her hearts content then jump on the tramp, and our 11 month old enjoys pulling up the grass and exploring.
Right now because Grace is so little my ‘out and about’ tends to be going for walks and going to the shops but my fave is taking her to my husbands cricket games! She’s too little to know what’s going on but I like that we’re starting to form the beginnings of what will be her memories of childhood. Also I just love showing her off to everyone else there. She’s pretty damn adorable and definitely draws a crowd!!
I love taking my boys on ‘adventures’. During the holidays we caught the bus to the city every Wednesday and wandered through the Jan Powers farmers market and picked out our lunch which we took down the road to the Brisbane Botanic Gardens for a picnic before a play in the playground until their Daddy finished work. It works every time!! (except for the day it poured rain and we ended up getting back on the bus and going home…)
We love going to the city to explore or we go on adventures to small towns to Che k out the parks, skate park and local bakery 🙂
Great prize – love Rafferty’s (as does my 2 year old daughter!) Our favourite outing together is to swing by the local coffee shop, she has a milkshake, I have a coffee, then we pile into the car and drive to the local park, which has a ridiculously huge sandpit. We dig the beach buckets and spades out of the boot and make ALL the sand castles. I must admit it’s my favourite outing as we can both work on something together, see the results, and then have the satisfaction of knocking them down and starting again 🙂

On the weekend we escape suburbia and go on short road trips out of town. We pack the kids, whatever snacks are in the pantry and my crochet. Daddy drives, we sing a few songs and look at cows. Even if we don’t have a destination and the 7 yr old shouts ‘left’ or ‘right’ it’s still a perfect day.
My baby still travels with me everywhere I go, to work to the shops and all over sydneu as he or she wont enter the world to April. But they will be enjoying daily walks with mumma when they arrive as we live in a beautiful part of sydney with plenty of parks, walking tracks and wildlife. I would be lying if i said i didnt enjoy raffertys and found them super tasty when i could eat nothing but puree food when recovering from wisdom teeth surgery and i know my neice and nephew love them too.
I like walking to the park with my twin girls. They chat to each other in the pram and get home nice and sleepy 🙂

Levi and I love getting out and about with our mummy’s group. All the lil bubbas love catching up and the mummas get a dose of some well deserved adult conversation. We love our “village” of women helping each other raise our beautiful children.
I love taking my boys (age 7 & 6 months) anywhere there is water. beach, pool or river any type of water they love it.
My son Jayden and I love going to our local duck pond to watch them run and fly. Also jayden is obsessed with cars so really jayden just loves getting out and about anywhere to watch the cars go past
We love taking our 2.5 year old to watch the trains. Whilst it’s not Thomas, he still loves trains in all shapes. Seeing him get excited about Sydney trains makes my everyday commute to work seem less of a chore.
We take our 3 year old (and his new sister) to the Melbourne Zoo at least once a week. We live about 10 minutes away so it’s a no brainer.
The little guy has set routines and MUST stop at the elephants and lions for snacks. Always thinking about his next meal, just like his mum 😉
I love taking my baby Niece on walks in her wrap. I love watching her excitement when she sees a bird or dog! She really lights up my world 🙂
Trying different parks. Gives my son the opportunity to explore whilst being outside (his favourite thing). I just love watching the excitement on his face when he figures out he can tackle a new part of the playground alone.
One of our toddlers favourite outings is to pick up daddy from work. Daddy’s building is on the Brisbane river, and she loves watching the City Cats (“Tiger boats”) and the rowers. Spotting towers normally results in multiple renditions of “row, row, row your boat”… sometimes the whole drive home ?
My 2 kids and I lo e to get out and about to my parents farm! It’s not an easy task as they live 7 hours away (so it always involves lots of planning and plenty of food) but to see the looks of joy on the kids faces as they have fun and learn about a different lifestyle makes it more than worth it!
I love being anywhere out & about with my family! Currently in week 7 of a 9 week road trip around western nsw, Victoria, sa, act & coastal nsw!! Loved every minute of it because my family are my favourite human beings!!
My 4yo daughter and I love the outdoors and she’s always on the go! She’s full of energy and her love of adventure makes anyone be young at heart again. Picnics are a must on our adventures, from yogurts to fruit, at each adventure we are eating and pretending it’s something different, dinosaur eggs anyone? We have the most beautiful wild and natural park across the road from our house. Our daily walk is always a new adventure, where my daughter gets to climb trees, splash in the creek, clamber over rocks and collect sticks and leaves. My newborn enjoys the filtered shade from the towering gum trees while being worn on my chest, our dog runs free and has a swim, and my girl gets to explore her very own little piece of wild bushland. It’s heavenly and always gives me the chance to breathe and enjoy my surroundings.
My 2 year old and my bump love to get out and about to our local lake to feed the ducks, play on the playground and then wander around (or in her case run around) out beautiful gardens. Then we all come home for a nap! With a new baby on the way I def need a new nappy bag to carry (two of) everything!
I’m not sure yet… First baby due in April! Hoping they like going to the beach as that’s where we love to get out and about too. xxx

My son just loves being outdoors!! He loves to go to the lake to feed the “quack quacks”. He spends the whole time running and exploring. This out and about pack would be perfect for when his baby brother or sister makes their arrival next year. And I love raffertys, my only choice!

Beach!! Beach is our go too happy place. With 4 kids rangeing from 9years to 6 months, it’s the place that everyone can agree on! We swim,we dig, we collect treasures..we scoop handfuls of sand from our crutches. We sit and watch the sunset with our cocktails! Bahahahaha!( one can dream). Daylight savings dinners at the beach are the bomb dignity! No clean up!

As the mother of 4mo and 6yo boys the answer is easy, anywhere ……but the shops which is mr6’s absolute least fav place to go in the world ever!!!
Stop by Greenmount to bottle it’s jade allure. Zip around to Snapper and fill our body with it’s salt sprayed energy. Climb to Pt Danger see the view of the ocean before running down to marine parade for some Galileo’s pizza on the rocks.
With a 6 month old anywhere really. Last week we were ladies who lunched. This week she came to mu chemotherapy session with me. She enjoyed the beeping pumps and all the nurses. I probably enjoyed our lunch dates last week more.
We love to get out and about, sometimes to nana’s to see the chickens but our favourite place is Queen’s park in Ipswich. Mummy can grab a coffee, bubba can play in the park then a stroll through the animal park before heading home for a nap!
My very social 9 month old loves to catch up with other babies at Playgroup, but her favourite would be Storytime at the Library. She LOVES a good story!
I take my step son on ‘adventures’ we live close to bushland and he loves his bush adventures. I give him a little bucket and a list of ‘treasures’ to find. I love how excited he gets when he finds things off the list. Gets him out and about in the fresh air and works his mind a bit too!
I take my two girls to an indoor rock climbing gym. My two year old flies up the walls, I hold the rope for her and her baby sister watches on absolutely fascinated! Talk about working up an appetite!!
We like to head to the beach in winter (no stingers) and the lake the rest of the year. We’re all water babies here and love a good adventure.
I love popping to work with my little lady. She seems to be in her element there. She loves having cuddles with everyone and is happy to be passed around like a parcel. She giggles with delight and will happily sit on my lap as I type. It slightly eases my Mumma guilt about having to do work on my day off.
My bump and I love doing our exercise classes and when bump is born in Feb hopefully she’ll love going for long walks in the pram and playing at the beach.
My eldest daughter has some pretty severe anxiety issues so going out as a family is near impossible at the moment. One of the only places we can still all go to and enjoy is the beach. Plenty of space for her to feel safe and so calming and wonderful for us all. We call it our ‘beach therapy’.
We like to be outdoors whether it be in our yard or at a park. It’s important for them to get out & be active. My 2.5yo just doesn’t stop! Sleeps after a good outdoor session are the best!
We are always trying to go on little adventures – whether it is exploring the local creek, heading to the beach or even just playing in the park. My little 3 year old is so inquisitive and just loves nature – we try to explore as often as possible.
We love being outdoors and exploring new places. We live in far north qld so have some amazing beaches, parks, creeks and rainforests to have a picnic. Our favourite is somewhere my little man can ride his bike and our puppy can join us.
THE BEACH!, something just resets after swimming in the salt water and playing in the sand. As a family we play and laugh and its just good for the soul.
Anything that involves nature, we love the beach, bush, lakes etc. We are always going on little nature trips and my kids love getting dirty and exploring what is around them.

I have a 2.5 year old and am pregnant with our second child. We like to go to the zoo, parks all over the city and to the botanic gardens.Outdoors is the best at the moment but as the heat rises we’ll be looking for aircon and shade so the museums and galleries might be more attractive again.
Miss 7 months loves anywhere she can people watch… at the moment we need to Christmas-shop up a storm so Westfield is her go to people watching, friend making destination.
Greenwell Point is a fave for a shake date, play on the swings and slippery dip and a stroll to dip our feet in at the water for Miss 2.5 and Master 9 months!
We love the little park out near the old Shorncliffe Pier, here in Brisbane. It has all the kids love, swings, slides and stuff, plus bbq area, seating, and beach!
Coffee at the lovely Kafe @ Chelsea with my mumma friends followed by a walk in the sand at Chelsea beach. Nothing beats coffee, good company and nature.

We love to take advantage of our membership and proximity to the zoo and spend a morning/afternoon at the zoo. We always visit my sons favorites which are the elephants/tigers and seals.

We love taking our kids down to the park where we got married. There is an awesome paddle pool and swing set my daughter loves. And also a cafe so hybby and I can buy extra strong coffee!
My favourite place to take my 2 kids is the beach. We swim, we play, we build sand castle and dig out seats, explore rock pools and generally enjoy time together.
I love to take my 4 children to different playgrounds and parks. We love to discover new and exciting places.
We like to get out and about all over the place; playground, park, cafe, zoo… As far as my nappy bag will allow me to pack for. But with a Mimco, we can pack even more and go even further; no more tantrums because we have to go home, the bag is big enough to be out all day, and in style!
I love to get out and about with my little bubba to our local market. Fresh air, yummy foods, excellent coffee and vibrant inner city vibes. Nothing better 🙂
I like to take my kids to a look out near the airport. They sit in the car and watch the planes landing and taking off in the flight path right over the lookout. Oh and there’s a gelato van there too. So we all enjoy one of those.
We love to go to the Perth Cultural Centre with our kids. There’s always something different to do or learn about!
We love the Melbourne Zoo! We bought a yearly membership, and it’s worth its weight in gold. Having two little ones, they don’t last long walking around, so we can pick which animals we see on each adventure and make the most of a short period of time visiting!
My boy loves to swim, so his perfect outing would be to the pool (beach would be my perfect outing, but we live hourrrrs away).
Other than the pool, we love to visit our local library and playgrounds. 🙂
A five year old, a four year old and a newborn! The place of choice? The bike park! A newly renovated state of the art bike park has just opened, its our fave. The best bit? Theres a coffee shop. 🙂
If we haven’t been Christmas shopping lately (I’d like to think I’m getting organized!), we’ve been spending time at our local water play and naturescape playground. It’s amazing! It’s built around some big gum trees, including a sort of treehouse area build up around the trees. Just this morning Miss had fun collecting sticks and leaves, chasing her shadow, playing music on a wooden xylophone, and trying to catch the pigeons, as well as playing with the usual swings and slides. I love seeing her smile light up her face when she discovers something new. ?
I’ve been hunting down all the good playgrounds in our area. They keep my 2 1/2 year old busy and active (and help keep me sane!) Even better if there’s somewhere nearby where I can grab a coffee!

Our out and bout place with the kids is the beach. We have such beautiful coast lines in wa we are extremely lucky. We love to our take our 3 kids & all their cousins to a local play centre, it’s jam packed with inflatable slides, a jungle gym & different sections for all ages. They always have a fantastic time and we are able to join in & be a big kids too!! Hehe!
We love going to the beach with two boys and dog. We try and do it a couple of times a week for fresh air and to explore while burning the extra energy. Its always a quiet trip home 🙂

My little man and I love to go for walks along the paths past the beaches in Newcastle, NSW and then stop on the Newcastle foreshore and share an ice cream
Reegan (7 months) comes everywhere with me! He is so social, he loves meeting new people and charming them with his big blue eyes and big smile. He loves being in nature too, we live opposite some bushland and he loves going for walks there listening to the birds. He loves touching all of the different trees, and this week he got up close and personal with an echidna for the first time! No touching though..
Cranbourne Botanical Gardens. Kids love it! They can run about, check out the different trees and shrubs, feed the ducks, have a snack at the cafe, play on the play equipment and in summer have a splash in the running water feature.
We love being out and about in town or walking around our local park before a play.

My kids come with me everywhere 3rys and 8months, but there favourite places to go are the park, the zoo and granny’s house! She lives on a large property in rural Humpty Doo NT and miss 3 loves watching for birds and wallaby’s while mr 8mnth can be as loud as he likes and dig his feet in the dirt.

my 2 1/2 year old and 7month old go everywhere with me as my partner works away but our favorite places to go is the library for quiet story time together or for a picnic at the park getting out of the house and into nature
We have 3 beautiful children and our eldest just turns 3. Even though it’s hard getting organised at times we still love getting out and about. Our favourite places are the beach and bush walking. In fact anything to do with nature and getting outdoors.
It all about picnics here at the moment! We’ve got lots of parks near us, so we choose a different one each time; pack up some snacks, (make sure Mum’s got a coffee?) and off we go!
We love going to ‘Aunty’ Christine’s house. Her home is on a large block of land and there is bush all around the property for us to explore. So far we’ve found Peter rabbit’s house (except master 4 was concerned his front door was missing), fairies houses, magic toad stools, bear tracks and lots of interesting bugs. It’s a magical place in more ways than one.
Our little clan love going to the Park, Beach, anything outside! Living in a small space has us all out most of the time.
My twins Bailey & Riley (5 months) love to go for a walk to the library to borrow books and attend a babytime play group!
My 8 month and I over to go down to our local park and look at all the lovely flowers, have a play in the grass and feed the duckies some bread!
My husband and I love to take Olivia to the zoo. We have always loved it and she now has an interest in animals too.
My 10 month old cheeky monkey and I head to the park where he loves the feel of the wind on his face while attempting consumption of all the leaves on the ground!
With a 22mth old that needs to be entertained and worn out, we drop the bigger kids at school and do the play group rounds. A different one each morning.

We love to take a drive into Southbank… We can have a picnic, take a swim, watch the city cats on the river, have a play in the new playground and even grab an icecream or go to max brenner before we head home.
My 6 month old daughter loves coming into work with me, my dad and i own a candy kitchen so she gets to come for a ride with mommy and visit grandpa. We then go out into the park next to our shop and share lunch on the waterfront. Our customers love her as she’s always full of smiles.
Evie my 9mths old loves to go to the creek and the beach she comes looking for jabbies so her daddy can go fishing anything involving being out in the big world and she is a happy little bundle of joy

As a mum of 6 including two sets of twins youngest being 7mths – we love outdoor activity’s going for walks to the local big parks or meeting up with friends on the weekends for coffee & play. With my kids, I love to get out and about anywhere that we can lay in the grass and make pictures out of cloud shapes! My 7 year old son loves pointing out different shapes to his 10 month old sister, and she loves climbing all over us both while we do so. There is no sweeter sound on earth than hearing your children laugh together 🙂
My Harry bear and I love to go on adventures! He is 11 months old and we just love having new experiences. Tonight we saw fireworks for the first time and met Santa! We had a magical time.
My baby and I love to get out, going for walks, going for lunches to Cafes with friends. On the weekend we go out as a family, it makes it so easy when you can just pack a raffertys meal as its so quick and healthy, no fuss as there is always such s big selection of flavours.
Her favourite trips are when we head out to visit her grandparents or her great-grandfather! (& their animals!)

We have just arrived in Thailand with our kids miss 10mths and mr 11 going on 21! We have replicated little miss’ swimming lesson in the hotel pool and are eagerly waiting for her to wake so we can strap her in the carrier and go exploring! At home we love outdoor exploring to the beach/bush near our home on the Central Coast 🙂

We live on a farm so my little one loves getting out and about and visiting all the animals. She squeals with delight when we step outside and greet the dogs; she tries to pat the chooks and loves feeding the pigs. Her favourite though is the new foal. We take Rafferty’s when we go in the ute with Dad because you never know when a job will pop up and turn a half hour drive into a two hour drive!

We love spending all day outdoors, this can be going to the park/zoo or just playing in the courtyard watering the plants (and munching on the blueberries and tomatoes we are growing).
Mr hypo, can’t sit still, 2 and a half needs to get out and about in the fresh air everyday. So with Miss 7 months, I eat everything in sight, in tow, we check out all the local parks to explore our favourite play and picnic spots!
My girls (2&5) like to come out into our garden and back yard to help me. We get dirty and right into nature. We discover bugs and beetles, slugs and snails, birds and bats, weeds and worms. I teach them about gardening and growing their own food. And instill in their hearts the knowledge that everything has intrinsic value.
We also like to walk up the road 2km to see the local Horses, Cattle and the Grey Kangaroos that come out at dusk.
We love to go gymbaroo! Aidan love meeting new friends at gymbaroo and all the activities helped him to developed.
I love going to playgroup. We meet up with friends (both the kids & mine). The grown ups chat & the kids play. We share morning tea. The kids do art (the big messy stuff I don’t do at home). Sometimes we take excursions. It has been a great support tool in my parenting journey.

Our little dude Henry (14 months) goes everywhere with us but his favourite is going out to breakfast and then for a walk along the bean and a play in the playground. We do it every Saturday after swimming and he giggles and gets so happy 🙂

We love to go down to the Bay Run and take a walk. The bay is a 7km circuit so hubby and I walk and the kids scooter. We all get a bit of exercise, enjoy the sunshine and being by the water is always relaxing.
Local adventure parks especially with water features! We will be trying to explore some new ones these holidays. My four kiddies love running about like crazy and then cooling off. Keeps the eldest off the computer games too!!
My 17 month old grandson loves to go to the local park daily with his Mum and Dad to feed the ducks, geese and all the other birds that come along. He takes a whole loaf of bread to feed them and they are so friendly they come right up so that he can actually touch them. He shivers with delight.

We have varying ages in our house! From an almost 11 year old, 5 year old and my 11 month old (my baby is about to be 1!!). We find anything water related: beach, pools, the waterfalls for a bush walk – the kids love! We also love hitting up all the local markets and supporting small local business owners. The kids love shopping (like their Mum) and there is always some free outdoor activities for the kids to take part in!
Out and about with the kids? You’re joking, right? Just the thought fills me with dread! But seriously, we are very blessed to live on a rural property which means that any outing is always an adventure!
Beach babe family all the way here. We even have towels and bathers in a bag in the boot for those spontaneous beach visits!
I’m a MOB (mum of boys) and out about every day is my life ?
I am a first time mum and have a 5 month old daughter, so getting out-and-about was a bit daunting to me at first. So much to organise, pack & worry about, just for a trip to the supermarket. However, I’m slowly pushing this ‘feeling’ aside and conquering the world…well, not the world, I mean the furtherest we have ventured is 45mins to a few towns away for some Christmas shopping but it feels like a win to me! So Maeve & I like to venture out to anywhere with good coffee, good shops, and of course a good change room, as of course, there is always poo!
We like to get outside the best. We do t have a yard so we hang in the park a lot. The kids go a bit mental if they can’t run around for a bit. If it’s rainy we take them to museums or the art gallery. We are lucky living in Sydney – lots of choices!
My two little boys (Ben ,4, and Ollie, 2) love going to our local library, the park and our absolute favourite a trip into the city to the art museum and the science museum. My boys are super active, and I wouldn’t have them any other way…. Although sometimes when I’m sick I wish they would slow down lol. My youngest, Ollie, is potty training (Yikes!!) so always packing several sets of clothes is a must and my oldest has a special knack for finding all things dirty and that involve water 🙂 so extra clothes for him are a must too.
Bubba is 8 months old and LOVES the water and is becoming a social butterfly so the local pool is our new favourite hang out ? “Eyes in!”
there are lots of places my son enjoys but his absolute favourite is out back in our garden, he would spend all day and probably night exploring and looking for bugs, birds and aeroplanes! we draw and paint and he plays on his swing and slide and is at his happiest when in the garden.
Toby and I love to go to the zoo in Canberra and see all the animals!
we’ve been itching to take our son to his great grandmothers down the coast! We’ve locked it in for Boxing Day this year and it’ll be his first time at the beach too!
My 7 month old son Sebastian and I like to get out and about every day. Whether it be a walk, a cafe, baby sensory class or mothers group catch ups he is always engaged in what we are doing and the people around him.
The parks here in town are so beautiful, but our favourite place to get out and about has to be the beach. So much to explore and always fun.
We love to get out and about at the turtle playground at Bargara. There is a big turtle for the kids to climb through and a beautiful grassy spot for picnics and bbqs close by so a family lunch is simple!
As I work mostly full time hours the weekends are always very busy. We love catching up with friends & family and swimming as often as we can, either at the local beach, the local pool or at home.
Living in the northwest of Australia can make it pretty hard to get out and about with my little miss in tow due to the heat! But I make the most of our eternal summer and we are regularly down the beach, having a splash in the water with her is the best! And once she is walking we will be able to explore the rock pools together!
We love being spontaneous while shopping for a light fitting mr 4 said he wanted to go on a boat so we caught the ferry sometimes we get in the car and decide on the way lots of memories

I take my two little ones to the park near gosford yacht club and also to I inflatable land. They just love it. My 2 year old also loves rafferties garden products and screws her nose up at my puréed so I must confess I didn’t make it as one of those mums who make it myself either :-). This prize would be fantastic and keep my little ones going with smiles 🙂
Campbell and i love getting our bikes and heading to the local park. It has a great kid friendly hill which he loves roaring down. Not so great for Mummy who has to push the bike up that hill. Again …. and again!!
I only have fur babies who love going to the park or to their Nanny’s house.
However, my twin nephews will be born before NYE, and I can’t wait to take them to Taronga zoo when they can appreciate it (actually who cares, I’ll probably take them there lots before they even understand hehe )
My boys have their favourite tree just infront of our house, in the communal garden. It’s their perfect escape, for when we can’t go too far from the house (when my daughter is sick & hubby is sitting with her for a bit). Boys & girls in nature, the best!
My 2 boys are completely different yet so similar it makes us laugh. One will eagerly go to the shops with you to get hot chips or a lollipop and the other will get you to play some type of sport or videogame with him. We go down to the beach at sunset, splashing around finding shells/driftwood and getting wet n sandy and other days we are in our garden exploring, learning, planting food and getting muddy!! The joys of boys ?

My almost 6 months Archer loves going to baby time at the library. He absolutely loves singing and dancing to all the songs and playing with rhe other babies.
I like to take my kids to the park or pool or to visit family mostly. Even just playing in the backyard is fun 🙂 my youngest loves fire trucks so if there’s ever an open day at the fire station or an event on that the fire truck will be at we try to go 🙂

I like to take my girls to see family; especially my grandparents. My girls adore their great-grandparents (and vice versa) and it fills my heart to bursting to see the kooky, special bond they share. I’ve spent up big on taking them to fancy attractions and theme parks, but it’s priceless to see their little faces light up just chilling with their great nonno and great nonna.

We live in a very small country town in the New England area. Every Wednesday, my nearly 3 month old daughter Bexley and I go on an adventure to the closest town (1hr away) that has what I call ‘real shops’ (something other than an IGA)! We love our ‘babe dates’ especially when we have lunch in the park together and feed the ducks! She must think ducks are hilarious because all she does is smile and laugh at them! It’s a weekly tradition that I never want to end!
We love going on weekend family drives, we never know where we will end up, turning left or right with our whim on the day. We normally stop at a park, a cafe, a stream or a tourist attraction, but we always need plenty of snacks for those days we end up in the middle of nowhere!
After walking my eldest to school, my youngest (in the pram) and I like to stop at parks or playgrounds on the way home. We can walk numerous ways to get home. My youngest likes to pick up stones and flowers every time so we have a huge selection of these at home. I enjoy just watching her explore and the excitement she gets when she sees a “new” stone to take home. We sometimes do this in the afternoon on the way home when we have my eldest too
We are very lucky that we live close to the city and can walk to a LOT of excellent places. The tricky part is loading up the pram with everything we need for an all day adventure! We are having lots of fun exploring the galleries, parks, zoo, cafes and many many other exciting places our city has to offer
It’s harvest time here at home, so if you wonder where we love to roam, it’s out to the paddock to the tractor to ‘help’ Daddy work, (for life on the farm that’s out biggest perk!)
Our little girl Hannah is now a big ten weeks old. Our favourite outings at the moment (aside from to the grandies) are to our favourite coffee shop and then for a stroll down our Main Street, along the beachfront and back. Soon though it will be to the beach and over to Grandma and Poppy’s for swims!

We live on remote Kangaroo Island, so getting out and about for us as a family of five (our three little humans are aged 10, 7 and 4) includes exploring National Parks, day trips to the beach to walk, snorkel, bodyboard and build giant sandcastles. And when we need to, we jump on the ferry to head to the mainland to explore, shop and do all the things we can’t do on the Island!
Other friend’s places. Reasons include new toys to play with, it’s much cooler inside than outside in Qld, toilets, taps, coffee, and we know the kids are safe and aren’t going to run off if we turn our heads for more than a minute.
My son and I love to go to the local botanical gardens to explore and discover the different animals and flowers. There is always so much to for both my son and I!
Our favourite place to get out and about is our local organic farmers market, early on a Saturday morning. Originally it was our top place to escape to after a tough night at home with a newborn, we could buy giant coffees and do laps of the markets while our little man would sleep in the pram. Now, we’re much better rested but we still bring our toddler to the markets as we love the coffee and he loves looking at the produce and sampling what’s on offer!
I’m currently pregnant with our first bub. I’m dreaming and looking forward to walks around our local lake, picnics at the beach and strolls to the coffee shop for a babychino!
Sierra my 7 month old loves coming to mum and bubs yoga and exercise classes. She is involved in all the exercises and has a ball while mum gets much needed exercise!
My Kids and I love hands on science museums. So far they have been to the Powerhouse in Sydney, Questacon in Canberra, Scienceworks in Melbourne and SciTech in Perth. We all have a ball
My kids (12yo and 3yo) are wtih me 24/7. We love getting out and about on our property, riding bikes and horses. We love getting out and about in town (50km drive) at the park, library and local art galleries. We also love exploring our local national parks.
I am a first time Mumma to 5 week old twins (boy & girl), so my outings are still quite limited on my ownl, but I loved going to our local markets on the weekend with my Husband and our babies. Buying lots of homemade products and just enjoying the fresh air. Even though it was only for a couple of hours, it felt amazing to be out of the house – nothing better to clear the mind! It’s also secretly awesome to receive all of the lovely comments from strangers! ?
Since my baby girl was 6 weeks old we go out every day for mummy’s health. We have had many coffee dates, park dates, discos, mothers group, you name it and when are giving it a try. My little girl now 8 months loves being out and social. Such a great little personality. Being a full time mum is amazing!
My almost 7month old son and I go out to a different coffee shop every week! Its like our little date day. Depending on the weather as well, we go to a park lay down a blanket and enjoy just being outside. My little one loves being outside and sometimes it can be quite hard with weather. So instead of being cooped up inside all the time this is what we like to do ?
We go everywhere and anywhere! This year we explored Laos, Bali and Penang next up Japan!!!! We do this with three kids one who uses wheels and big appetites for adventure!

I have 3 children aged 6, 5 & 3. We love being outdoors, whether it be playing at the park, swimming in the river or playing down at our new water park, we love being out in the sun soaking up some much needed vitamin D!

I just love to see the excitement on my 3yos face and hear the squeals of laughter as she runs in and out of the waves with Sandy (our dog) and they both chase the poor seagulls until they both collapse on the sand, little girl in fits of laughter and dog slobbering big kisses all over her. I take my little one everywhere, except to 18+ places! I love introducing her to the world and all my friends and getting her adjusted to life outside the home. Plus our home is a shoebox and we both go batty staying in for too long! Our favourite places to go to are the zoo and the park! She loves her animals.
Everywhere and anywhere. It’s all a new and fun experience when you take your children. The park is a lot of fun because then we get to take our dog too, which they love.
I love to take the girls anywhere that does a babycino – their poison! Lately our place of choice is Stickybeaks cafe in Kings Park where there are fantasticly huge playground/climbing frame/sandpit areas and even a stage for their ‘talent shows’ 🙂
Im a recently single mum of four children aged 11yrs, 9yrs, 2yrs and 12weeks i love taking my children to activities we can do together at the moment their favorite is putt putt golf as they love betting their mummy. I love every second spent with them and miss them so much when they go to visit their dad but no he missed them as much as i do when they are with me.
Since before our boy was born I spent summer days pregnant with him by the pool & walking along the creek – he always wriggled around by the water. Now the warm weather has returned, he’s loving being by the water again – we’ve already worn in our local pool membership. Maybe we need another trip to the beach (wink wink Dad)…
I am a crazy Aunty and lucky enough to watch my niece Miss Gracie once a week. We love going anywhere outdoors, and I am the crazy adult you see on the play equipment, as she’s doesn’t want “lonely play” so I join her and I love it, we are both so happy being crazy and having fun.
As a treat we sometimes get our nails done.
We love loud and noisy places for lunch where we can fit it, yum cha with the noisy rolling cart is a winner.
As a kid I always wanted adults to actually spend time with me and I am lucky I am able to offer this on on one time with such a beautiful girl.

I take my son Peter to lunch with mother’s group and their babies, which can be a picnic in the park or going to a play centre that serves coffee for the adults.
I’m a first time mum and always on the go go go! My little man loves the water so we go swimming or we might go and throw bread to the ducks in the park for a bit of mummy and son time in the sun. Raffertys garden are his favourite brand too he’s a big fan of the spinach, Apple and pea version and ALWAYS eats the whole thing no problems, anything else he tends to turn his nose up!
I like taking my son for walks around the park and then pushing my son on the swings and letting him play on the equipment. He loves crawling up and down the slide. It’s shady and cool even on a hot day. It’s lovely and peaceful we both have such a great time. 🙂
Hello. We love to go any where to get out of the house in between school and kinder with a 7, 5 and 18 month old it’s crazy, but the park, swimming walks an ice cream or the library and a coffee is always near the top of the list. Loving the bag,mine has seen better days after 7 years.
My daughter and I love going to the park to play. Another favourite is going out for coffee and babycino’s. Basically anywhere that my toddler can run around is amazing in her book!
Anywhere in this beautiful city of Sydney, he especially loves water parks for babies, the zoo and anywhere with a slide 🙂 so many places to choose from. We are really spoilt for choice.
A babychino at our favourite Finbox and then a trip to the park. Soon they’ll have to share me with their new baby brother.
My little girl and I picnic on the pre-school lawn out front while we wait for big brother to finish. There is a big beautiful weeping tree she lays under and watches sway in the wind. A few of the lower ones tickle her… or is that mum. Then a bird lands and she giggles madly. Our other favourite is the hot springs. We take dips in the cool water between feeds and sit watching the wildlife in the dappled sunlight.
My partner enjoys taking our 1 year old twins to do the rent and groceries (at woolworths) and getting the Raffertys meat and veg pouches. We are yet to try the Yoghurt ones. I enjoy taking them to the Parks For a swing and slide 🙂
I am pregnant with our first child. We can’t wait to take our bubba for strolls along the beach as a newborn, and plan outings with buckets and towels and cute swimsuits as they get older. We want for future him or her to grow up loving the feel of sand between their toes. The beach is mine and my husbands happy place so we are hoping our wee one loves it too. We may be sorely mistaken and he or she may detest the beach! I can’t wait to know their happy place and take them there.
I get out & about with my 20mth old by catching up with my girlfriends & their bubs. We either go shopping, playdates at each other’s houses or to the park. It’s all about our kids, their just so precious & we love seeing them happy & enjoying life.

My husband and i love taking our daughter Mackenzie to the park whenever we can on the weekend, she has just started to learn to run so chasing her around and watching her explore and grow is just a wonderful experience. She is very social so enjoys the interaction with other children.

We love anywhere you can get to by car! My 10 month old son has recently become forward facing, and he loves to babble about all the things he can see. It’s also a great tantrum diffuser, and nap time enforcer.
We love going to the park and watching the ducks swim and play . My little girl loves feeding the ducks . We also love going to the pool and the beach willow is 11 months old and loves being outside ☺
I love going out and about with my four kids( 14, 10, 6, 1) to parks and playgrounds the kids love running around meeting other kids and burning off their energy!
When we go to the park or playground we also like to take a packed lunch or afternoon tea so the raferty’s garden yogurts are going to come in very handy !!

I have a 5 & a half month old who loves his solids, especially yoghurt, so I’m stoked Rafferty’s have brought out a range (do you know how hard it is to find yoghurt without added sugar??)
Our favourite outings are visits with our other Mama and bubba friends or if miss 6 is home, the playground 🙂
Our absolute favourite “out and about” location is the closest national park/walking trail where we sit in the lunch area eating a picnic lunch of home fried chicken, salads and fresh chopped fruit and watching the wildlife. With the beautiful grassy area, it’s great for an exploring 9 month old and an enthusiastic 6 year old. We follow this with a loop of the walking track where we can sit by the rock pools and river and check out some of the hidden waterfalls.
I am a lucky mumma to 1 little boy we love to get out and enjoy the outdoors. We love to spend family time down at the beach or having picnic’s in the beautiful national parks. If we are really lucky we get to go out 4 wheel driving and park up next to a good fishing spot for dad. Needless to say we get outdoors every chance we get to enjoy everything mother nature has to offer.
We love to take our four month old daughter to local park-Burwood Park. Or Iron Cove where I can run with Bub too.
The last few weeks my two boys and I have been practically living at the beach. On our last trip we all swam out to the pontoon and spent all morning jumping off it. It was a day I think I’ll remember for the rest of my life and I hope my boys do too!! 🙂
I love taking my two kiddos out to the beach. Just minutes from home, we love playing in the sand, walking along the path, rolling down the grassy hill and sitting at the cafe overlooking the water while enjoying a bowl of hot chips!
I love walks through the park with my 5 month old twins-watching the ducks swimming by and the wind blowing around the trees. Nothing beats nature-I get some much needed exercise, we all get some fresh air and the twins are full of giggles! My favourite part of being a mum is making my little boy and little girl smile!
We go Geocaching, out and about walking and getting fresh air and sunshine and fun treasure hunting as well!
I have a 6 month old daughter and we love to go everywhere together. Our favourite place to go is the cafe for girly time, mum has a cappucino and bubs has a raffetys garden yoghurt. I wouldnt feed her anything else she loves all the varieties.
I had a 6 moth old boy who loves nothing more then going to the race track he love the sound of the cars and if we can not get to the track then the next best thing is to go to his dads work shop and sit in the race cars.
I love taking my baby girl Natalie to Mummy bootcamp on Monday and Wednesday mornings! There she plays with all the kids, big and little while mummy works off her (mostly big) tummy and (mostly little) frustrations in the fresh air! Afterwards we play in the park before it’s of home for a nap (sometimes for the two of us!!)
We head out to local cafe for mummy coffee fix while my bub squirts his raffertys garden yogurt daily fix. This is followed by a visit to our local library for rhyme time singing with lots of other mums and bubs in the area.
My daughter loves leaving the house (seriously, is it possible for a nine month old to suffer FOMO and get cabin fever?!). The park is our easy ‘get out’ as it is close by. She can crawl around and pull out the grass and put (EVERYTHING) in her mouth.
My 7 month old likes to venture out anywhere where the breeze blows on her face and through her hair. She gets into this ‘zen’ mode and fully becomes cool, calm and collected. She loves the park which is only a few blocks away, she loves visiting her Nanny and Grandad on their massive property, where she watches the dog, cat and ponies.
She’s a little outdoors fairy and I love watching her explore new things outside in the fresh air 🙂
My 9 month old baby girl likes to head out to where ever she can people watch! Her current favourite activity is to hang out in the bike trailer, behind daddy on his bike, rocking her skater chick helmet. We go cycling all around Adelaide, and she gets to watch the world go by. Then we head to the farmers market and she loves to hang out in the carrier watching everyone do their shopping, while she munches on all the tasters the stall holders have out.

My 11 month old and I love to get out to anywhere we can be loud and messy; from playing in cornflour paint at playgroup or splashing in water at the park; to singing nursery rhymes at the library or playing music instruments at a friend’s house.

I’m a new mum to a 1 year old girl and we love to go out and about to the beaches and parks on the Sunshine Coast. The weather is always beautiful and she loves to play at the beach with her Labrador puppy Marley on the beach!
I love getting out and about with my son at gym, where he can explore and learn his boundaries and limitations. Where he can also run off all the energy he has built up. I can enjoy watching him be an active young boy and be there to acknowledge his achievements.
We love going to Kings Park here in beautiful Perth. There is a fab nature play area for the kids to get dirty! But I too have a couple of Very Hungry Caterpilars, and after playtime, they could munch through all that Saturday food and more! I love the Rafferty’s Garden squeezy packs, but have not tried the yogurts. I’m sure they are equally yum! $250 worth from Woolworths would start to fill my Caterpilars, while mummy looks fab with her Mimco bag!
We try and go for walks with our dog Scoutie each day. My little girl loves to watch Scout walk ahead 🙂

The Royal Botanic Garden, parks, and zoo. My son is an active 5.5 yo + he likes to run around the park, loves the swing & slide. So, park is a great place to go with him.
We love to go fishing, when we get out-and-about, the water is very calming

You’ve asked a question I can’t wait to answer! My husband and I are looking forward to exploring our city through kids eyes from April 2016 when Baby Number 1 arrives. We’re starting to find ourselves driving around saying “oh we should remember this park, it looks great for a party” or “this would be fun for kids to go to”… Neither of us like being cooped up indoors, so we’ll be out-and-about whenever we can!

First time Mum to my gorgeous 8 month old daughter Evelyn Rose! We love heading to Redcliffe Jetty Markets on a Sunday then relaxing on the grass by the beach. Evelyn loves to play in the park with her Dad and since Sundays are his only day off work, we make the most of it 🙂
The Museum! My kids are fascinated with all the animals there, in particular the tigers. Once we get home there is always lots of roaring like a tiger and crawling around the house!
There’s one place I LOVE taking the kids, all by myself. There is an awesome park nearby that is enclosed. No more keeping my eyes on the three kids going in 3 different directions. I may have been known to lose Jordan waiting at school pick up for Autumn. ? Just once!!
So when I’m home with them and tearing my hair out its off to the park we go.
We take our 4 kids everywhere with us. Skatepark, bushwalking, 4wding, movies, bowling etc but their favourite thing to do is family day at the beach. We are ‘that’ family that takes the gazebo, the pram, the esky, multiple body boards and 5 buckets and shovels to the beach. It usually involves a couple of trips to the car and back, but it is worth it when they have so much fun.
My sons favourite place for us to go ‘out and about’ is definitely the zoo. In fact, the other day he gave me the ultimate ultimatum: “Mum you have two choices. One, you can go to the Zoo. Or two, you have to have a nap!” Imagine his surprise when I (37 weeks pregnant) opted for a nap.
I have two boys, a 4yo and a 2yo, so getting out of the house to burn off some energy is mandatory! There are a couple of great Cafes nearby which have awesome playgrounds which we rotate between. Also Nana’s house is close and filled with toys (and the cups of tea are free!), so we visit at least once a week.
It’s getting hot here in Brisbane so we like to head to the pool. My little 1 year old loves the water and it’s a great way for us to share some quality time together while getting him absolutely knackered. In fact today we were at the pool and stopped mid play for a snack which consisted of a Rafferty Garden vege sachet for my sweet wee darling!
I’m a mumma to 6yo and 4yo with another due in February. We’ve got lots planned over the holidays like the library, river, pool, movies, park, science centre and bike rides.
Our favourite thing to do is go on adventures. drive somewhere we havent been before and explore it with no prior planning. My hubby works weekends so its just me and the 3 girls. its our girls day and we love it! taking random photos and singing really loud to taylor!

I have an almost 2 year old (2 on the 23rd) and a 3 month old. Daily outings are a must for us so Miss 2 can burn some energy. We usually head down to our local botanical gardens. The playground is very toddler friendly so I don’t have to worry too much about climbing and falling. There is a veggie patch to water, ducks to look at and a bird avary full of parrots and best of all its all enclosed and away from roads so I can pop bub in the ergo and run a muck with little miss to ensure she has her lunch time nap/mummy rest time!
On the weekends we like to get out and about at caravan parks up the Sunny Coast. We love taking our 4 month old here for little family outings either at the beach, coffee shops or the park. One awesome thing about caravan parks is that the grey nomads love to see little babies, so it brings a joy to their stay aswell 🙂
My three year old is a total outdoor girl. Beach, park, cafe – if she’s out and about outside then LIFE. IS. GOOD. Since her birth, keeping an awesome bag packed with all the things we needed to race out the door was an absolute must and my saviour! Now with babe number two due in Jan, we’re gearing up for nappy bag packing and super organised outdoor activities all over again – and I couldn’t be more excited. Doing it with raffertys and this amazing pack would make it all the sweeter.

The market is my favourite place to take my little man. It’s fun, loud, and full of healthy food. We often go just so he can pick out the fruit for the week.

I’m a mama to 3 boys, 8, 4 & 2. As you can imagine they have a lot of energy to burn so we love going anywhere that is outside! We have just moved from Tassie to QLD for work & lifestyle! Yesterday we took the boys to Redcliffe lagoon & it was amazing! I’m pretty sure that is going to be a hot spot for us over summer & anywhere that has a park is a winner in our books too!
Our family ranges in age group with one of my older babies leaving home.. We do family dinner night every second Thursday night and on the alternate Sunday we do a family day out… its usually down the beach…
With 3 boys (4,2 and 5 months) down times the answer to that question is just ANYWHERE! But mostly I just love the times when daddy is home and we get outside and have some family time. Our night time birthday bushwalk for our 4 year old was probably my favourite outing this year ?

Every Sunday is “Sunday Mumday fun day” as husband works. I try and do something different each week.. It gets hard! This Sunday I am taking my 5 and 3 year old blueberry picking! Found a sweet local farm that lets you pick your blueberries to take home! Hoping the owners don’t mind a few blue mouths as I am sure we will all try a few before we fill out bucket!
We love the beach! Any weather and you’ll find us there either swimming, playing in the sand, exploring the rock pools or having afternoon tea watching the surf from our car in the rain.
It’s Melbourne-centric but I love to take my fambam to the Collingwood Children’s Farm. It’s a wonderful community venture and the kids have a ball there every time we visit!
We like to keep it local and get in some exerciae with parks, library and walks bringing a morning tea or picnic lunch. I have two girls, 3 and 2 and a 4 month old boy so times are busy and fresh air helps me keep my balance.

We love our family trips to the zoo. 3 kids (4.5, 3 and 16 months) – there is something for all of us. The kids love the animals. I love that the kids love the animals as much as I do. And our picnic lunches on the lawn while we are there are a highlight too! They love a good picnic. And if it’s not at the zoo, it’s at the park!!
In this weather, definitely the park! The kids get to burn some energy and it’s not too hot to be outside yet so we are making the most of our awesome local parks!
The beach!! Any beach!! We travelled around Australia 2 years ago and when we remember the great times, it always involves a beach location. We gravitate there whenever we can, we love the sea, the fresh air, white sand and fossicking for treasures!
We love to get out and about to visit family! With having a son with Autism & sensory needs I t limits our ability to find the right places to go that will be ok for him and us, and also with 2 other little ones who want to go in every direction!
Family is the most important and best place to visit!
I like to go to a place where noise is no issue, but there is still plenty to look at. Somewhere where it’s easy to push a pram, but not too narrow that we can’t squeeze through. Somewhere where there are bins (no body wants to carry a poo around in their handbag all afternoon). A place where there is fresh air, but shops in case I forget wipes (obviously this happens too much). Where there is free entertainment for my kids, but not overcrowded with other children and germs and that about sums it up. Its a fantasy. But in the meantime, we’ll stick to parks and beaches.
I love taking my kiddos to gymnastics- they have so much fun! It’s so fun watching them run around – and great for me too, they burn off so much energy they have a nice long nap when we return home 🙂
We just moved from Sydney to Adelaide. Kids love the beach. Ever time we get in the car my 2yr old screams for WATERRR!! Gets us out of the house and its exercise too bonus!
At the moment we love going to the river. My 3yro and my 9 month old love it!! Picnic, floaties and beach toys has my little ones (and my large one) occupied for hours… and i can get a moment to myself usually.
I must say I hate having to do a proper shop with kids hanging along BUT it is sometimes fun to take them for a quick “let’s buy snacks or treats” shop. Expensive though.
My kids love a good park or playground. Take some water, snacks, hats, balls etc and they will play for hours.
Our all time fave outing is simply to head down to our local cafe for a coffee (big people only, little people have juice or milk shakes) and some scrumptious cake. It’s our go to sanctuary, our home away from home, where we go to hang out and feel special. The kids love it!!
We are lucky enough to live close by the Victorian State Rose Garden, it’s a landscaped flower filled heaven. Perfect for picnics, hide and seek, and tumbling down the grassy hills. And the smell of all those roses in spring and summer… ahhhhhh. We visit as much as we can.
We live in a small country town 3 hours south of Perth so my son Oscar (9 months) and I go into town nearly every day. Oscar is a social butterfly with a contagious smile so it takes us a good couple of hours to get our jobs done as Oscar loves to say hi to everyone and everyone loves to say hi to him. We also usually go to the cafe where my sister works and have a coffee with her while she is on her break and once again Oscar is the highlight of everyone’s day.
We like spending every Saturday and some Sundays going to garage sales, we drive around to up to 30 garage sales each week, we talk and look around at different places/things on the way. We have met some lovely people and found some great bargains. Its a hobby of ours were we get out and about as a family.
Our favourite outing is to our farm. We have an old horse we care for. We have been teaching our 5 year old about the importance of connecting with and caring for animals. I’m 8 month pregnant and the only time baby really settles is when we are grooming and talking to the horse.
I love taking my little ones (3, 8 & 10) to the museum. They are so curious about everything!
And with a new baby only a few weeks away from joining our family, they’ll have plenty of knowledge to share ??
I have a 3 year old and a 5 month old. Our favourite place to get out is in the royal national park. There is this little beach which is nice and shallow, fresh (ish) water and it’s just so serene and natural. My daughter can be an ‘explorer’, Mr 5 months can happily laze in the shade and I can go between the 2! Perfect on a stinking hot day!
I quite enjoy getting to my local farmers markets with my 3 and 5 year old. As trite as it sounds, getting them to help choose our fruit and veg for the week is actually quite satisfying for all of us.
I won’t lie, the jumping castle time at the end while I sit in relative peace with my coffee is also a highlight.
We love checking out the local mumma blog and discovering new parks/playgrounds so far our top ones have been the rocket ship park, the dinosaur park and the pirate ship park 🙂 love taking a picnic lunch or dinner and spending time as a family ♡
ZOO TWIP!!! At least, that’s how my 3 year old announces it. I received a zoo pass for Christmas last year, thinking it would be great fun for my boys (and educational too).

I’m pregnant with our first baby and love taking my bump out and about in this gorgeous Summer weather. When our baby is born I’m so excited to take them to our local park for duck watching, and to our local cafes so mummy can finally get a caffeinated-coffee fix! 😀
I have a two year old and a 3.5 month old baby so getting out-and-about daily is extremely important. We enjoy swimming at the pool, walks in the botanical gardens and playing at our local playground. We also have a very close mothers group and enjoy weekly play dates with them-coffee shops, walks by the lake or other mums houses! I love being out-and-about with my two gorgeous boys!
I am usually seen playing the dance mum, stage left. But it’s not easy with a toddler too! We are out and about at concerts, exams, festivals and competitions! So nice to share in my daughter’s obsession.
We love taking our 17 month old to the park, he loves the swings & slide, even daring to slide down face first ?
Anywhere they can release their crazy! My kids are 6,5 and 1 and there is a lot of crazy in our house. The playground near our home is perfect, it’s just a short walk from home and the kids love it. They can climb, run, swing, see-saw, hopscotch until their little legs can play no more!
We LOVE adventuring and try to go somewhere new as much as possible – we will never see everywhere, but we can sure try!
I’m a mum to a 3 year old little boy and a brand new baby girl so outings are still a bit hard to juggle a the moment. However a few of my sons favourite places to go is his best friends house (yes he already has a BFF who we all adore), the local little zoo or anywhere he can see cars or motorbikes. I, on the other hand, don’t mind where we have to go as long as there is coffee, good friends or lots of smiles involved.

We love enjoying our own backyard! Picnics on the lawn, watching the birds high up in the trees while laying on the trampoline. Who can touch the sky with their feet while on the swings?! And playing hide and seek behind the cubby house! Then it’s only a short toddle inside for 3 weary sets of legs (4 if you include mummy!). xx
I love taking my kids to the park or a play gym. Anywhere they can be themselves, have free play, get creative and burn off some energy, but still stop for snacks and drinks in between imaginations.
My son is 9mths. I like to just get out, whether it’s playgroup or a stroll through bunnings i’ll go anywhere to just get out sometimes. Unless I’m sick like i am atm 🙁

Each day we like to go for walks along the lake, looking at the boats, birds and wildlife. If we don’t see any Dolphins or seals my oldest son (3) tells me they’re sleeping and comes up with the craziest stories about their days. The best outings are the ones that don’t cost you anything but give you the most value
We love taking our 3 kids (5, 2.5 and 4 months) to any and all of the 3 Melbourne Zoos. We really find it’s a wonderful trip which we can do as a family or with friends. I love takong along a pre-packed healthy lunch for everyone and sharing a picnic in amongst our explorations!
Our favourite outings are to the park on sunny days or to our local library once a week for story and rhyme time.

I love taking my baby girl to the beach! She absolutely loves the outdoors especially the beach. And when she feels like a raffertys yoghurt she points to the bag and says “berries” which means a watermelon and strawberry yoghurt!!
