The Best Potato Bake

2kg potatoes, peeled

600ml cream

1 x 40g packet of French Onion Soup Mix

250g tasty cheese, grated


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 170ºC
  2. Using a mandolin (or a knife if you don’t own one, but seriously consider getting on – game changer!), slice the potatoes thinly, and layer them into a baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, combine the cream and French Onion Soup mix. Stir to combine.
  4. Pour over the potatoes, and cover with foil. Place into the oven and bake for 1.5 hours, or until the potatoes are tender and cooked through.
  5. Remove from the oven, take the foil off, and cover with the grated cheese. Place bake into the oven and cook until the cheese is melted and gently bubbling.
  6. Serve immediately.
