One Tea Party minus the Mad Hatter.

Phew. Lacey’s just gone down to bed. Hubby is on afternoon/night shift so I was pretty much flying solo (with Lacey) today.

I snuck out to grab some groceries early this morning while he was still in the land of sweet slumber. I now know where all the parents of crazy insomniac children hang. Coles. We were all there with our eyes hanging out of our heads. We gave each other the nod as if to say, I know, me too. Poor us.

Lacey just loves the shopping centre. She’ll just hang in the pram looking at everything and everyone for … well forever it seems. Reading the Sunday papers used to be one of my favourite things. I never get time for it anymore. Lacey is always grunting at me for something. Today I decided I’d read the paper at the shopping centre. I was the crazy sleep deprived Mumma reading the papers in the mall. That’s me.

Watch out. I might do it again next weekend too.

The diet went well today. I craved many, many sweet things throughout the day. I wanted chocolate and I wanted it bad. I made some jelly this morning though so I’ll probably dig into that when I’ve finished here.

I’m allowed sweet biscuits though. No chocolate. I had one this afternoon with a cup of green tea.

I love my new oversized tea cup from T2. It makes me feel like Alice in Wonderland. Everything is usually so dainty and small in comparison to my lofty, oversized self. This makes me feel wonderful. Small things, amuse big minds.

Whilst I drank, I pondered. I wondered where I want to be. What is my goal with all this dieting. I know it’s a forever thing now. It’s a whole life change. I’ve been at better places with my body before and would like to head back there again. I have a huge photo wall in our living room with photos from over the years. I looked over them and picked a few that I like and want to be back at again.

One day soon I’ll get a before shot of myself. I have a major photo phobia at the moment so I can’t make any promises.

So until then, you can find me at Coles. x
