Memory Lane.

I

spent the evening last night looking through our old photos taking a trip down memory lane. I was searching for a particular photo so had Hubby on the hunt too. It’s so easy to get distracted though and stop and look at all the photos from the past five years.

We laughed at how we’ve changed, adventures we’ve taken and things we’ve done. We sighed out how much Lacey has grown over these past twenty three months and asked: Was she ever really that small?

Hubby looked back and realised how much difference the 20 kilograms he’s lost had made a difference {whilst I silently grumbled about how much the 20 kilograms I’ve found over time has made a difference too}.
We finally found the photo I was looking for and got ready to head to bed. I’m going to shave my head, Hubby piped up.
Oh right, I replied, yeah I like when your head is shaved. You can do that tomorrow.

Oh no, right now, he insisted.
And so at 9:34pm we were in the bathroom shaving Hubby’s head. Lacey was still awake {darn that late afternoon nap she had} and she was amazed at what was going on. Hair Cut, she said with a look of concern on her little face.
And then we headed to bed, our hearts filled with love and memories.
I hope you have a lovely weekend planned. My lovely Mama {above in blue} is celebrating her 50th birthday. I’ve organised a breakfast by the beach for her. I’ll be busy baking cupcakes, celebrating and singing Happy Birthday. Lacey will be busy blowing out birthday candles over and over and over again {we’ve been practising at home}.
What do you have planned for the weekend, my friend?

*I may be a little bit tired and whole lot tipsy in that last photo – but look at how shiny my ring is! Pretty. {And a reminder that I need to get it cleaned for the first time ever}.
