Make Life Good #14: Check out your local farmers market and cook some healthier meals

Have you ever been to a Farmers Market? I love them. It’s the food, the farmers, the vibe… I just love it all. I’m there with my granny trolley, sometimes before the sun comes up, buying food for the week. Like I said, I love it.

This week’s challenge for the Make Life Good challenge is to check out your local Farmers Market, and cook some healthier meals. I love heading to my favourite fruit and vegetable stall {we don’t buy organic to save money} and buying what looks awesome and then dreaming up a dish. Sometimes, when I’m frazzled I’ll go with a list instead because it’s easier.

If you don’t know where your local market is, you can find you closest Farmers Market by checking out this handy tool.

Because I’ve been doing Farmers Market for over a decade now {which doesn’t make me old or anything!} I thought I’d share my tips for mastering the market and getting the best of the good stuff.

  • Going to the farmers markets has been on my list of things to do for forever so maybe this will give me the incentive I need. I have my trolley and I am good to go! Those recipes look delicious 🙂

  • I went to the farmers market the other day and I totally need a granny trolley!
