When it comes to eating in our house, we’re pretty boring. Our cupboards are filled with white plates, dishes and platters. Boooor–ing.
I’ve fallen in love with instagr.am, where people share photos on their iPhone, and through the sharing I’ve realised just how boring my plates really are. Susannah Conway shares photos from her day including breakfast, lunch and dinner and she manages to make a bowl of porridge super pretty with her beautiful bowls and plates.
Susannah openly shares where she buys all her goodies from, and the home of beauty is Anthropologie. Aren’t they stunning?
How does it work in your house? Do you have beautiful dishes for serving dinner, or simple white like us?
I am totally in love with Anthropologie 🙂 I have a mix-match of plates.
Cannot get enough of that place – even the outrageous shipping rates won't stop me. And Telle, did you know that they do a BRIDAL RANGE? Stop it.

For plates and bowls, I'm all about minimalist white. For mugs and tea cups on the other hand, the prettier and the brighter, the better! xx
We are boring with our White plates too. They are our original Ikea ones that are now starting to get very chipped. I LOVE the look of this store. And I'm with Jane, the prettier the cups the better! 🙂
I'm the same as Jane – plates and platters are all minimalist white but we have some really special china tea cups and mugs
i love collecting beautiful english china teacups & saucers but for dinner with 2 kiddies…hmm, boring is best until they learn to look after things.
loving those plates though!!
♥
I love beautiful crockery, plates and bowls especially.
However, we do eat our regular meals off a stock standard Maxwell & Williams white set. I do find the white makes the food itself look more appealing. But that's just me!
i can also recommend Etsy and second-hand shops 😀 xx
… and the plate with the horse on it was from Habitat – http://www.habitat.co.uk/
😉
Oh those plates are so unusual! I'm headed over there now to browse. I've had the same old plates forever and a day.
im crazy about anthropologie… i took about 100 photos on my iphone when i was in the usa in february! its kind of scary that they ship here…
