Letter To Lacey: Eight Months

You are such a smiley little munchkin. Everyone around us comments on you. It often surprises me how many people will comment, and the type of people who comment. Young men (who I’d assume have no interest in babies) will stop in their tracks and go on and on about how beautiful you are. I have to agree!

You never want to sit still. You want to always be on the move, always wanting to be entertained. You aren’t interested in crawling. You go from sitting up to onto your tummy and that’s enough for you. You’ve never liked being on your tummy. Standing is another thing though. You’d do it all day long, if you could. We think you might walk before you crawl. We’ll see.

You love any food. If you’re having a fussy day we know that you will always eat yoghurt and apple. You also love spaghetti bolognaise.

You go crazy over water. If you see me get out a bottle or glass of water you flap your arms and make a fuss until you get it. You definitely know what you want.

You love when I play with your little toes and sing this little piggy.

You can say Dadda and like to yell it as we drive home from work. You know who is going to be greeting you with a big cuddle and smooch when we get there.

You are the light of our lives and make us so happy. We love you, and will forever and ever. xx

  1. Oh, she's just beautiful 🙂 And so cute in her onesie!

Out of curiosity, did she end up walking before crawling? Anouk prefers standing to being on her front, as well, and we're wondering the same thing..
