Bring on a New Year! Never have we ever needed a fresh start more, and what better way to celebrate it than to take a photo each day… capturing every beautiful moment.

This year we celebrate TEN YEARS of photo a day, and it’s been such a beautiful ride with millions of photos shared. Everything you need to know about playing is below, but as always you can pop a question or comment in the comment section and I’ll come back and help you.

HOW TO PLAY PHOTO A DAY

+To play on Instagram

, simply check out the list for the daily prompt, and then snap a photo using that as inspiration. Share the photo to your feed and include the hashtag #FMSPAD in your caption. We also have daily hashtags to find photos better {see below}.

Over on our @fms.photoaday Instagram account, we love showing off photos from our community. You can look at the #FMSPAD hashtag to see all the great photos from our community.

+ To play on Facebook, you can share to your personal feed, or jump over and join our private Photo A Day Facebook group and share there.

We have a beautiful bunch of moderators in our Facebook group who select the photos from each day to highlight and give a little extra love in the community. It’s a fun, friendly place to get involved.

Take a photo of something blue; water, the sky, eyes, anything you can find!

What do you want to achieve this year? Share your hopes for 2022 in a photo.

Take a photo of something beginning with the letter G.

What word do you want to focus on in 2022? Share it in a photo.

Too often we don’t show up in photos, so this prompt is to encourage you to get in the photo.

Share a photo of what play looks like? Two animals playing, a game with your family. Show play in a photo.

What makes you happy? Share it in a photo.

11. Lunch
Show us what’s on your plate for lunch today.

Where are you today? Share it in a photo.

Show a photo of happiness!

14. Reflection
Show a reflection. It could be your own reflection in a mirror of shiny surface. Have fun with it.

15. Heck yes!
What do you say HECK YES to? I say yes to morning walks on the beach, cake, mojito cocktails, puppy dogs and cute babies.

What do you do to take care of yourself. Show what self care looks like for you.

Look up and share a photo of something in the sky.

Serenity means calm, peaceful and untroubled. Share that in a photo.
