Friday is {almost} here. The weekend is near.
Does that make you happy? It makes me happy. Hubby has the weekend off work, so I’m extra happy. I love our weekends together. I have a facial booked too. So that’s something else to look forward to.
The school holidays have arrived too. They start today. That means that the next three weeks are going to be nothing short of chaotic, and crazy… and cool. We’ve already planned everyday out. There are picnics, pyjama days and lots of other fun things jotted down.
I hope you’ve had a lovely week. Lacey is almost better. She still has a runny nose and a persistent cough. She’s definitely happier though. And that’s something to smile about.
Three other things that made me smile this week are:
1. Getting a photo emailed to me from my sister. It was of her licence. She passed and now has her licence in the USA, and a pretty cool car to go with it.
2. I downloaded this print by Belle and Boo. It’s snugly placed in a cute frame, and will be mounted above my desk. I love my little nook. It’s almost complete.
3. And lots of little things made me smile. My little one doing ‘cheers’ with her food and drink. Her attempt at I Love You. And Hubby taking the day off, just because.

I'm pleased to hear that Lacey's feeling better – poor little dot!
I noticed that the flowers on my Daphne bush are almost ready to blossom – the thought of their divine scent makes me happy. And my jasmine is covered in teeny red buds – the thought of drifting off to sleep at night, enveloped in the delicious scent of jasmine in a jug on my bedside table has me happy too.
My gorgeous daughter happily waving me off to school as she shouts “love you”, well, how could that not make a heart sing.

2. I made a wonderful lemon cheesecake – my new go to recipe.
3. Hubby won an award for his charity work 🙂
1. I hung out with my friend and her kiddies and we had such a nice chat.
2. I went to the coast with my nice boy and we walked on the beach, had a lovely lunch and ate ice cream.
3. I had delicious Thai for dinner.
4. I went to a new friends BBQ and met lots of nice new people.
5. I have a good book to read.
