Description
This easy cheese rolls recipe uses just 4 ingredients and delivers big cheesy flavour in every bite. Perfect for lunchboxes, parties or after-school snacks!
Ingredients
Scale
1 loaf of white sandwich bread (crusts removed)
1 can of evaporated milk
1–2 cups grated cheese (cheddar or tasty cheese works best)
1 packet French Onion Soup Mix (you can use half for a milder flavour)
Optional: melted butter for brushing + sweet chilli sauce to serve
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 170ºC (fan-forced). Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the evaporated milk, soup mix, and grated cheese. Stir over medium heat until the cheese is melted and everything is combined. Let the mixture cool slightly.
- Cut the crusts off the bread slices. Spread the cheesy mixture generously over each slice. Roll the bread up tightly. You can use toothpicks to hold them together if needed.
- Place the rolls seam-side down on your tray. Brush with a little melted butter for extra golden goodness. Bake for 10–15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with sweet chilli sauce or your favourite dipping sauce.
