Bake Sale.

Her recipes are simple. Delicious. Easy. And you don’t have to fly to Africa to pick up some obscure ingredient that is only grown in their earthly soil. Everything can pretty much be found at the supermarket, or in your cupboard.

Last week, after Ice Skating, I took the kids to Donna Hay’s new store for a treat. Her store is brand new and has a little bake sale on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

It looks beautiful. It smells beautiful. It feels beautiful. Downstairs is an array of stationery, candles, cake mixes, cooking utensils and more things that I probably glossed over as I eyed off the cakes and sweets in the back.

Upstairs is decor for children’s rooms. Well, to be honest I know there were more things but I got totally wrapped up in the sweetest chairs for children. There were mini designer versions. Like the Egg Chair and many others. I just wanted to take them all. I’ve been dying for a chair for Lacey’s room since forever. I didn’t even glance at the price tag. I knew they were beyond my reach.

It’s a beautiful little store. I will definitely visit again. I just need to work off the cupcake first. xx

  1. Yum! I love Donna Hay. I’d love to see her new store. I think Lacey would love the mini Louis ghost chair; aptly named the Lou Lou ghost chair.

  2. It was delicious. And it was only $2.95. It was actually a pretty heavy cupcake. Two of the kids thought it was too heavy.

The kids decor is very cute. I took some photos on my phone, but they’re not good quality. I felt a bit naughty taking sneaky pictures!

Belinda – It’s in Holdsworth Street, Woollahra.

  3. You…are…my…hero!!! I cant believe something like this exists on the internet! Its so true, so honest, and more than that you dont sound like an idiot! Finally, someone who knows how to talk about a subject without sounding like a kid who didnt get that bike he wanted for Christmas.
