Art Project.

A few years ago I started a Land Mail Art Object. It’s such a fun thing to do.

I love creating and making art, and this is a great way to let the creative juices flow.

It works like this. I purchased a blank journal/book and created some pages inside. Some people just do two pages, some do more. Each person takes up to about a week to create their pages. And then you send it on to another person. That person creates some more pages and then sends it on to another person. And so forth.

In the end the journal gets sent back to the original person. It can get sent back around if people want to look at all the work too.

I was thinking it would be a fun little thing to do here. We could get a group of about 10-20 people to participate. I’d buy the book and start it off. Take photos of my pages, sharing them on here. After each person has finished their pages they could send me the photos and I’ll put them up here so we can all see where it is up to.

You don’t have to be particularly good at art. You just have to want to be a part of it all.

Let me know if it’s something you’d want to be involved it. It may not work… it’s just a crazy thought I came up with last night when I couldn’t sleep.

  1. Hi Chantelle. I've seen a similar project to this on another friends blog, except they are scrapbooking a book together.

    I'd love to take part – not that i think I could actually contribute much by the way of 'art', but just because it sounds like a great thing to do!

  13. I found the scans of yours and mine from the first one: mine were so crap there is no way I'll embarrass myself and participate again!
