My life lately {in photos}

Here’s a handful of photos that have been hanging around on my iPhone begging me to blog them. Well, not really… but let’s pretend they have. Here’s what been happening in life lately.

We went to the Easter show and spent 10 minutes in the chicken hall. It was kinda 10 minutes too long. I have a bird phobia and while I tried to enjoy it I was on edge thinking they were going to escape and get me.

I’m a magazine lover and never, ever thought I’d like reading them digitally. But I do. I love downloading a mag and flipping through. So much cheaper! I’ve also been reading Bloom by Kelle Hampton. Will tell you how good it is one day soon!

I’ve have a beach babe on my hands. She would stay there all day if she could. Last weekend we spent the morning and the evening down there. Perfect!

I’ve decided the best time for the beach is the hour before sunset. Perfect temperature. No crowds. So calm.

I wrote earlier this week that we ditched her dummies. It’s seriously the best thing I ever did, parenting-wise. She’s a changed girl. So happy and cheerful. I’m amazed that this one thing would change her so much. So proud of her.

The other day she wanted to go for a walk with me so she went and got dressed. She put on a rash vest, denim shots, socks and these shoes. So daggy but so cute. As I write this I feel like my heart might explode because it was seriously so cute.

Saw this when we went out for breakfast last weekend. Funny?

Last weekend I had a blissed up couple of hours, with a facial and some eyebrow waxing. Oh and a pedicure. So indulgent but I felt so good afterwards. This is where I get my stuff done, under the chandelier.

When’s the last time you had ‘me’ time? How did you spend it?

  1. The last me-time I had was about a month ago (firsttime in AGES) and i went to book club for a couple of hours one evening and sipped at an awesome hot chocolate!

  2. I love that Lacey's a changed girl from the loss of her dummy. The 'dummy fairies' took Ella's away when she was 2.5yrs old & I couldn't believe the change it made. It's like they know what a special achievement it is & it empowers them! I too read BLOOM & loved it! I'm giving one away on my blog at the moment 🙂 Last time I had ME time?? Last week…dinner out with girlfriends = bliss 🙂
    xx

  3. So glad Lacey has done so well ditching her dummy – yay!! Great photos. Last time I had 'me' time… a night out with my husband last Saturday to see Mary Poppins, our first night out together since we had our second bub last October.

  4. Not recently – then again I spent like 4 hours reading on Wednesday and although I was shattered because it was 1am and a bit sad due to the subject of my book it was a good time.

  5. My last me time was when hubby let me sleep in this morning to cope with the new baby middle of the night feeds – bliss.

But I wanted to post because I got so excited that someone else shares my chicken phobia – thank god I am not alone

  6. Last me time? What's me time? Lol.

J/k. I get me time 4 times a week at the gym while the kiddies are in the play area. It's good for my sanity.

    xo

  7. I had a free afternoon today and spent it on the computer!! Not sure what that says about me. But I keep reminding myself that time spent doing something you enjoy is not time wasted (to completely paraphrase someone else's quote!) Lovely collection of photos and I love the idea of photos calling out from your phone 'blog me'

  8. LOVE that first photo.

The last time I had “me” time I laid under the covers and watch an episode of Grey's Anatomy. I rarely watch TV, and I rarely lay down without 1 or 2 people draping their arms or legs over mine, so this was awesome “me time” in my book.

  9. Thank you for that pause and deep breath of fresh air.

I give myself Friday mornings, doing Qi Gong outdoors with a group. Today our teacher said “Practice being mindful and in the moment, instead of the practice of stress and anxiety”.

  10. Awesome photos you really have a talent there.
I agree those shoes are so cute, and sensible. See girls you can be cute without being over the top 🙂

  11. Love the first photo – brilliant. 'Me time' – I think I got to got to the loo on my own once this week – I felt like I had won the lottery. Lovely blog – I must be the only person on the world who has only just started reading yours – apologies for being so tardy.

  12. Great photos! So jealous about the “Me Time” you had…cant remember the last time I had any of that!

Facial, eyebrow waxing and pedicure would be so nice 🙂
