I made this Anzac Day cake, after finding the recipe in an old cookbook that was left at the bakery near my home (they made a book library of sorts, and I'm a sucker for a cookbook).

It's all those delicious, familiar flavours of the biscuits we love and have grown up with, but in a cake 🙌

Feels like the perfect way to spend today, which seems oddly, and enjoyably long after getting out of the house early for Dawn Service.

Especially now that the weather is getting cooler, and we’re moving away from the beach, we love visiting @tweedregionalmuseum in @thetweed_nsw - and they’ve got the most beautiful exhibition on at the moment. Look at that rainbow-themed room! 🌈💗

There’s something for everyone, with a carefully, creatively curated collection of goodies in the Omnia (meaning ‘all and everything’) exhibit, from quirky, to teeny, and to riveting. Don’t missing the 6 minute tales, where you can learn about the time a beer truck accidentally tipped its load into a swamp and the locals revelled in SWAMP BEER. It was a thing, and it was wild!

✨ Entry is completely FREE, but they also have activities during the school holidays for a small fee. The kids made maps, and had a blast.
🙋 If you want to explore kid-free, the museum offers tours on Friday afternoons with museum curator Erika, which includes a complimentary drink.
🤟 A beautiful, inclusive tour is also available, where AUSLAN interpreters join the tour to guide deaf and hard of hearing people through the museum, as well as the local art gallery and Margaret Olley Gallery.

I’ve shared our experience over on my blog, if you want to have a peak, but my advice is, just get yourself there. The kids loved it (yep, even the teen 🙌), and I think you will too!

For so long, in the years after having Lulu, I tho

For so long, in the years after having Lulu, I thought I wanted another baby. Another being to bring into the world, that smell, that cuteness, and that first meeting after birth, it was all just so magical.

I desperately tried to be present, and soak up every moment, knowing they were probably my lasts. The last feed, the last time I carried them, the last drive in the car seat, the last time zipping up those snuggly onesies…

I realised it wasn’t another baby I longed for, it was more of them. If I had one wish, I’d go back, in a heartbeat, and live one more day with them. To hold them, to hear those cute toddler laughs, to smell that newborn smell.

The years haven’t been easy, especially as I discover who I am as a parent and navigate parenting a neurodivergent child, and some days are so hard I question everything, but for the most part, I’d choose to do it again, over and over.

These two, and with Shane, are the best team I ever could have dreamed of. And while the world hasn’t always been kind, these girls have always remained that way, kind through and through… and I love that, and always will.

If we were to count the joys in life, I think potatoes and cheese would be close to the top of the list 👀 and this just combines the two in the most magical, comforting way.

It's like a fancy take on potato bake, and you don't even have to find the potato peeler for it (win!). You bake the potatoes in the oven, with their skins on, and then once they're cooled... you grate those babies, smother them in sour cream, along with some sliced shallot, and cheese. And then you bake her til golden. The recipe is over on my blog (the latest blog post), if you want to save it, print it, and bookmark it for later.

I guess the biggest question is; do you serve it with something? Or just grab a fork and dig in? 🫣

Super excited to announce the launch of this sleep

Super excited to announce the launch of this sleepwear collaboration between two of my favourites, @takingshapestyle and @disneyaunz. I love Winnie the Pooh and his tender heart, and his beautiful friends... so it felt so right when I was asked to be the model for this collection.

Personally, I'm not feeling super confident in my body at the moment (and I'm determined to enter my self care season and put myself first), I hope that others can see themselves in this collection and the photos, because I know that I love to see people just like me too - and tummies and cuddly bodies are real!

I'm ever so grateful to the team at Taking Shape for always being so beautiful at championing for fashion at every size, and welcoming me into the studio with such love, and enthusiasm. They really are the best people!

The collection is filled with the softest fabrics (in sizes 12 to 30) - I actually only wear Taking Shape sleepwear now, they do it SO well - and sweet designs. You can see the complete range over on their site.
