6 things I did on the weekend & 1 thing I totally didn’t.

Knit and crochet. Thats about it.
Went to the Collingwood Children’s Farm market. Spent more time driving around looking for a park than I did at the market.
Awesome!! The chocolate fudge cake isn’t a failure either. It was just so big and so good it couldn’t stay in the tin. I bet it still tasted good.
Took my Mum out to lunch for her birthday, spoiled her and spent the entire day with my family swimming, eating and just generally enjoying it.
I painted one of our bathrooms (well, finished what I started at the beginning of the week) whilst my husband watched rugby.
Chantelle, one thing I did over the weekend was to read this beautiful post: http://myfriendteresablog.com/so-youre-feeling-too-fat-to-be-photographed/
I shared it straight away on FB, and hope it’s OK to share it here. You and the readers/photographers here may appreciate it (even if not loving having your photo taken has nothing to do with weight!)
PS. Hope you weren’t making the choc fudge cake for an important occasion!!
One thing I did was visit with my daughters and grandchildren!
Met my son’s girlfriend parents..was a lovely afternoon:)
Nice to hear that it went well. x
I caught up with my oldest friend – we both live in the same city, but with kids, and family and life generally getting in the way, it doesn’t happen near as often as it should. After months of conflicting schedules, family commitments and sick kids, we scheduled a much needed catch up yesterday. I also took my girls swimming, and did some cooking. Here’s my attempt at ravioli http://thisside-ofme.blogspot.com.au/2013/02/ravioli-98-fail-free.html.
I took Miss M on a speed boat for the first time and had a lovely weekend away up the Murray River 🙂
Packed up my eldest son’s room and took him shopping for uni essentials. He’s leaving on Saturday. Wasn’t he just in nappies? 😉
I ran 9 miles with my daughter (we’re training to run a half-marathon next month). love that it actually made me feel a few years younger than my 50 years!!
Had my 1st ever ride in an ambulance……@ 53 I think that’s good ! And just saying, so where the drugs!
The Sydney Colour Run with miss A while hubby minded raffy. All much colourful, healthy fun
When I read this I thought, this girl is literally on the other side of the world (I am In Puerto Rico), and every time I read her post I feel like she is my next door neighbor. Just like the Disney ride, is a small world after all….
Went to the singles dinner conference, and had make up and hair done by my friend who happens to be a beautician, had a blast by the way, and spent sunday, just as lazy as it could be, after going to church 🙂
Got car sick during a 45 minute journey and had to sleep it off on my return home.
I wish I could name something I did over the weekend, but mine was generally all that I didn’t do.. I’m usually pretty tough about my head aches, but then comes the days when I’ve just simply had enough and can’t get out of bed anymore. yesterday was one of those days. really looking forward to this week and next weekend tho, if I can’t conquer the pain, I can at least try to ignore it and make myself busy organizing hubby’s big 30th birthday party for Saturday 🙂
Sounds like a wonderful weekend. Hope the week will be just as good (with a blogpost here and there ofcourse. We otherwise would miss you :-))
Ha, I know what you mean about doing the shopping on your own. I did too, and it was so relaxing!
I ate donuts. In the car as we couldn’t wait until we got home to eat them. so we ate them there and then! soo yummy!
Caught up with some friends at a cafe, without my kids!! It was awesome as my friends also left the kids at home, woo hoo, finally a couple of hours chat with other adults not having to worry about the kids, was awesome must do it again… and again… and again!! x
Stayed home with our boys on Saturday while hubby drove up to Sydney to pick up our older sons car. He is not going to need it for the next 12 months so we get to use it – and its really nice 🙂
Sounds like the perfect week. Shopping alone is certainly a piece of bliss, no?
