July Photo A Day Challenge 2018

Photo a day /

Hello you!

Today I’m bringing you the list for July, and this month I’ve had a little bit of help from my mate Jenny from Love Wednesday. Jenny has kindly put together the prompts for us, and I hope that you find them both challenging and inspiring.

HOW TO PLAY

+ Playing along is really simple! Just look at the list each day and take a photo using the prompt as inspiration. So, for example, Day 1 is LONELY, so all you have to do is take a photo of something alone, solo or lonely.
+ You can then share your photo on either Facebook or Instagram or both! To share on Instagram, just upload with the hashtag #FMSPAD and you’re done {more details below if you need them though!} and to share on Facebook, upload to your personal page or jump into our Facebook group and share there.

HOW TO PLAY ON INSTAGRAM

+ Simply upload the photo to Instagram, add a caption {you could mention the day and the prompt in the caption}, add the hashtag #FMSPAD and then publish.
+ Check out the #FMSPAD hashtag to see all the other photos. Like them. Comment on them. Be part of the community.
+ Each day a Fab Four is picked from the photos shared on Instagram for the challenge. It’s four photos that have captured our attention from each prompt. Check the feed here to see the photos.
+ To make it easier to find all the daily photos, you can find and use the daily hashtags below. Simply add them to your caption when uploading to Instagram.  Alternatively, my App {The Little Moments App for iPhone/iPad} generates the daily hashtag for you automatically so it takes all the thinking out of it for you!

HOW TO SHARE ON FACEBOOK

+ Upload the photo in our Facebook Photo A Day group {you’ll be added within 12 hours of requesting}, add a caption {you could mention the day and the prompt in the caption} and then publish. You’re also welcome to share on your personal page, if that’s how you like to roll.
+ Check out the photos shared in the group, or among your friends. Comment, like and be part of the photo-taking community.
+ Each day a Fab Four is picked from the photos shared in our Facebook group for the challenge by our lovely admin team. It’s four {or more} photos that have captured our attention from each prompt. The photos are made into a collage, shared and pinned to the top of the group.

HOW TO REMEMBER THE PROMPTS EASILY

+ For all devices and PC, we upload the prompts which you can download automatically into your phone or PC calendar. For Smartphones & Mac Calendar, click here. For HTML for web viewing, click here.
+ You can also print out the list, save it as your screensaver or save it to your camera roll.
+ If you’re a lucky iPhone or iPad owner, you can use the Little Moments App to remind you of what the prompts are, as well as make your photos a bit fancy. You can grab the App here.

If you want more help with the prompts, and ideas of what to take photos below, read on:

1. Lonely
Take a photo of something on it’s lonesome. Show solitude in a photo.
2. Furry
Take a picture of your fur baby or maybe you see a fabulous jacket or cushion.
3. Hot
What’s the weather like where you are? Are you eating a hot lunch? Maybe the love of your life is super gorgeous! Show us.
4. Heart
Love heart shapes are everywhere. Can you find a heart shape in nature today? Hearts can often be found on pyjamas and kids toys or make a heart with your hands.
5. Tired
Catch someone sleeping! Or spy an animal yawning? Maybe a cup of hot coffee will wake you up.
6. Blush
Take a picture of something coloured blush or the human reaction!
7. Yawn
Animals and babies yawning make for the cutest captures. But maybe you can top that with something super boring that you can creatively capture.
8. Wonky
Is there something a little lopsided in your world? Show us!
9. Black
Take a photo today showing the colour black.
10. Lucky
Are you feeling lucky? Snap a picture of something you’ve won or something you’re grateful for.
11. Outdoor
What can you see outside today? Take a picture of your soundings or an outside activity.
12. Energy

13. Hooray
YAY! Let’s celebrate something. Show us something good no matter how big or small.

Now is your chance to take that perfect white background shot. You don’t need a light box. A white wall, a light coloured carpet or a bath tub can be the perfect white backdrop.
15. Sport
What is your fave sport to play or watch? Show us your best sporty capture!
16. Close
Are your children or pets close? Is there someone you’re close with that you’d like to share with us today? It would be FAB to see a close call!
17. Yummo!
Give us all food envy. Show us something yummy!
18. Young
Take a photo of something young and share it.

25. Fave colour
Find your favourite colour and show us in a picture.
26. Pile
Show us an interesting pile of washing, sandwiches, cushions – anything really!
27. Gift
Do you need to wrap a present for someone or have you received something special lately?
28. Helpful

Cool baby cool! Show us your coolest collections or something frozen. What’s the weather like today? Do you need your cool sunnies or a jacket because it’s actually cool?
30. Delight
What is something delightful that makes you smile? Snap a photo and share with us.
31. Faceless portrait
A faceless portrait is just as it sounds, a photo without a face. Have some fun with this! Cover up a person’s face with a pillow or book. Take a photo of another part of them {like their feet}. Get creative!

Have a great month! x
