Easy Chocolate Slice Recipe

Ingredients

150g butter, melted

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup caster sugar

1 egg

1/2 cup plain flour

1/3 cup self-raising flour

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1/2 cup desiccated coconut

ICING
2 cups icing sugar

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

30g butter, chopped

2 tablespoons boiling water


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 160ºC fan-forced, and line a slice tray with baking paper. Mine is 27cm by 17cm.
2. In a medium sized bowl, combine all of the ingredients {not including the icing ingredients, of course} and stir to combine. Press into the prepared tin and bake for 20-25 minutes, until slightly firm.
3. Allow to cool, and then make icing. To make icing, combine the butter and bowling water in a small mug, and stir until the butter is melted. In a small bowl place the icing sugar and cocoa, and mix to combine. Add in the water/butter mix, and the vanilla extract. Stir to bring together, and continue until the mix is smooth. Spread onto slice base. To decorate you can sprinkle with extra coconut, or even colourful sprinkles.
