24 Hour Travel Guide: Hastings Point

Hello! Today I want to tell you about a little spot near home, that I love and am keen to share with you. It’s a quiet little spot, that’s super beautiful and feels almost undiscovered. Here’s how you should spend 24 hours in Hastings Point if you’re ever lucky enough to visit.

EAT | Pottsville Pantry

If you’re going to start your day somewhere, I think this is the place. We indulged in the eggs benedict, which was delish. If you’re looking for a more grab-n-go brekky, the bakery around the corner is huge and enticing.

DO | Walk Norries Head

This walk is one of my favourites, and you’ll be in awe how quickly you can go from beach, to almost rainforest to the top of a cliff. It’s magic, and the perfect way to work off a big breakfast.

EAT & DRINK | Paper Daisy

Paper Daisy is the restaurant inside Halcyon House, and it’s worth stopping by for. The food is amazing, as is the drink menu, but the decor will have you snapping away and sharing on Instagram.

DO | Swim and stay cool

We stayed at North Star Holiday Resort and it has just undergone a huge, HUGE makeover and has new slides. We stayed for a week and the kids spent most of their time sliding and swimming. Happy days!

STAY | North Star Holiday Resort

The North Star Holiday Resort is somewhere we’ve stayed a few times, plus it’s the spot where friends and family use for staycations. My sister held a big family Christmas week for her in-laws last year, and it was a blast. There are cabins, houses, spots for tents, and caravans too. There’s a cafe out the front, in case you like things a little bit fancy, that offers buffet each day and different themed dinners each night.

EAT | Pottsville Sports Club

I was introduced to this place through a friend who had a party there, and straight away I wondered how I didn’t know it even existed. There’s a great grassy area for the kids to play, as well as a playground, great food at pub prices, and a totally chilled atmosphere to make you feel like you’re on holidays.

DO | Swim at Hastings Point

This spot is magic. It has the most beautiful creek, and beach, that’s perfect for the whole family to swim or paddle board. Each time we visit I always wonder why I don’t spend more time there.

Have you ever holidayed around Hastings Point? What are your favourite things to do?

My family and I stayed as guests of North Star Holiday Resort. All opinions are my own.
