Win a year’s supply of Vaseline Total Moisture

We live in a country where the sun shines brightly and our childhoods were spent mostly in swimmers {togs, bathers, bikini… whatever you call them, where ever you are}. I know that I’ve been badly sunburned a handful of times as a teen. I also have a freckly, red-headed husband who spent his life in the sun. I vow to make sure that Lacey doesn’t get sunburned, ever. I hope I can fulfill that, plus teach her how to be sun smart.

Last year I shared a video about skin cancer. It was the Dear 16 year old me video. See it here. Traci, a reader of this blog, saw the video and then booked in for a skin check and saved her skin {and potentially her life} by having a spot removed.

Vaseline recently released a new product, a Aloe Fresh Lotion with a SPF 15 that they say is easy to use year round and will not only protect your skin, but nourish it too. As part of the launch they chose a gaggle of bloggers in Australia and sent them all a little goodie bag of products, as well as some of their friends. So not only do I get to protect my own skin, but my friends too. I like that.

They’re also giving one Fat Mum Slim reader the chance to win a year’s supply of Vaseline Total Moisture Aloe Fresh SPF 15 {that’s a bottle for every month of the year}. All you have to do is pop over to their Facebook page and copy this sun fact into their form and select that you’re coming from my blog. Worth the effort. Here’s the sun fact to copy and paste:

“As much as a short walk from the train to work is enough to cause incidental sun exposure.”

Do you wear a cream with SPF every day? Or do you sometimes forget, like me?

  1. I tend to forget and ended up really badly burnt a week or so ago! Was terrible and now I am trying really hard to remember to do myself. Kids are done every time without fail though!

  2. I'm not very good with sunscreen on my body. I'm fine on holidays, but at home I'm pretty slack unless it is going to be 35º+ I do wear moisturiser on my face with spf15, and I have recently started putting it on the back of my neck too.

  3. hmmmn, I am allergic to aloe vera so won't enter. I use a sunscreen evveryday on my face, whether it be in the cream, on top or in the makeup. But not the bod, but I do cover up well if I am outside in the middle of the day, which I avoid like crazy!

  4. I have this actual product and keep it in my car. I have really fair skin and was noticing my right arm was getting burnt while driving. My grandma always wore sunscreen on the top of her hand and I follow her tip so my hands don't look old before their time.

  5. I wear Ultraceuticals spf everyday and coat penny in a lather as well. her fair skin doesn't take long to burn. levi on the other hand doesn't like his mum rubbing cream into his face & arms anymore. he is one of those lucky ones though that tans beautifully. i think this is a great giveaway.

  6. I am pretty lazy when it comes to apply sunscreen, plus its so expensive to buy….I use moisturiser on my face which contains sunscreen atleast!!

  7. I always use sunscreen ,all my family have fair skin except my hubby ,and he got skin cancer last year from not using it ,we had a very nasty scare but he has had it cut out and been declared cancer free now ,he does need to go for regular checkups incase it comes back and a nasty scar from surgery but he has now learnt the dangers .

  8. Since having children I always put on sunscreen before they head to school. So now it always reminds me to do the same, I wear a tinted suncreen over my face and it looks great!

  9. I must admit, I rarely remember to put any face cream on – let alone SPF. Even though I'm an indoor girl, I really should wear some. Even the winter sun can be hard on your skin!

  10. Everyday, and I have for years, plus a hat when walking outside. People are often surprised when I say I have a daughter at Uni – long may it continue.

  11. this product is awesome. It absorbs really well, smells great and a bonus of the spf 15+ as I am such a dill and often forget to apply sunscreen. So hope to win this one 🙂
