    My favourite room in my house is our massive downstairs kitchen/living area. It's so open, bright and best of all, I can watch TV and only be about 5 steps away from my chocolate stash in the fridge! What could be better?!

  3. my bathroom – we decorated it ourselves in a distinctive travertine, love the end look. It also has a great view to trees. It's a peaceful part of the house, with the BEST shower to boot!

    I love our bedroom. We live in an older, very much non-fancy house, but our bedroom is filled with colour from a quilted bedspread and heart bunting over it, there are plants and lots of prints and photos of what we love. Plus there is no tv or distractions, which makes it a real retreat.

    The entry hallway, because it's the only room that looks like my “grown up” house, rather than the “share house” look in the other rooms!

  8. The kitchen and sitting area which are adjoined are my fave spots. This area is the central point to our home and a place where I can cook or sit and read in comfort.

    As we are renovating it is a work in progress! I can't wait for it to be finished!

    My favourite room in the house is my new living room. This space used to be the laundry and spare room, but we've knocked down walls, put in six panels of bifold doors looking out over our backyard. Sitting in the morning sunshine in my new space is pure bliss.

    (But it needs some more furniture!! – hello Freedom!)

  14. My favorite room in my house is the living room – it's where everything happens for us. We eat, watch TV, dancing performances happen, cuddles, open fire, stories, shared moments from the day, sleeping in the afternoon and lots and lots of laughs!

    I have been deliberating for a while but I think my favourite room in the house is my daughters bedroom – though I am still working on it, she has a beatiful bed, linen and a gorgeous rug on the floor that all matches – the rest of our home is a mish mash of whatever we have managed to get our hands on over the years.

  28. My favourite room is our lounge room. It is the centre of our tiny home. It is the focus of our family time – cuddles, play dough, etc – and also our retreat area when kiddies in bed. Its the room where we had my baby shower, where we celebrate birthdays and discuss the big issues. Many great memories in that one room.

We bought our first home and I was finally able to personalise her bedroom – she has a fairy decal on the pink feature wall, her name and some butterflies up around the room. It has a big cosy armchair with a matching foot stool that we cuddle in and read stories. When she was little it was her feeding chair and I've lost count of the number of times I slept in that chair cuddling my newborn baby girl.
    It's a room full of love and life and she is the brightest thing in our lives – her room is what makes our house a home.

    My favourite room in our house would probably be our dining room as it gets so much light and sun whereas the rest of the house is dark. I love sitting in the sunny dining room in the morning having breakfast and my cup of tea.

    I love my loungeroom, because I can lounge there, but my couch & chairs, don't match, thus making me cringe when people ask to come over! Due to the hideous tartan pattern on my couch that causes my brain to hurt, my bedroom is my most favourite room. At least when I am in there, I am about to sleep so I don't have to look at what's wrong with it. Haha.

    My hubby & I will be building our home soon & lately I've developed a slight obsessive interest in house designs/interior decorating. I love flicking through house interior magazines & ooo & ahhh over the luxurious(& expensive!!) designs & ideas.
    My absolute favourite room in the house would be the bathroom. There is definitely nothing more relaxing (after a 10 hour shift) than a warm bath with yummy fragranced bubbles. I'm loving the white tea & jasmine by apivita. Even when I was growing up, my favourite room has been the bathroom. My mum would always buy different soaps & toys for bath times. And I always switch off the lights & use scented candles to slowly drift away. Absolute blisss.

  219. My favourite room is our play room filled with our 'toys' – even some for the grown ups!! Our time together in this room is priceless!

  220. My favourite room is my bedroom, it is the one place that is all mine and my sanctuary. Nothing is as good as coming home and flopping on the bed after work!

My favourite room is my family room..it has all my memories stored in there, I've just been doing it up..I have so far just brought an old vintage rocker so I can sit on it with a coffee and go through all my old photos and reminisce, it still needs to be furnished to make the room complete, the kids love to join hubby and i on the weekend and we go through our old home videos. For us this is the perfect room in the house! All of our memories in one room, So if I win this Our ideal family bonding room will be complete. x

  227. My fav room? Our central large room that is a combination bedroom and living room- all nasty opshop furniture- wish I had something nice.

  228. My fav room is the lounge which was refurnished last year with Freedom furniture. Oh and the help of Gavin the Freedom decorator. Beautiful!

  230. My fave room in the house at the moment is the kitchen as its the only part that has been renovated… Still could use more cupboard space… But at least it looks NEW!!!

    My fave room is our loungeroom, where we hang out, eat, watch tv, laugh, party, dance, play and snuggle. It's warm, pretty, inviting and ours. 🙂

  233. My favourite room is a room that's not in our current home but a previous home, where I had a dedicated craft room. There was a big desk with return running around the majority of the walls and shelving where the desk wasn't. Now I have a shed with 6 tea chest boxes full of craft “stuff” that I can't get to! 😉

  234. My favourite room in our house is my middle son's dinosaur bedroom. It's so much fun and features a shaggy green rug and a dinosaur mural. Mikko is 3 year's old and has autism. The colour green is supposed to be calming, the dinosaurs….. not so much!

  235. Its my bedroom..its the place I get a small break from the kids..sometimes I even send myself there if Im shouting ..its only fair that I have time out too! ..with a coffee and a new magazine of course.

  238. I adore my daughter's room – a fairy garden filled with flowers, butterflies, fairies and a wonderland tent for her private play and reading. Wish I could sleep there! Love you site, has been a great inspiration to my life goals.

  240. I love my dining room, not because of the way it looks, but this is where my family gets together. We have dinner as a family each day and though at times discussions get fiery, mostly it's just beautiful family time 🙂

  246. The living room. Its where we spend 90% of out time. With the recliner, TV, 2 computers and us 4 all in the same room its the warmest room in the house during Winter haha

  250. My favourite room would be a toss up between the lounge room and the bedroom, both places are great for snuggling watching movies and simply being a family.

  252. Our family/games room. Vibrant room full of fun and laughter, a place to totally unwind, set the stress free, leave the daily grind behind.

    I get to work up a sweat, get messy, creative and teach my kids healthy and some unhealthy (blame the cupcakes) eating habits!! 🙂

  258. Hi great comp. I love our loungeroom, with our corner lounge with a dbl recliner side by side, relaxing to watch tv in! I would like it to be bigger but it suits us just fine.

  259. The Ensuite. The kids often don't think to look form me there, particularly if I leave the bedroom light off. Sometimes I just sit on the closed toilet lid and read in peace.

  260. My SEWING ROOM – The CENTRE of CREATIVITY in the house – Sparkly sequined costumes, beaded tiaras, swatches of old fabrics, sketches, buttons & bows surround my favourite glass desk & sewing machine – IF ONLY THERE WERE MORE HOURS IN THE DAY!

  261. My favourite room in my house is currently the entrance way. It shows how far we have come and where we are going. x

  262. My Loo is my favourite room in the house. It takes my 4 year old boy atleast 2 minutes to work out where I am! 2 minutes of silence…hmmm sometimes silence. The loo isnt just a place for pooh. It is a haven where ladies can do there best thinking and read gossip magazines before hearing the words 'mummmmm'.

  263. My bedroom is my favourite room in the house. It is my sanctuary, the place I always feel safe and comfortable. I love having my room filled with cushions and candles, after a long day at work it is heaven to come home to.

  266. My favourite room is our meals area where we eat. I love spending time all together as a family. Sharing a meal seems to encourage laughter, the sharing of thoughts and has a wonderful relaxing effect on everyone. No matter what is happening in our lives, every child (and adult) leaves the table smiling and feeling good!

  267. Our bedroom, because me, hubby, Mr 8, Miss 6, Miss 7mths and even the the fur babies can all fit in our ‘Freedom’ Kingsize bed!
