Point & Shoot: La Fiesta.

Hello

. Nice to see you here.

What a cracker of a weekend! I spent Friday night up most of the night watching Dora {thank you Nick Jr for screening good kid’s shows at 3am, thank you}. Saturday was a blur of overtired tantrums {me}, more refusing to sleep {Lacey}, eyebrows, nails and black cardigan shopping {how hard is it to find the perfect cardigan? Seriously}.
Saturday night rolled around and it was time for… La Fiesta! La Fiesta was a night for the Heal For life charity held at CarriageWorks in Eveleigh. It was a festival of the Spanish flavour filled good people {some famous}, lots of wine & sangria and lots of fun. We were seated next to a few tables filled with Masterchef people {Jonathon, Alvin, Matthew, Joanne, Justin, Courtney & others}, a few more tables over were actors from Underbelly and others from Home & Away.

{Spanish dancing at the Masterchef table}

{A fizzy drink was given to guests on arrival & there was entertainment coming from everywhere, even from holes in the wall}

I was designated driver so it was quite interesting to watch the sangria-affected crowd get ‘happy’ but rounding them up at the end of the night proved quite difficult, yet a little bit entertaining.

The loot included: Natasha scarf, ModelCo lipgloss and eye pencil, chocolates & Nando sauce among other things. You’ve got to love a goodie bag, right?
Also inside was a wee little business card, belong to my sister… who organised the whole event, which was massive. Out of this world beyond amazing. We’re so proud of her. And she should be proud of herself too, she’s done so well. {If you ever need an event manager, she’s your woman – contact me for details}.
I was so exhausted that I crashed into bed {after washing off my make-up} and didn’t wake until 9:30am. That’s a record for me. Thankfully Lacey decided to play along as well… so I woke to her telling me she loved me. There’s simply no better way to wake up. ♥
How was your weekend? Did you get much sleep? Did you have much fun?

*For those that want/need to know where to find the perfect black cardigan {for me that means not too long or baggy, must have long sleeves – 3/4 will just not do – and no sequins, frills or ghastly buttons, and won’t shrink in the wash} I can tell you that I found success at Myer with David Lawrence & JAG. They’re on sale too. Bargain.

  1. looks like you sis did a really good job. I love love love sangria.
    My weekend was a lot like yours – well actually it wasn't. Same celebrities – just mine were on the TV still, not at the table next to me.

  2. Sounds like a great weekend! Minus the lack of sleep on Friday night, of course.

    My weekend was a perfect balance of fun and relaxing. On Saturday morning, I had the most amazing breakfast at the Bavarian Bier Cafe in Bondi, followed by an afternoon of lying on the couch and an evening of cocktails and pizza. Unfortunately I spent my Sunday working, but spent most of my shift reading magazines and eating Kit Kats so it wasn't too bad.

    I keep forgetting to take a photo for point and shoot, so hopefully next weekend I'll remember. x

  3. Wow….sounds like you had an amazing Saturday night 🙂 Your sister did a superb job!!
    As for the shocking sleep on Friday night…that was me on Thursday night with a certain sleepless toddler…yes, thank god for nighttime kids tv lol.
    Have a great week xo.

  4. Well done to your sis. Loving that scarf, YAY to GOOD goodie bags! Did you manage to find a good cardi? Please share.

    Hey I had an idea, I might write to the government to bring in a Foxtel rebate for parents, it could be claimed via mental health because there has been many a time that Foxtel has saved my sanity!!!

  5. Oh yes! A rebate for Foxtel. Yes please! We don't have a DVD player, so we very much need Foxtel {for sanity's sake, of course}.

    I picked up two cardigans Bel, from David Lawrence & JAG. Love them to bits. Wearing the David Lawrence one right now. 😉

  6. Black cardi's are nigh on impossible to find and I agree with your criteria. Sounds like a marvellous weekend despite the lack of sleep (I think I've had 8 hours in total over the last 3 nights so understand completely). Congrats to your sis too – as a fellow events person I know how much ridiculously hard work goes in to this type of thing.

  7. I'm off to Myer to grab a black cardi (I bet they have a rush today!) Thanks for the tip. Your weekend sounded fabbo (except the sleep bit). Mine was also great (except the sleep bit).
